Poor Imri. The poor dear is easily confused, easily frightened and easily worried, but he makes friends easily too. He constantly worries about upsetting people and making people mad at him forever and ever, but now that he's a grown up he's trying to do better about that. He was raised by Uncle Jiriki and his family in the Big Tree of what will someday be the Omaticaya Tribe--with some training, Imri hopes to be the best hunter there ever!
Even if he's not terribly socially adept (read: he's the most socially awkward thing to ever ungrace this earth) thing, he does have some spunk, possibly from his 'Daeva father or his Elder mother. Well, he likes to think of it as spunk--it easily could come off as stupidity or naivety, because he'll often put himself in the middle of a fight to try to stop it, because he doesn't like people yelling. He's got some intelligence and good manners, both graces from his mother, and if Imri were to ever get angry (...I'm not sure this is possible, to be honest), I guess you might see some of his 'Daeva tendencies come forward, but this has never happened and he doesn't think it ever will happen. He hates fighting...
Sadly, he doesn't get to see either of his parents much. He was raised for a time with his father and his siblings, but...well, in his tiny kit mind, it seemed like Daddy was always mad at him. He knows now that he probably deserved it most of the time (he had a bad habit of just wandering off, and not getting things the first time around...), but when he was little, he just wanted Daddy to not be mad at him anymore. So when the small family ran into 'Uncle' Jiriki, who was so nice and funny and kind and happy, little Imri decided that he wanted to go with them instead of with Daddy and his siblings.
This was not the brightest idea.
Because Uncle Jiriki had wings and used them, and Imri only had tiny little stubby legs and no idea what to eat. Sure, half the things he ate made him throw up, but he eventually got the hang of this walking thing. He followed Uncle Jiriki's shadow when he saw it, and when he didn't, he would just keep walking forward and trust that he would find his family again somehow.
The scariest thing that ever happened to him? Probably getting picked up and tossed around by that giant bear--he has the scars on his tail to prove it, just like Mama does.
But, eventually, he did find his Uncle Jiriki and his cousins, and the rest of his not-blood-related family--that is, the tribe of Omaticaya. Ecthelion, Cornelia, Neytiri and all the others--he loves them so much, they don't even understand.
