Mizu looked at the Pizza snacks and gave his blonde partner a smarmy grin, he gestured his hands towards the food items and then folded his arm over his chest "Sure Valerie-Chaaaan....dig in!" He said in a sickly voice. Valerie stuck her tongue out and delicately picked up one of the bites and popped it half in her mouth laughing as she chewed.

"Oh dont worry Mizu I will....he gets cranky cause he cant eat like we can...when he's floating around in my innards he gets nutriants from my erm....well from my blood I guess!" Valerie hadnt really thought about it that much and she was confused at the thought of Mizu slurping through her veins like some kind of worm. She shivered and rubbed her shoulders slightly making a grab for the soda. sometimes she wished she understood her powers and Mizu a bit more, it didnt seem like she was going to learn much with the Brotherhood but she wasnt going to beg the nerdy X-chumps for help

"You look confused Val...thinking about the meaning of life or whatever it is teenage girls think about?" Mizu turned to look at the cat-girl again with the smirk still on his face "the mall ey....do you recon they'll let me in there?" Valerie chewed thoughtfully and swallowed "Nah....they dont allow dogs in there....let alone mutant tapeworms!" Mizu bristled slightly then raised a fist "Im not a dog...or a tapeworm....you could sneak me in Vally! he looked to the catgirl and jumped up and down expectantly "Oh no you dont....last time I took you to a public place you tried to drown that kid rememeber...and I somehow got the blame...and dont give her that look!" Valerie shook her head and took a long swig from the can hiccuping slightly afterwards, she wasnt going to risk Mizu out in public...but going out did seem like fun.

It had taken three hours worth of tears, calm reasoning, and various forms of apologies before Kira's parents finally agreed to let her stay at the institute and not rush up to New York, after all they could accidently lead the human's first group right to the school. Since that was the last thing anyone wanted, her parents settled on hearing from her at christmas.

Putting the phone down and Kira stretched with a huge yawn. It was started to get dark out, so she took that as a valid excuse to switch off the lights and crawl into bed. She was so tired she barely got the covers over herself before she was out cold.

{Okay, so I'm going to do a bit of a time-skip to that night, so Plynx can fully introduce X-23. I hope nobody has a problem with that.}

The rest of the day progressed rather uneventfully. Other than the meeting of new students, neither Maxis nor Abe had much else to do. Abe had played a few more rounds of tag with Nightcrawler, eventually ending their game in a draw. Maxis, however, had returned to his semi-catatonic state on the sofa, staring at whatever channel happened to be displayed on the TV. Once nighttime rolled around, both of them retired to their respective rooms.

Of course, while Abe had been able to get out a lot of his energy with his earlier games of tag, Maxis found himself unable to get to sleep. He resisted the urge to get out of bed for an hour or so, before the compulsion became too great, and he decided to just take a quick stroll around the mansion to work off some of his excess energy, or maybe head down to the kitchen to fix himself a cup of tea. He found that tea usually seemed to calm him down.

Kira was having a nightmare, though she didn't scream out or even thrash in her bed, she was throughly chilled and shivering madly. Once her eyes flew open she remained completely still, as though not moving would keep them from seeing her. She couldn't even use her powers because she was so scared.

Trying not to make any sound that would wake Kitty, Kira eventually calmed down enough to sit up and look out the window at the dreary night. For some reason she felt like a mouse running from a cat, which didn't make any sense at all, she was supposed to be safe here.

Deciding that she wouldn't be able to sleep until she calmed down, Kira slipped out of the room as quietly as possible and wondered into the lit hallway, heading directly for the kitchen. She needed something hot to chase this feeling way, and hot chocolate would be a god sent.

Mizu had been patiently listening the whole time whilst his Mistress and her friend had been discussing their 'secret plans' and once they had finally come to some sort of conclusion he slumped down the seat of the sofa to the floor in a little heaped puddle, Valerie gave a double thumbs up and grinned down at her little friend

"Alright then, in two days time we can run riot my little friend, Im sure we can rope a couple of the Bro hoods to help out, with some sort of reward I guess!"

Mizu looked up from his puddled form his two little eyes floating oddly around in the soupy excited mess and stared at Kara then looked over to Valerie eyeing up her watch, Valerie blinked rubbing her own blue orbs and stared at the device on her wrist. "Woah....its late....this is the time when Mizu makes some sexist comment about girls and their mouths not being able to stop once they get going anyway you little critter its time for bed!"

The blonde pointed at the little water baby, Mizu reformed himself and backed up slightly before taking a running leap at Valeries leg diving through the baby blue leg-warmer and dissapeared from sight, Valerie cringed slightly and stood up stretching and yawning.

"Dude, I think its time for a warm cup of hot chocolate and an early night, planning stuff out hurts my brain no wonder we bad guys dont do it often!"

Rogue had spent the rest of the day hanging out with her friends. It hadn't been a very eventful day for a change, which was nice. She'd watched TV that evening, and then gone to her room and gotten ready for bed around 11. She had read a little and then gone to sleep. She was currently out cold and having a lovely dream about borrowing Logan's motorcycle.

X-23 was ready to explore. Unfortunately, she hadn't had time to learn the ins and outs of the school from SHIELD's database, but she had learned quite a bit during her perimeter check. The premises were home to mutants, like herself, and was actually a school like it said, but it was so much more. The place was huge for one, and guarded for another. Aside from the fences, her stealth suit detected a hidden arsenal of defensive weaponry embedded in the lawn. She had watched the main gate long enough to see what seemed like a new arrival approach and gain entry unchallenged, but that was during the day. She didn't want to go up against all the students and their teachers just yet. Not until she knew more about them, and even then she would only engage them if they tried to keep her from her target.

X-23 had found that the most likely entrance to the premises was the garden. With her stealth suit, she could avoid the weapons if she accidentally triggered them, which wasn't likely, and then observe the inhabitants close up from the trees around the grounds. If she could find Weapon X, she might make her move tonight, but in all likelihood, she would merely observe what she could from outside for at least twenty-four hours.

Once the lights in the mansion had been out for nearly an hour, she entered the garden. It was as she'd suspected. Xavier hadn't expected this sort of infiltration. His enemies weren't this subtle, and besides, who would be bold enough to send one person against a mansion-full. No one, that's who. And on top of all of that, there wasn't anyone else in the world like herself and Weapon X, and Weapon X lived here. The thought of finally being this close to him sent a shot of adrenaline through her veins. She suppressed the urge to call him down to her right this instant, and moved in closer towards the mansion.

She slipped into the bushes that surrounded the house itself and moved form window to window trying to get a sense of the layout. She had nearly completed her circuit and was on the far side of the main entryway fro where she'd started, when light suddenly illumined the top of the grand staircase. X-23 ducked into the bushes and watched as a young man came down the stairs and turned into one of the corridors. From what she'd managed to piece together of the layout, told her he was heading for the kitchen. She decided to see if she was correct, and flitted from shadow to shadow around the front and around towards the kitchen.

She was almost all the way around the front of the mansion, when another person, this time female, came down the stairs. X-23 ducked and watched as she too made her way towards the kitchen. Confused as to why so many people who should have been asleep, were not, she decided that the kitchen was apparently the place to find some answers. She slunk past the other windows and rooms until she made it to the kitchen window. She knew she wouldn't be satisfied by just listening in on any conversation that might occur, so she left the bushes and climbed up the back side of a tree that was perfect for eavesdropping on the kitchen. She settled into a branch watching and listening from the shadows.
