"well" said blayd, his voice returning to normal "i noticed the way you walk and your behavior and that was all i needed to know. i agree, the streets can be dangerous, i've been studying martial arts since i was about eight" he laughed lightly "it's good to know you have a reason for doing what you do. if there's ever any way i can help you just tell me" and then he continued "by the way, do you know the story of epimetheus and pandora?"

Pandora blinked with surprise. She realy like Blayd he was the first person besides Kayley to not judge her. " I can't say that I do. I'd enjoy hearing it if I could maybe get my little sister back? I"m glad you like her but I really don't want her to wake up and freak out because I'm not holding her it's not a pretty sight."

Calli wanted to catch the boy and girl from earlier before they went off. She walked out of the diner and to them. "Hi, thank you for the book I've really enjoyed it," She told the boy. "And thank you for returning my wallet," She told the girl. "My name's Calli.
She noticed that it was a bit odd how they kept running into each other, I wonder if that is just coincidence or not...
"So you both seem very interested in mythology as well. Any particular favorites?"

blayd knew that pandora was right, he had seen what happens when children become attached to people. he handed the child to her sister and then heard what the waitress had said, to which he replied "actually, i was just about to tell pandora the story of pandora and epimetheus, considering her name" then he gestured to an empty chair "why don't you sit down?" he was happy t oshare these stories with people, most people only ever feigned interest in such things as this when he wanted to talk about it, but the people here seemed genuinely interested

Pandora quickly shifted so that if Kayley moved around in her sleep the little girl wouldn't hurt the waitress. She really didn't feel like listening to Kayley wake up and start crying. If she didn't have Kayley to watch over Pandora would have left already.

Calli sat down in one of the empty chairs and smiled at Pandora and her little sister. It would be cool to have siblings. It's kind of boring being an only child.

Pandora smiled at the waitress. " Thank you for giving that food to Kayley. It means a lot to the both of us. I'm afraid she doesn't get much to eat if I can't find anything. I'm sorry I stole your wallet I just can't stand to see Kayley go hungry so I'm usually out trying to find a way to get money to feed her. She's a growing girl she needs her food. She's only 4 after all." She then turned to Blayd and made an exaggerated motion of straining to hear him even though he hadn't started the story yet.

Tony overheard a little of the conversation about the story of Epimetheus and Pandora. Hmm... I wonder if they'd mind me listening. He'd heard the story numerous times but he enjoyed hearing other people tell it. I guess I shouldn't butt in or anything, I don't want to bug anyone. He thought, feeling a little unsure after the girl earlier got annoyed by him.

(i think the son of herc is on) blayd smiled and said "well if memory serves, it all started when the gods decided to punish epimetheus, a titan, whose brother prometheus, the patron of forethought, had given mankind fire. they fashioned a woman out of clay and breathed life into her, then gave her to epimetheus as a wife. as a wedding gift, they gave pandora, (which was the brides name) a box, but told her not to open it, or something terrible would happened. it seemed a strange gift but she gladly accepted it. however, after a long time, curiosity began to overcome her and she had to see what was in it. she opened it and out came all of the evils that now plague mankind, including war, famine, disease, and many others. however, before they could all get out pandora closed the box and dropped it. this is where the story takes two different directions, some poets say that she had closed it just in time to prevent the escape of foresight, but others say that as she dropped it a little voice came from the box saying "please let me out, i'm hope, you will need me" and pandora, figuring that she had nothing to lose, opened it and found that the voice spoke truth. i prefer this version, and i like to think that Athena was responsible for having the wisdom and presence of minbd to give hope to mankind" blayd concluded

"Don't worry, I understand." Calli told Pandora. "If I didn't have the job at the diner I don't know what I'd do for money. I don't have parents, at least I never knew them, that is." She hadn't really told anyone that before cause it made her feel weak but she felt like it was something that Pandora might relate to.

Pandora smiled as he finished the story. " I think I prefer the second one as well because if Man didn't have hope then we would not have been able to survive because without Hope there is very little reason left to live for. I've always thought that Athena ,Hermes, Apollo, and Artemis were the sanest of the Olympian gods." She then smiled as her little sister snuggled closer to her in her sleep and began to suck her thumb.

"I dunno if I could blame Pandora for opening it I mean why give her a box and say 'Don't open this'? To me that's like saying 'Here's a donut but don't eat it.' But then again I guess that was their point to do it but y'gotta admit it that'd be pretty tempting."
Tony noticed that he spoke to them without introducing himself. "Heh, heh. Sorry if I interupted or anything. I'm Antonios but everybody calls me Tony or Ant, whichever if cool with me." He said sheepishly. "But that was a cool story. That's my favorite version too." He smiled, "You've gotta have hope, y'know." smile

blayd smiled at the responses he got from these people and said "yeah, that was the plan, but it didn't work out so well as planned it would appear" he joked "it made a lot of jobs though" he said jokingly

Pandora snickered as she listened to Blayd tell jokes. She glanced over at the clock hanging on the wall and went very pale and quiet very fast. She quickly looked at Blayd she hated to do this but she had no choice. " Blayd can you hold Kayley for me while I get up? I have to get home like now!" Of she didn't get home in the next 5 minutes she was going to be in big trouble with her foster mom. If that happened she'd try and take it out on Kayley because that was the only reason Pandora wouldn't fight her.

Bellatrix, too, had been listening, for Greek Mythology was her favourite subject, if only because knowing it kept her from being killed for her clear sight. And the odd man walked up without introducing himself too-- well, she couldn't resist.
"Well yes," Bella said, walking over to them, "I'd like to see how long the Gods and Titans themselves could stand having a 'do not open' box."
She was at the table now, and, though not yet invited, slipped into the seat that had been just vacated. She smiled at the other three, almost expectantly, waiting for someone to say something.
