"That would be nice. He's not going to kill me, right?" In his experience brothers were very protective of their sisters. He hoped her brother didn't hate him just because he loved his sister.

The thought almost made her laugh out loud. "Yuki? Kill? Anyone?" Her brother was probably the gentlest male on the entire island. "If anything he will love you for showing me what he feels towards sylve." Instantly she blushed and wished the words back. Yuki loved sylve. Deeply. "As a boyfriend-girlfriend thing." Nice save.

"That's good then." He was happy to know her brother was kind and loving. He knew that Mall was deep inside she just never realized it. "Do you like Slyve?" He was curious to know how she felt about her brother's love.

Instantly she tensed, and violently shook her head. "Not at all! She, she took him away and...and..." Who was she fooling? It was Vash. Once more comforted by the fact that they were alone, the female leaned against him. "She's a lot like him. Shy and nice. More assertive them him though. They make a good couple. Its just..." Malloren sighed and closed her eyes, fighting not to cry. "It was just me and yuki. Then she came along and took him away and then it was just...me."

Vash nodded as he listened to her talk. Sometimes you just had to get things off your chest. He petted her head. "You aren't alone anymore." He meant that he was with her, he hoped she got that.

Vash should feel grateful beyond comparison she had chosen to share her feelings with him. Deep inside of her, beneath the meanness and overprotection, was a sad, scared little kitten. All her life she had been called a freak with her brother Yuki. "I know." The female lightly purred, relaxing. Would she ever tell anyone of how deep the pain went? Probably, never. But it was nice to scratch the surface.

He smiled and petted her head more. He was glad she had opened up more than she ever had. He knew that she loved him and was happy to know that. He held her close and thought about getting another doughnut.
