Caleb cocked his head in an innocent smirk. "Why, I said that."
He was still looking at her when she commented on the sunset. "Yes... Beautiful." He said it without really knowing what he was refering to. He felt his face warm and turned his head quickly toward the sunset. "Yep. Very pretty sunset."

She rolled her eyes at Caleb and walked got up again and walked towards the sunset, "I wonder what would happen if we ever got a chance to touch it, I wonder how it would feel" she said genuine wonder in her voice. "You never seemed like the kind of fox to comment on a pretty sunset" she said staring back at Caleb then shrugging it off.

Caleb shrugged bashfully. "Well, this sunset is particulary pretty I guess."
Then he cocked his head. "Touch the sun? I think..." He caught up to Genesis and smiled, his voice becoming slightly dreamy. "I think it'd be warm. Comfortable. Like being in the presence of a devoted love."

"Well I don't see anything different but they are always beautiful" she said content. She was surprised by the poetic sense his voice had when he described what in his mind touching the sun would feel like. "I think it would be like feeling the warmth of the grass in the middle of the meadow" she said calmly.

Caleb blushed, turning his muzzle away slightly, speaking quickly. "Ah, yeah. That's a bit more realistic than what I said."
He flicked his tail, afraid of speaking and sounding like a dork again. Really! Devoted love... As if he knew what that was.

"Oh, we don't know it could be as cold as snow with what we know of what the sun feels like" she said smiling to try and comfort her friend. She yawned as the last rays of the sun sank beneath the earth it's rays calmly dying down into he night.

Caleb chuckled. "True. It does continue to shine in the winter after all." The contagious yawn did it's work, pulling Caleb into a deep yawn of his own.
"Well, it's getting late. Would you like to go to bed, or wanna stay out a little more? Whichever you prefer."

"I'm sleepy" she said yawning once more and stretching. She didn't want to leave him but she was so tired. "I don't want to stay in my new den alone" she said hoping he would stay. It was spacious enough and she had never resided in such a big cave so she was a little frightened.

A warm blush flooded Caleb's face. He felt lucky it was getting dark to hide it.
"Kinda like a sleep over." He said, trying to put it in a different perspective for himself. Nothing had changed! they'd only gotten older! ....Right?
He could sense she was a bit nervous, but knew she wouldn't want him to know. "Like, a celebration of the new den." He said cheerfully with a nod. "I'd love to. Bring back the 'old days' at your mom's house."

"Yes like a sleep over" she agreed. The cave was big and she was terrified for when she would stay there alone. She was embarrassed "Just like when we where kits, I hate to admit it but I am scared of how big it is" she said lowering her head and blushing.

Caleb's jaw dropped. Had she just admitted fear?! "Who are you, and what have you done with Genesis?" He demanded playfully before pawing her tail. "Don't worry. You can count on me!" He stood up tall, chest puffed out bravely.

Genesis managed a slight chuckle in the darkness. She had always been afraid of being alone in big spaces, especially in the dark. She had never come to anyone about it keeping her head high all of the time. "Ya" she half heartedly chuckled but happy he would stay.

Caleb snickered at Genesis before his gaze softened slightly. She'd told him she was afraid... She'd never done that before. This observation made him absurdly proud of himself.
"Well, shall we head inside then?" He asked as he stood up, tilting his head inquiringly.

Genesis felt the mood return to the light friendly atmosphere she loved so much. "Yes" she agreed walking into the mouth of the cave. She was happy to open up to him her best friend, sure she was friends with others like Caleb's brother Sai but she had never felt anything like she had felt for Caleb. She had made a simple bed for herself out of moss and then turned and made a bed for Caleb out of the soft dry moss that grew in the cave.

Following after her, Caleb walked slowly to allow his eyes to adjust to the darkness. Grasping every bit of light inside, he was able to help Genesis make up his bed. Hesitantly, she pushed it a little closer to Gen's own bed.
"The better to watch over you." He explained bashfully.
