It is almost as if Klahan has two different personalities. One is his warrior side and the other he displays in his every day interactions with other pride members.
Most of the time he’s just a lighthearted lion who likes a good laugh. He is somewhat larger than average Mzawa lion, but he’s really a gentle giant. He can look rather non-threatening. Actually, if his not training or on patrol, he’s usually playing with the cubs. However, when he’s on duty he becomes much more serious. He is determined and devoted to his pride and their beliefs. Sometimes just his sheer size and hard stare can make one think twice before challenging him.
Though no matter what he’s up to, just entertaining the younger members of the pride or patrolling the border, he is always alert and ready to jump into action.

His father was killed shortly before Klahan was born. His mother took it very hard and after the birth didn’t have much life in her but to give him and his siblings names. He was the only one in the litter of three that survived and was surprisingly healthy, given his mother’s state. He was raised by the Tazama and having no father to follow after he chose Shujaa as his role model. He adores him from afar and tries very hard to be like him.
When the attack happened he was just returning from his week-long stay in the wilderness. He jumped into the battle, but could not fight his way trough to the other warriors. Outnumbered by the rogues and heavily injured he had no choice but to run. He wandered on his own waiting for his wounds to heal, wondering whether any of the pride survived. However he was too weak to hunt. Luckily, he met a small group of rogues who helped him get back on his paws. Now, a fully grown male, he finally returns to his birth pride.
