Kahlilia smiled at Shannon, and sat down obediently. "Thank you, this looks delicious." She said quietly to Shannon and the cook, who she automatically assumed to be nearby. She felt wierd, eating at someone else's home - she was so used to her own. Hopefully, the feeling would'nt stay.

Emily finished grooming Apollo adn noticed everyone else had already headed off to dinner. She didn't want to leave the Andalusian, but reluctantly patted Apollo on the neck and headed off to dinner. She slipped quietly into the mess hall adn sat at one of the tables near the window. In her mind; she kept praying that it would rain so she could go outside and dance in the rain and laugh like a little girl.

Esmeralda, gazing at aforementioned floor, smiled weakly. "Thank you," she said softly, finding a seat at the bottom end of the table. The table looked too large for three girls and one woman. Were they the only campers?

Well. Shannon started, I do hope the of the campser show up soon. It's rather lonely. She took a bowl of mashpotoes and spooned some onto her plate.

Esmeralda glanced up hopefully. "There are more?" she asked. Then, cursing herself silently for her stupidity, she looked back down at the table. She didn't know how to say sorry for babbling on without making herself sound even stupider.

Kahlilia put food onto her plate without speaking, but listening to the conversation nearby. All she knew is that there would be at least ten campers, but wasn't completly sure about even that. When she saw Emily walking in, she looked up and uttered a quiet "Hello."

Of couse, there are supposed to be twelve of you. Shannon told her as she poured a glass of sweet tea. There where a few other jugs on the table containing water, apple juice, and lemonaid.
Nanina served herself and then took a bite of buiscutes and gravy. They melted in your mouth and she smiled, closed mouthed, happily.

Emily turned and nodded to Kahlila in greeting. She then turned her pale green eyes back to staring out the window. Her plate had been cleared of the bacon and biscuits. She ate alot and yet marveled at how slim her body was. She placed her hand on the table and began drumming to a rythm that only she could hear.
(( we need less cowgirls and more cowboys))

(Grah I feel bad because I contributed to the ratio of girls)
Kahlilia ate without speaking, looking content. She was looking up at the others, wondering where the others were. Maybe they were still arriving. But wow, they were late. She thought about them as she ate, and evantually cleared her plate. "Thank you, dinner was delicious." She said after what seemed to be a hesitation. Her hands were on her lap, although her left unconsioucly drifted to her hair from time to time.

((OOC: Hmm. Well, I have a friend I could probably nudge into joining. She usually plays guys. I'll ask her.))
Esmeralda ate very little and very quickly. Smiling shyly at Shannon, she asked, "So...how is this camp going to work? Exactly. I mean, I didn't get to hear very much about it before my parents told me I was going."

((Sorry I haven't posted!))
Shannon pushed her empty plate away and then scooted her chair back a bit so she could slouch down. Well, you will wake up in the morning and break into two groups. Half of you will feed the animals in the barn, and muck the stalls and then lay down fresh hay. The other half will go with Keith, that's the boy from a neighboring farm, and head out to the pastures to check for any calves and make sure everything is fine out there. The two groups will switch everyday. Shannon explained how the morning was going to be spent, and she waited to begin on the afternoons.
((And with that, I'm going to make a male character.))

Emily listened to Shannon as she explained what was going to happen the next day. Being from the city made this place seemed very relaxing in a way. Plus she was getting tired of all the noise and the same onld stuff she does every year. Emily drank the rest of her water and leaned her head against the window. In a way she felt home-sick since being away from the city made her feel like a outsider here.

((OOC: Cool. Uh, also, all this stuff about the stalls is not total BS. I promise.))
Esmeralda nodded slowly, considering this. "What do you use for bedding?" she asked abruptly. "In the stalls, I mean. Are there mats, or do you just use straw and such?" When she'd found out that she was coming here, she'd done a bit of research. Now she wanted to know how much of it was true, and whether it all really mattered.
