Name: Faline
Temper: Loving
History: Growing up, she lived in a tranquil and caring society. If a member of her herd needed help and comforting, there was no doubt that the herd would be by their side. The members of the herd also trusted everyone one, making them naive in a way. They felt, besides being helpful, trust was the most important thing. But not everyone is so trust worthy and others take their trust to their own advantage. A young bulk entered the herd one day and needed the herd's help. Though they were unfamiliar with the bulk, they took him in anyway oblivious to the pure mischievous look in his eyes and, at times, in the way he acted. He appeared to be secretive as though he was planning something. And that was what he was really about. He was of a rival society, or so to speak, and he was the spy. In the middle of the night, he would wander from the herd to his own and tell the leader of what this herd was all about and how an easy tragic they were. One night, they launched an attack and Faline could do nothing but watch. Her mother told the young doe to run away, far from the herd as she could and run to safety. At first she was hesitant but she listened to her mother's words and headed off. Grief fell upon her as she looked back on the day in which not only was her mother killed, but the entire herd that she once loved.
Faline had found herself in a new herd and was quickly excepted. This new herd not only reminded of her own, but she felt that hadn't left far from home. Though she kept the memories of her family deep inside, she made sure not to show the sadness that she felt. In her new herd, she seemed to caught the eye of the Prince. She feel hard for him although she kept her new found crush a secret and kept it to herself.
Tell us a little about Faline's personality: Faline is a loving, caring, and gentle soul that would do anything for anyone. She is also devoted to the herd. Perhaps that's what she got for growing up in a caring herd. Despite what had happened in the past, Faline does not find it hard to trust the first soquili she meets.
How did she feel about leaving the forest behind, for a new land?: Faline is a bit hesitant. Finally getting used to the new land that she came across after fleeing her original home, she finds the move hard. No matter how hard it may hurt her inside, she wouldn't show it. She wants the other members in the herd to know that she is "fine" and that nothing is bothering her. Because of her devotion to the herd, she feels that perhaps if the Prince thinks that moving is the best thing, that this was the right choice.

Name: Faline Temper: Loyal History: Faline’s history is rich in flavor. Her grandparents were apart of the herd that founded the beautiful and lush homeland. Well-respected individuals, the two couples, two bold stallions and two beautiful mares, of driven travelers gave birth to Faline’s mother and father. In time, the rag tag duo playmates fell in love. Unlike their parents, the two did not value the land that their mother’s and father’s searched for and became one with. Instead, their eyes were focused on the horizon, the unknown land that the sun set upon each and every day. Once adults, their spirits were wild, and no longer could their parents tame the souls of their children. As soon as Faline was a year old, they were gone.
Many say that they left one chilly night to go back to the lands that their parents knew of. Since the stories they had heard as children always played with their dreams, it was the most likely guess of where they had vanished to. Yet no one knows if they survived the trek, or died trying.
Left without a doting mother and protective father, Faline was placed into the care of her mother’s parents, her grandparents. The older couple raised her to love the land she lived on, and to fulfill the duties that she is given. The same was taught to her when she resided with her father’s parents. She lived a simple life, one she would certainly ask to live again. Every day was filled with ups and downs yet it was just the way of life.
Later on, as she became a young teen, Faline met the prince and has stood beside him ever since. Of course her grandparents worried that the young maiden would come to meet a future similar to her mother’s, yet love was never on Faline’s mind.
Instead, the lass only wished to be of some use to the prince. At times she’d be a good friend, other times a servant who would get him whatever he wished for, or even a teacher of the earth that she knew so well. Anything he asked of her, she would do.
So when it came time for their departure, although frightened Faline as always was there by his side.
Tell us a little about Faline's personality: Faline is a soft spoken lass who is usually seen standing upon the side lines. She may hold her head up high, yet never does she wish to take part in confrontation. When among the plants, nature’s children, Faline feels much more at ease. Although she can converse just fine with others (she was raised with high end social skills), Faline much rather remain silent.
The blue-eyed beauty was brought up to be respectful and conscientious of those around her. In conversations she treads lightly over various topics that make her skin crawl. She dislikes the loud and obnoxious youths who dilly-dally all day long. Faline believes that even if you dislike something, you must keep it to yourself so no one is hurt.
Yet even if she does not always enjoy her loud and prideful peers, deep down inside Faline wishes she was much more outgoing. She wishes she had no fear in what others thought of her. But that dream always dies when she wakes up as the quiet youth brought up on her grandparents old ways to be respectful, dutiful, and quiet like the beating of a butterflies’ wings.
How did she feel about leaving the forest behind, for a new land?:
Heart broken: That is the one word to describe it. Torn is the second. After all, this is the motherland, this is the place that her beloved grandparents dreamed of and founded. The darkness of this realm, of how it took away her parents, is a thought she has never looked upon till now. Terrified to leave the place that she understands, Faline brings back the old memories of her lost parents and how she must find them in the outside world. This is one thing that drives her to cross the lands borders. Something she never dreamed of doing before. To say the least it was a rip in her heart.
Against her grandparents wishes, who shall remain with the land till the very end, Faline goes alongside her prince. Not only is she seeking to find her parents, but also to keep the prince safe. Alongside the earth, he is her reason for living. Faline could never live without him, just like how her body could never survive without the earth's bounty. Even if she did not leave with him in the beginning, she’d have followed. For the earth blooms in his steps, at least, that is what her blue eyes see.

Name: Faline Temper:HeadStrong History: Faline was born to a family who had a strong bloodline. Growing up knowing that her family was almost as important as the Prince's, she became quite headstrong. Because of this, it used to get her quite a bit of trouble with her family and the elders of the herd. As her family started to die due to the dying of the lands, she wanted to do something, even rebel against the prince. These plans were quickly shot down by everyone she told them to, for they all loved the prince. She was soon shunned by those around her, afraid of getting in trouble with the prince. And so Faline watched the rest of her family die, becoming the last one of her precious bloodline. She hated the prince for being such a coward, and still hates him now. Tell us a little about Faline's personality: Faline is a very stubborn doe. She doesn't take lightly to cowards, and would rather rebel against cowardly leaders. While she cared deeply for her family, she now cares for no one, after being shunned by those around her. Her stubborn personality will not let go of the grudge she has against them. How did she feel about leaving the forest behind, for a new land?: Faline was glad to be leaving the forest behind. It was filled with death now, and her families spirits lingered there. She missed her family but she could not handle living in the place where her parents had died. Moving on was the best thing for her emotional being, so while deep down she was sad at leaving the home she had grown up in, she was also happy to start anew.

Name: Faline Temper: Questioning History: They loved her. Her parents did. She knew that much. They used to moon over her as a fawn.
Oh, weren’t her spots divine? What a perfect curl to her tail! There had never been such a gorgeous baby!
In general, it became quite boring to Faline, and she was only a few weeks old. Listening to them, day after day. Even if she didn’t know quite what their words meant, she was intelligent enough to recognize the same words over. And over… And over. But as she grew, the doting parent image faded away. They grew more distant, she saw them less. But she loved them all the same. And they still loved her. She could tell. And in their reoccurring absences, she grew and learned. To occupy her time, she listened to the Elders. Their stories, their complaints. She was compliant, nodding at opportune times and offering her agreement even if her own thoughts differed. The Elders were satisfied. But one, Grisalt, called her out on it. After one of the stories, he asked her what she thought. What she thought? No one cared what fawns thought. As long as fawns didn’t throw pebbles and cause “ripples in the pond of life”, they would be valued in the Cerynei herd in adulthood. It was a saying that all Cerynei knew and followed.
No ripples. Ripples were bad. God forbid that you cause ripples in the poor pond.
But Grisalt asked Faline what she thought. Unafraid, she told him. All of it. Everything. The Elders became angry. The fawn not only contradicted what she had previously told them, she expanded on it. In their minds, they believed she thought them fools. Their anger only mounted as Grisalt prompted the young Faline to speak out. One Elder, Hamon, was out right furious. He appealed to the leader about silencing the young fawn, but her father was a well respected stag of the King’s court. Grisalt only continued. Nothing resolute became of the Elder’s fury because one of their own was Faline’s fuel. Many others turned their heads, cast a blind eye. Until Grisalt passed away. Suddenly, her world was turned upside down. Her shield against the angers of the others was gone. She was vunerable, and more despised than she had ever imagined as the Elders slowly turned the herd against her.
But she never stopped questioning.
Eventually, the herd warmed to the little fawn who didn’t hesitate to pursue what she believed in. They became tolerant of her bold unyielding personality. Tolerant. But just barely. And as she grew into adulthood, she didn’t just throw pebbles into the pond.
She threw boulders.
Tell us a little about Faline's personality: She never accepts an answer she is given. She always questions, pursues a subject once it has piqued her interest. Even if she has to tick a few Cerynei off in her pursuit of a conclusion, she will if it brings her closer to her objective. To another’s view, she will not conform. On many occasions, she has butted heads with the herd as a whole to express her own views. She doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind and isn’t afraid of the consequences of her actions. Ever. If she makes a mistake, then its her fault. Ok. She can deal. She only ever has the best interest of the Cerynei at heart. Even if it can be a little misguided at times.
How did she feel about leaving the forest behind, for a new land?: Her unwavering love for the Prince is well known and no secret from the Cerynei herd. But if there was ever once that her loyalty faltered, it was in the aftermath of the decision to leave the forest. How could they leave? Her people are no warriors, true, but the fight for their home is one that they should have never given up. Leaving, fleeing more like, seemed the most cowardly end to a time of despair. She seemed to be one of the few who fought to stay, putting herself at odds with much of the herd in an effort to remain in the forest. They accused her of traitorous means. That she would put them all to death with her misguided beliefs. That she didn’t know what she was talking about. But Faline had lost her mother in the early droughts. She had lost her father only recently in the fires. Of all the Cerynei, she knew the grief that others affiliated with the forest now. She felt it herself, in the very core of her heart. And still she wished to stay. This was her home. This was all their homes. They had grown up here. They had survived here for generations. Perhaps it was time that some of them now died here. But that was life. And it was still their home, no matter what. How could they leave that behind? How could they forget?
