"You could say that in a way. I am a shaman by blood. I can hear the spirits and even see them in a way but its more like I can feel them and visualize some sort of representation of them. As a matter of fact it was the water and Wind spirits that lead me to you not long ago. For taht I am grateful to have this gift." Alex said as he smiled toward Calisto. He couldn't help it. She was beautiful and she shared similar skills to him. It was almost as though destiny threw them together like some kind of cosmic jigsaw puzzle.

“Times have changed greatly. I am glad to have met you then, I see them differently. The spirits are tangible to me. I can actually touch them. I surprised the elemental spirits called out to anyone. I am thankful the water and wind spirit did. The sleep I was in almost became permanent.” She gave a sad smile at the end of her comment as she sat there, her smile however brightened though as she looked at Alex. “I think the two that were approaching are almost here.” Her eyes traced over to the two that approached. Calisto did not feel threatened by them as she seemed to just sit there in perfect calm.

"They're not angels," Ewan said with a smile, "but I sense they're nice enough people. Perhaps we should introduce ourselves to them~!" He seemed to have more of a spring in his step as he approached the new people.
"Pardon us," he said, a friendly grin forming. "I hope we're not interrupting anything."

"N-no not at all!" Alex said snapping his head to attention. He hadn't really thought about it but he was staring into Calisto's eyes as she spoke. His heart was racing as the the two bodies on the other side of the lake were suddenly here. "How do you do?"

Akira followed along behind Ewan. She blushed watching them. She opened her mouth to speak, but stopped. She closed her mouth and instead waved. She admired Ewan for his skill in approaching strangers.

Calisto merely smiled as she looked at the two strangers. She’d lean against Alex as she looked at Ewan and Akira. Her silver eyes had a twinkled look in them. Her smile never left her face however as she decided it best to make her greetings. “Hello.” Her voice would carry gently as she spoke.

Ewan bowed gracefully. "It is nice to meet you," he said with a bright smile. "I am Ewan Bartlett, a travelling healer. My shy friend here is Akira." He thought it was rather cute that Akira was so reserved in comparison to himself.

"My name is Alex. I know in these days of computers and science it might sound a little crazy but I am a shaman. Most people liek to call me a hippie but that's not really me." Alex said amused.

Akira bowed quickly. "It's a pleasure to meet you." she said softly to them, her long black hair falling over her shoulders. Straightening up she giggled softly. "Alex." she said the name, testing how it sounded. "May I ask what a hippie is?" She cocked her head to the side curiously.

“I am Calisto.” Her name seemed to be one of rarity it might have seemed, or really old. Her occupation however, she had yet to remember. It had been nearly a full century since her sleep so she couldn’t remember it. “I’d tell you more about myself, if I could remember details about me…” Her voice had a sad tone to it that seemed she was telling the truth.

"Hmmm...from what I understand hippies are naturalists who believe taking psychotropic drugs to become closer to nature. I however am naturally attuned not just the wild but all the spirits around us. It's in my family's bloodline.

“So a shaman is not much different from the time of my birth?” Calisto asked this more as a question because she was not sure. She remembered shamans being called a form of druids then. Her eyes looked over at Alex, then at Akira and Ewan as she sat there leaning against him.

"A shaman," Ewan repeated. "It's been years since I've met someone in that profession. I was beginning to wonder if any still existed. It is a pleasure to meet you, Alex." As he listened to Calisto's introduction, he couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her. From the way she spoke, the angel surmised that she was at least one-third his age. It appeared Ewan was once again the oldest of a group.

Perhaps you might be right about that soon enough. I don't know how many of us are left in the world. As it is all that I know about my family and their gifts I learned from books on my journey." Alex said suddenly much colder then his cheerful demeanor. He looked deep in thought before he finally smiled again. "Learning about my past is part of who I am anymore."

Calisto listened to the conversation in tones as she raised up her hand. She’d giggle when the wind spirit would tickle her a little. She listened more carefully though to Alex as she looked at him. He had a different sort of past than hers. Her past went past her after she fell into a sleep and she lost so much because of it. She even lost a portion of her memories because of it. “Perhaps we should eat something? I could fish us up some food.”
