Questing Sex Symbol

PostPosted: Sun Jan 25, 2009 6:22 pm

Sarah stiffened as the blade was pointed at her instead. Okay, that's not right... "Um," she swallowed and steadied herself, staring down the shiny metal at the man. "Okay. W-where to?" she asked, trying to calm herself and stop the trembling of her body. The Shade and this man. She would have to be careful of both, she decided.

"Uh-oh. What is he doing here?" Lyra whispered to herself as she retreated deeper into the shadows back to her Dragoon Nanny. The woman they were after with the Tracker was caught by Capricorn. Or at least, that's what she thought his name was. What he was going to do to the woman and why, she didn't know. Lyra was just going to capture her like the rest and the Dragoon that followed her would have taken the captive to the base or whatever it was, for whatever they did. Whatever. She turned the corner safely from sight and hearing, skipping the rest of the way to the waiting Dragoon. As Lyra neared, she shook her head and the Dragoon's shoulders sagged slightly as if in a sigh. The most human reaction to anything she's seen all day. "Disappointed? Hey, let's go play over by the docks..." Lyra took hold of a long finger of his hand and pulled him back the way they came.

"Maybe I could save you some trouble on the front. But you're gonna have to help me." She leaned over the balcony edge and smirked at Mercy. She didn't feel in the mood to smirk, but it was the way she was used to acting. Setting her apparent mood to 'happy and sly,' she continued in a pleasant voice, but could keep a slight edge out of her tone. "See now, the only other people I know of alive in this city besides you lot are GOOD friends of mine, and if that Shade call meant what I think it did, I'm REALLY going to need some help finding which of them got abducted. Mmkay..?"

Trice fluttered her lashes jokingly, as if she were asking a big strong man for help - she did it in that way that invites everyone to share the joke.

Hearing Mercy's call to the newcomer, he sighed and shook his head, many various sarcastic remarks coming into his mind. And he would have said the best of them to her, had it not been for the circumstances that he found himself in. He looked to the girl and shrugged, then shifted his position and aimed for the sheet-rope-whatever, pushing away from the window, hanging on to it for dear life. He relaxed his grip and he slide somewhat down the lifeline, then stopped, and so on and so forth until he dropped into a crouch as he hit the ground. He took out his swords and scanned the area, seeing nothing in the ruins of the streets. He stood straighter, his body still coiled and tensed, waiting to pounce on any unknown thing to move. He watched the windown and waited, then turned to around to face the building behind him. He pressed his back against the wall and waited for Loyd and the randomly-popping-out-of-no-where-girl to get down.

Kiyoshi glanced over his shoulder at the gathering Shades. "Preferably, somewhere we can be alone," he muttered. He sent up a barrier around himself and the woman and jerked her arm in the opposite direction out of the alleyway. "Hurry. You're not injured, so use your legs." He'd originally planned on a rooftop, but didn't much relish the thought of carrying her that far up. Too much hassle for someone he didn't even know was a target.

Gathering her belongings and slinging her backpack onto her back, Kayla raised from her seat. Her shield was already attached to her left arm, ready for use. Her eyes peered up and down the dismay ruins of what once her hometown. I angered her, how everyone was treating the city; but then again, she wasn't treating it much better either. Pulling her arms back and twisting around, she stretched, a little cramped from her uncomfortable sitting spot. Once she regained her posture, she began to head down the road to what she hoped headed to the apartments. Her eyes searched the shadows with paranoia. She could see movement out of the corners of her eyes, although she didn't know if it was her mind getting the best of her or Shades. Noticing that she was walking in the middle of the street, she quickly diverted her course so she was walking along the side, mostly hidden by the shadows cast by the buildings rising up around her.

Her own descent was easy enough; Mercy was glad the rope held Jekyll's weight when he came down, but the real trouble occured when Loyd attempted to slide down -- somehow, the knot gave way and her blue haired companion fell nine feet, landing facedown. Mercy couldn't help but utter a shriek, and she rushed to him and bent down, turning him over onto his back.

She whispered all sorts of swear words as she frantically checked him for a pulse and any injuries. His face suffered a shallow cut, and there didn't seem to be anything broken, but that didn't necessarily mean there was no harm done.

"He's alive," she called out to Jekyll, her eyes still on Loyd. Her breath nearly stopped. "But his eyes aren't opening..."

Great, he was unconscious.

OoC;; Sorry for the GMing, but that takes care of Loyd's absence bloody well, don't it? And Link can wake up whenever he wants. But if you're really annoyed, I'll change it...

Kayla halted suddenly as she heard a shriek from not to far away. Stepping towards the buildings so that her arm brushed the bricks, she hide in the shadows. That wasn't a shriek from a shade or dragoon... She thought to herself. Her eyes beamed with intensity, Human. As quietly and quickly as she could, she began to sneak her way towards the source of the noise, her heart drumming with adrenaline. This must be one of the humans she was sent out to look for. A wicked grin arced her lips as she thought of the reward she might receive for capturing one.

Jekyll sighed, shaking his head in disgrace. "Loyd, you skinny armed b*****d, you just couldn't hold on to the line, could you?" He stomped forwards and poked him in the ribs with his boot, dreading the prospect of having to drag him by his feet. I hope the spiny urchin hits his head on a rock! I'm not a pack mule dammit!
Muttering several curses under his breath, he grabbed Loyd's ankles, looking around himto make sure that no one was scoping them at the moment. "Mercy, when Loyd wakesup, tell him to take more vitamin D......"

(Sorry, but Loyd kinda is skinny....just throwing it out there.... rofl )

"Vitamin D? What does that do again?" Mercy had never been much of a biology person, but she couldn't help but chuckle at Jekyll's annoyed remarks. At least he was taking it more calmly. Though she was glad her skinny blue haired companion was alive, she also felt a sinking feeling in her gut. They'd never abandon him, but Loyd's temporary disability would make it even more difficult to survive the night.

Grimacing dispassionately, she glanced around, spying a supermarket shopping cart wedged in between the dumpster and a wall. It was dirty and rusted, but Loyd would fit, if they crammed him in. Loyd would think it highly undignified, but did they really have a choice? "Jek, I'm gonna wheel that over," she whispered, pointing a steady finger at her target and then making her way to it.

The cart rattled most loudly and undesirably as she yanked it away from the dumpster and pushed it nervously towards Jekyll and Loyd.

"A garbage bin." She blinked at the three odd folk before her. "I can see how that might cover the scent of 'damsel in distress,' "she shrugged, a hint of irony coloring her voice, "But really, why don't one of you stay here to watch your emaciated friend; I'd hate to cause too much trouble finding Sara, really." She waved one hand blandly.
"And if you're dead-set on leaving him in a dumpster, I'd rather just drag him along." Trice sighed, rubbing her temple with her slender fingers. "Because he might be baggage, but he can't be that heavy, and it would be rude to let him come to alone in a dumpster."

Jek sighed and grabbed Loyd by the shoulders. grunting with the effort to pull him up, because while he was thin he was still human, and humans have alot of weight. But not realizing this, and only focusing on dropping Loyd into the cart, he simply went on until the last finger slid over the rim. "I'm really tired of this...." he snarled, roughly nudging his toe against the cart.

(Sorry I took so long.....like, fifty months long....but my computer is a Nazi and wouldn't let me do anything because of some bloody 'error 51' and I had to restore it to Feb 22 to get it to work......)
