Draqx managed to get a glass of water and raised it reconizing the person that nodded and he recalled that that person was involved in the excitement earlyer. Draqx knew that he was not the only one to see the impressive end that happened, and that most would consider it too good a tale not to tell. What would serve everyone best would be if everyone stayed calm and tried to act relatively normal... but if things worked as they usually do then things were going to get very interesting soon, and it provided an oppourtunity.
Draqx doubted that the uproar would die down soon, so the deals he could make would be limited, so it was a good time to move to a fresh area. If he could do that and get an escort for a reasonable exchange then he thought he should jump on the chance... but how to do so, to work his way in and give an offer that would be foolish to refuse, but one Draqx could still afford... a fine line as allways, so Draqx sat back to listen and wait for his chance.

Jade watched the scene which was happening and let out a slight sigh as Aron left. Soon after he could hear Aron up in a room clearly taking out his anger. His eyes turned to Renee and he smiled a bit. "At the moment, I think we should give the both of them a little space. It's obvious that he just wants to keep Alexis safe. Right now is not the time to try and figure out such a man. It's best to just leave things as they are for now. Anyways, I'm going out for a while, I'm going to see if anybody is talking about what defeated that demon."
Jade turned and without saying anything else he headed out the door waving slightly before exiting. Everything seemed calm in the city at the moment but, he wasn't sure how long that would last. Slowly he walked down the street which was still quite busy with people, even after a demon attacking the city. As he walked he thought about all that had happened since he had met Aron and Alexis. Even though Aron was there to protect her, if he hadn't have used his barrier, the demon may have actually injured Alexis. Thinking about that fact made him want to help Alexis out in the long run.
After walking for about twenty minutes he noticed that the streets seemed to have increased amounts of patrols. He had made it to one of the entrances into the city just as it was being closed. Blinking slightly he decided to see why they were doing such a thing. Slowly he walked up to one of the guards. "Excuse me? Why exactly are the gates closed?"
The guard looked toward Jade with a serious look on his face. "They were ordered closed due to that demon who attacked earlier."
"But, the demon and all it's minions were defeated, I was there and helped after all. Unless there is another reason as to why it's been closed." Jade smiled slightly.
"I didn't get all the information about what's going on kid, so please, just stay in the city, I'm sure the situation will be resolved soon."
Jade nodded slightly. "Alright sir, anyways, thank you for keeping the city safe, I can only imagine it's a tough job." He smiled again and turned around and headed back toward the inn. Hopefully things would have calmed down. As he walked though, he overheard some people having a conversation about what the guards were searching for in the city.
"I heard that they are searching for the person responsible for the demon appearing." One person said.
"No, you idiot, they were more worried about the dark magic that was use." Another had said.
The last person in the group nodded slightly. "Dark magic was used to kill that demon, they're searching for the dark magic user who should still be in the city. I overheard that from a guard."
Blinking slightly at what he overheard his eyes went a little wide. They had closed down the city to look for Alexis who used the dark magic. This wasn't good at all, hopefully he could get back to the inn to warn Alexis and Aron. Without thinking it over he quickly broke into a run and started to head back to the inn.

Renee was flabbergasted towards the action Aron pulled off, she held up her hands as he pointed the sword towards her neck,, "You're out of your mind." she laughed and shook her head. "I just can't believe you have the audacity to think I would hurt Alexis." she continued to shake her head. She watched him storm off upstairs and she only doubled over in laughter as she looked at Jade, covering her mouth she said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing, but I can't believe what he just did." she said her goodbyes to Jade as he took off.
She told the inn keeper to that she was sorry for Aron's behavior and that she'd take care of any damage he may cause in the owner's establishment. She slid the man two silver pieces, it was more than enough to take care of any damage that was caused and no doubt will be caused in the future. Renee ordered some food and went to the roof terrace and sat and listened to the buzz of the city, she closed her eyes and sat very still, the city of Dea was alive and buzzing with the story of demons. She saw several foot patrols roam the streets, they were looking for something, on the air she was able to catch a smidge of their conversation, they were searching for a person, she leaned forward to catch the last part. They were searching for a person who used dark magic, 'Oh no. Alexis.' she shoved her chair back and almost fell.
'Aron.' she thought, she had to get him, she bit her lower lip and vaulted her way downstairs, she didn't even use them, she jumped the two flights of stairs, she had grabbed the handrail and vaulted herself down. Landing on the second level she ran down the hall and pounded on the door, "ARON! We've got to go!"

The inn keeper, who had snuck in through a back door did not expect to still find people there. He was given the money, more money, nothing wrong with that and then he quickly went back into the room behind the desk and got under a table to hide. The guards would be there any moment, and a big reward was in his grasp.
((he was part of the plot.))
Aron was in the process of opening the door as Renee started to pound on it. Most of her hits struck Aron's armor and he looked down and grunted a little. "I ain't that reckless lady, I was purposely getting pissed so that I'd have a clear head for this part." Aron pushed past Renee and went for Alexis' room. This allowed Renee to see what Aron had done, the room was nothing that could be used any time soon, everything from broken wood to sword marks were strewn all over the place. Feathers from the bed, pieces of wood from the furniture, everything was either damaged or destroyed.
Unlocking the door and entering the room with Alexis, Aron was quick to wrap the girl up in the blanket she had on her and he lifted her up so that her weight was supported by his back and legs, much similar to a piggyback. This would prevent him from fighting, as both hands were behind him keeping the sleeping or rather unconscious Alexis in place. It would make carrying her far easier at the cost of his ability to fight. He'd rely on his armor and although he didn't want to, he'd have to rely on this woman and that beast loving kid probably. Aron made it through the door only to hear the shouts of soldiers outside.
"We have one of your friends, give us the witch or he shall die!" Aron froze. "Damn that kid!" That changed his plans entirely, looking at Renee Aron growled. He didn't want to do it but he had no choice. "You.. um, Renee, Were in a seriously tight spot here, take Alexis and... find a way to get out.... I'll go and rescue that idiot Jade and distract the guards allowing you to have an opening, wait for my signal!" Aron carefully let Alexis down and set her on the floor. He'd knew he was making a big mistake, but the situation was dire.

As Jade made his way back to the inn, he ran into someone with a loud thump and quickly found several swords pointed in his direction. Gerard grumbled at the annoyance and looked down at what hit him. "Watch where you go peasant!" Gerard waved to his men to lower their weapons for a moment. Jade had run right into the man who wanted to capture him, it was clear by what Gerard wore that this man was a high ranking officer, and by what those soldiers had said this was probably the guy who was searching for them. "You should be more careful, honestly... there are foul things going about right now!"

Jade had tried to avoid running into the man but, he had failed and ran into him basically bouncing off of him. Ending up on the ground with a thud he looked up only to see the blades pointed at him. Jade laughed weakly knowing that he had run into the wrong person. He quickly got to his feet and looked down slightly. "I'm sorry sir, I should have been looking where I was going." He sighed slightly not really sure if this high ranking officer would let him get away easily.
"Sorry once again for running into you, now I had better be on my way, I should go look for someplace safe to wait out these foul things." Jade looked to his side slightly and without saying something tried his best to just act normal and try and walk away from the officer and the guards. "This wasn't really the best outcome, how could I run into somebody like him, how unlucky can I be." Jade thought to himself as he wanted to get back and see if everything was okay.

Draqx got up at all the shouting and walked to the wall and carefully peeked outside. Those outside did not look disposed to take things ether lightly or kindly, this caused Draqx to think that perhaps this might be an chance to start getting into a position to offer his services for a better position to bargan from later. Draqx turned back towards the center of the room and gave a polite cough.
'Ahem, looks like the brute squad outside is not that interested in talking things out, and I doubt that they will show signs of stopping once they start... anything I can do to help?'

((this focuses on Jade and how he gets captured))
Jade was quickly grabbed from behind by one soldier and quickly had a large arm wrapped around him, preventing escape. "Hold on there lad.... your face... soldier, turn him around!" The guard which had grabbed Jade turned the boy to Gerard who moved closer and took a good look at his face. "You seem familiar, I recall an inn keep talking to me about a number of people, in league with the dark magic users..... now I wonder why when I recall that... I picture you..." Gerard although keeping a rather calm tone, it wasn't difficult to tell that he already knew that Jade was one he was looking for. "Mind explaining why I might picture someone like you boy?"

Jade figured he wouldn't get away as he was quickly restrained by one of the soldiers. This didn't seem to be turning out so well but, all he could do was to just remain calm. His eyes looked up toward the man speaking and smiled softly. "I've never seen you before, so how exactly can I seem familiar to you? Dark magic? I thought that kind of stuff was forbidden, I'm just a simple traveller, I've never seen a dark magic user before. As for you picturing somebody like me, I don't know why you'd picture me. Maybe you're just picturing somebody who has similar features. I just came into the city today actually, so perhaps you're mistaken sir."

"I suppose that's true..... but... I like this possibility, why don't you tell me what you think?" Gerard was being cocky as usual, however his style of toying with a person was sometimes a strength and a weakness. He was hoping the boy would confess, then it would make this capture all the more sweet. "I think, that you came into this city, and met this dark mage.... you ended up at an inn where an older man took your faces, then when the demon attacked, he saw what this dark mage did and that you were with them... the fact this dark mage is a woman, makes me feel ever more confident that she has help, you her little lackey!?" Gerard asked as he raised a hand into the air as if to slap Jade but quickly closed it to a fist and hooked it into his gut. "OH dear, my hand seemed to have slipped...." Gerard was going a little out of hand, a few people who were nearby started to mumble about the treatment of children and Gerard glared as he grabbed Jade's collar and lifted him up.
"I am in no mood for games child, there is a dark person here who could kill us all! I know where she is, and that your one of her bewitched followers, I hoped you might confess, but it doesn't seem like that will get me anywhere!" Although Gerard hadn't lifted Jade up enough to lift him off the ground, he was choking him to a degree. "The inn keeper said they are at the inn, we'll use this one to get them to come out.... fools, I would have left as soon as that demon was gone, before the brilliant soldiers of Cheries, nay Dea! Were alerted to ones treachery!" Gerard grinned and let Jade drop and waved for the soldiers to apprehend him which they did grabbing both his arms and forcefully dragging him towards the in.
Outside the inn Gerard cleared his throat. "We have one of your friends, give us the witch or he shall die!" With that said, Gerard signaled his remaining men to surround the building as best they could to prevent escape. "You, bring forth some archers, we'll burn it to the ground if we have too!" He said as he barked orders at his lackeys.

Dispite the danger of not telling him anything, that's exactly what Jade was going to do. He knew that even if he told the truth, it wouldn't really help the situation. "I don't think you have a clue as to what you're talking about." He managed to mumble before he felt the officer's fist hit him right in the stomach. Wincing in pain from the force of the punch he could barely catch his breath. He bit his own lower lip in pain trying to lessen the pain.
Being lifted off the ground didn't really help his breathing situation as he was struggling to breath even. It took quite the effort to do so but, he was managing alright. "How did I get into this mess? They're gonna use me to get to Alexis. Well, hopefully things will work out and this could give them all a chance to escape. I really hope they don't worry about my well being. I need to make the sacrifice for them." He thought to himself as he was dropped onto the ground and then forcefully dragged along the ground. All he could do now was just watch on.

Renee was appalled by the amount of damage Aron had caused to his room, she was thankful that he didn't take it out on her or Jade. She knew he could never harm Alexis until her services with him had ended. When they were at the top of the steps when the guards rushed in, the only person that could have known the information about Alexis was Jade and that damned inn keeper, she'd come back at some point and give her a piece of her mind, she only thought this because somehow she didn't think Jade would give her away even if he were tortured. Aron reluctantly gave Alexis, she would have been willing to defend Aron while he carried Alexis or even go in as her place, she could have easily gotten away from them while Aron took the girl, but this is the plan, and she'd go with it. Renee grabbed the girl, 'This is going to be difficult.' she thought to herself, glancing at Aron she whispered, "I'll be outside the city gates where their search isn't being held. We'll be outside the South gate."
Alexis was draped over her back, Renee clung onto the girl's legs and hunched forward slightly, 'It's not so bad.' she thought to herself as she raced upstairs to the terrace where she was not five minutes ago. Walking to the edge she looked at the gap between the buildings, she could easily jump across but with the new potato sack weight across her back things would be different. She changed the position she was to carry Alexis and that was to cradle her in her arms, that way the wight would be even and she didn't have a chance to fall backwards if they did jump, 'If only she were awake.' she thought to herself.
She took several steps backwards and ran forward and leaped the fifteen foot gap, she nearly made it and stumbled forward but caught herself and stood up straight, she glanced back behind her to the inn's roof top, she hoped Aron and Jade would be okay. She frowned as she looked at the next gap. Renee took her time getting across the rooftops, making sure the foot patrols weren't under her as she jumped.

As Renee made it out with Alexis, Aron drew his sword and charged down the swords and met one soldiers blade with his own. "Out of the way!" He shouted as he quickly pulled himself back and then spun to the right causing the soldier to slide past and into a wall head first, knocking him out. "Clumsy idiots..." Aron didn't wait for the other soldiers who were coming, focusing his magic, which he knew was starting to weaken, he set fire to his sword and charged the door. To Draqx's question, Aron gave but a simple line of words. "What ever helps us get out of this damned situation!"
Bursting outside, Aron swung is blade creating a wall of fire, which caught the arrows which had been launched at him and turned them to ashes. The soldiers backed off, trying to get away from the heat while Gerard, and the two guards holding Jade held their position. Thanks to the fire, Aron had created a wall behind him, across the road to the other side. This kept other soldiers from coming at him, leaving him to rescue Jade without as much difficulty. "Sorry for the fire, but I dislike being overwhelmed, I hate bad odds." Aron said with a hard cough. He was in an offensive stance and had his sword ready.
Gripping the hilt, Aron grinned and then charged forward. Using the slight stunning effect of his flaming sword attack to catch Gerard and his soldiers holding Jade off guard. It worked, to some degree, one guard instinctively let go of Jade and drew his sword and charged to defend Gerard. The other soldier was stunned at this and his grip on Jade wasn't what one could call secure. As Aron and this soldier met, Jade had his chance to escape!
Gerard through it all tried to keep track of what was happening, and when one of his guards charged Aron he yelled in anger. "You fool! You do not let go of the prisoner! You hold him!" Gerard drew his sword and charged Aron, leaving the still stunned guard behind.
Aron was quick to dispatch with the soldier that charged him. He blocked an attack and then slammed the hilt of his sword into the soldiers chest knocking him off his feet and leaving him winded on the ground. Quickly positioning his blade, his sword met Gerard's with a mightly clash of steel on steel. Gerard pulled his sword away and swung upwards, Aron moved his down and blocked and swung his at Gerard who quickly blocked. Both men fought and blocked attacks at several different angles until both came together and deflected the others blow and then came to a stop a few feet between them both their backs facing each other.
Panting Aron laughed a little, this was a good fight, this man was quite a skilled swordsman. "Not bad, haven't fought like that in a while, your good kid."
"Do not call me a child you villian, you shall be put to death for helping such a foul creature! By now my men have already stormed that inn and captured her, you have lost this fight!" Gerard was so sure of himself, while in truth his entire plan had failed. It was ironic to say the least.
Aron knew he would have to end this soon, it wouldn't take long for those soldiers to get back here and block his and Jade's path. He'd use his last bit of magic and make sure that Gerard would be stuck here for a little while.
