fairies don't actually give birth to the stones, (which is their primary form, btw)
rather, they combine their energy in a heart locket and then 'tune' it to then produce a stone~c:

Correction: Fairies give birth to cabbages, that is what occurs in nature. Only the Fairysmiths may produce stones, hence being Fairysmiths.
