The trio went upstairs to Desere's room, and knocked on the door.
Desere opened the door sleepily "What, what? I'm up. Buncha people at the cafe across the street..." She saw Auren and was instantly awake. "Homygoshsir! It's really you! You're alive!"
Auren nodded. "I just want to go Home. I have a lot to tell." he said sullenly.
"Yessir!" she said immediately. "Though they say the Queen's across the street."
Auren winced. "Vashkir, can you go and get her? She may want to come with me."
Vashkir saluted and headed out the door. Auren leaned against the wall tiredly.
"...Are you the only one?" she asked very quietly.
"Yes." he replied, not meeting her eyes.

Oriana sipped her coffee and did her best to stop her migraine from pulsing through her head. The light bothered her, the heat, the people gasping and talking about her, everything...
'Why the hell did he have to up and leave...' she growled with irritation as she sipped her coffee, '.... Papa's coming in a week and three days... I should probably prepare something for him.'
She waved down the waiter, though it didn't take much, and paid her bill, as well as left the man a kind tip. the sea of people wading in and out of the cafe, parted instantly when she neared the door, and she easily escaped the area.
'Hell, Am I really that amazing!'

Vashkir had the audacity to approach the queen.
"Your Highness? If you will follow me, please..." he asked her while bowing deep. To Vashkir's credit, he had the black bandanna with the silver dragon emblem on his left arm.
It matched the one on Auren's cloak.

Oriana looked at the emblem and frowned, 'Oh no! If he want's to run, let him!' she thought, but then remembered if he's with them, then he's probably going to tell his story... and she'd want to be there for him.
Nodding, she followed the man to the inn across the street....
(And Auren's turn!)

Desere had the portal open by the time Oriana and Vashkir came into the room. The unnamed soldier bowed deeply, along with Desere who still looked like she woke up fifteen minutes ago.
"Lemme go first. Less havoc... sorta." he said with a heavy sigh and stepping through the portal. The unnamed soldier went next, with Vashkir beckoning her through as he stepped through.
Oriana followed, with Desere in tow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stepping through the portal she stumbled forward a bit, but caught her balance. seeing Auren in front of her she sighed, "Auren...." she said in a low sympathetic tone.

Auren followed her inside and hugged her from behind, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "It wouldn't be nothing if you didn't call for me..." he said softly.
Truth be told, Auren could deal with all of his physical injuries. In time he was going to heal. It was the ones of the heart that he hated the most. They may or may not heal, and Auren had no way of knowing if he was going to be alright or not.

Oriana sighed and placed a hand on his arms, "...I just don't know what i can do for you... You're not going to heal any faster being around me." she glanced over her shoulder at him and sighed, "That's one reason why i think you should have stayed at the base for a while... Another is because Most of those people there had just lost some very important people... some of them even spouses.... I just don't see how it's fair that they have to lose you too..."
She looked down and a tear fell from her eye, "Auren, Most may say I'm cold, that i have something that just didn't click in my mind when it comes to emotions... and i do admit that i don't get happy easily... so the fact that a man such as yourself could bring me this much joy, means that you're a very special person.... They need you now far more than i do..."

Auren wiped her tear away and sighed. "See, I want to go back but can I really? I feel that I failed them and that they'll despise me for surviving when others didn't. Believe me, I do but its just that..."
Auren shook his head. "I know but well... Truth be told, I can barely face them right now. If they want me, its not like I'm that hard to find." he said. He nuzzled her neck sympathetically.

Oriana smiled and brushed her fingers up and through his hair, "Well, When you feel ready you should go visit them....." Thinking of "Them" she remembered that guy her sister was with and asked, "Do you know a man named Kaiser.... And how much do you know about him?"

"Kaiser? Yeah... Master Sargeant last I recalled. He's perhaps one of the most lethal men in the Moonlight Guild. Probably give me a hellish run for my money. He's very honorable and upright." Auren replied, closing his eyes to remember facts.
"I could 'count' as part of his friends. Mostly shoots the wind with his partner-in-crime with Myrr. Why do you ask?" he said.

"My sister had a run in with him... Apparently he was fishing and caught her one day... literally." Oriana chuckled a little and turned to face Auren, "A few days after that she went missing, and now she's at your base... She has a thing for him, y'know... so me being the over protective sister i am... i wanted to get some facts about him." she kissed Auren's cheek and smiled, "I'm going to go have some wine, want some?"

To be fair, Auren needed something far stronger then wine.
