"Thank you Yallinda, I appreciate your help." Ka'da called to her, feeling relieved that he hadn't had to resort to using the dirty water to rinse out his hair.

Ka'da sat in the dirty tub water, feeling it cool around him. It wasn't the best feeling in the world. Sure so he did tend to take cold baths for the most part, but that was after he had been training for hours and his body was sweating profusely. The fight had been a good work out, but it hadn't been anything like the training sessions he usually went through.

Ka'da frowned at the water...the suds were starting to disappear, leaving him without any sort of cover. He hoped that Yallinda wouldn't insist on coming into the sequestered area to help him, he'd rather have to let her see him all exposed. With that thought floating through his head, he placed his hands over his lap and tried to keep from shivering. It was seemed to have gotten colder in the room.

Oh...help nothing. Yallinda's lips curled into quite the naughty grin. Ka'darihn had just given her the perfect excuse to sneak a peek at his unclothed and wet body. Such a opportunity really delighted her. Pity that she did not already know the outcome of todays events. She knew she should not allow herself to become so excited by the male...but..oh he was such a sweet thing! She wanted to nibble him all up!

When the servant knocked with the water, Yallinda had managed to finish tending to her hair. She opened the door, and accepted the pail of hot water herself. "Yes now. This is fine. Shoo." She spoke to the boy, then nudged the door closed with her elbow. Physical labor really wasn't her thing mind you...but for this opportunity she was willing to suffer the inconvinece. It was only one bucket after all...

Yallinda remained wordless until she came around the screen. Keen to keep up the sweet appearance she had been cultivating, Yallinda kept her head down a bit and her eyes mostly on the floor. "All right. Here is the water Rihn dear. Do you want oe to hand you the bucket or should I just pour it over your hair for you?"

Ka'da found himself lost in thought...for some odd reason trying to figure out what to say to his Matron when he finally brought Yallinda home. He kept trying to find the proper way to word things, so that his Matron didn't think he had been scoping Yallinda out at the bar. Because she would undoubtedly be offended about his manners like Yallinda had been when she had found out the truth of why he had led her on at first. He sighed, frustrated.

He was obsessing so much over it all that he didn't hear the door open. Or Yallinda's words to the servant boy. It was only when he happened to look up and catch sight of her standing in front of him, her eyes adverted to the floor. He nearly jumped three feet in the air from surprise, as she spoke to him and offered to help him. Ka'da turned three different shades before he managed to mumble out his response.

"Uh..I..don't think that to be wise. Could you just...leave the bucket nearby for me? I..uh..don't really...seem to be in total control of myself at the moment." The latter bit he mumbled to himself, rather shocked by the affect of her standing in front of him had brought to him.

Yes..she made him jumpy. Not to mention slightly giddy, at her wanting to help him. Most females would never EVER allow themselves to wait on a male. Unless...they actually had feelings for them. That thought brought a sudden clarity to Ka'da. Yallinda actually LIKED him. Oh lord. What was he going to do with her now? If he took her home...she would undoubtedly make herself a nuisance, as well as cling to him every spare moment she had. That..was not the way he wanted his sisters or Matron to see him in. Sure..he cared for her...in a strange unexplainable way, but he could never allow his feelings to get in the way of his job..or his oath to the Matron. If she found out that the two of them had feelings for each other, she would exploit it and manipulate the both of them in ways one would never want to experience.

"After..I'm done..we really need to discuss a few things before we leave here." Ka'da found himself saying in a very serious no nonsense tone.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 3:51 pm

The resulting jump from the tub sent a excited electric sensation down her spine. His response made her want to..just...tear her cloths off and pounce him. Dirty water or no! She wanted to cuddle against that strong masculin body..that seemed so...fragil...delicate almost! Yallinda could not hide the small smile on her lips as she edged closer to the tub. She knelt slightly while setting the bucket down. her red eyes flickering of their own accord into the water itself. peek peek! She wanted to just...ooooh she was feeling utterly naughty! It was a force of will to make her eyes leave the dirty water and peer up at Ka'da's face.

"Not in control of yourself?" She sweetly repeasted, then turned her head away. "Oh Rihn. Your a naughy drow aren't you? Well...I don't mind. I'm rather flattered actually." She needed to get around the other side of the screen...quickly... Moving to step around, she paused only at the strange tone Ka'da addressed her with. Blinking, she turned her gaze back to him. Was he quick enough to detect she was playing with him? He hadn't seened to have noticed thus far. In fact he seemed to honestly believe that this was how she really was. Actually if this act suited him well enough she was willing to adopt it for the long run. Anything to get her wrapped up in those arms...

"Ah...of course?"

Once Yallinda had left him, Ka'da dumped the entire bucket over his head cursing when the hot water hit his head and ran down his body, almost scalding him with the heat. Then he stood up, rung out his hair getting as much water as he could out. He grabbed a nearby towel, dried his body as thoroughly as he could and then pulled his pants back on.
Once this was done, he hurriedly toweled his hair until it was half dry. Then..trying to think of how to deal with Yallinda, he walked back out into the room, his upper body already showing slight signs of being burned from the hot water. Ka'da tried to ignore the pain, and looked around for the rest of his clothing that had been sent out to be cleaned. Unfortunately they were not back yet. Ka'da sighed, in frustration. They really should be leaving, but Ka'da wasn't about to go out into Llurth Dreir half dressed.

"I suppose we can have that discussion while I wait for the rest of my clothes to show up." He said, sitting down on a chair at the end of the bed.

She returned to sitting upon the bed. her knee's crossed and her hands set on it's surface with her healers bag at her side. Inwardly she was reliving the exciting glance she'd gotten of Ka'da's wet muscular body. Mmmm! Ooooh she wanted him so badly! She had just about forgotten her concern over the seriousness of his tone.

When he stepped out from behind the screen, he had her undivided attention. Her red eyes watching him move as he looked about the room. Slip towl slip! She wanted a proper look at what she assumed would be a finely toned butt. When Ka'da sat himself down, she fought to keep her red eyes on his face rather then his muscullar chest.

"Oh yes, lets. You sounded very serious Rihn. What is it you need to let me know?"

Curses! Her abruptness had left him speechless. This never happened to him before! Ka'da fought against the shyness that was starting to come over him at finding himself in a situation he had never thought to have found himself in in a million years.

"Ahem," Ka'da coughed, trying to get up his nerves to say what he had been planning to say. "well..it would be wise when to offer to show off your skills to the Matron after I introduce you. She's easily impressed by efficient and skilled individuals, and would more likely hire you if you are able to impress her in the beginning.
Also..she tends to frown in fraternization between those who serve the House and family members. There was..a situation not very long ago concerning one of my sisters and a cleric which caused the cleric to be tortured quite horribly until her untimely demise and my sister to be whipped for the infraction. There were other measures of discipline that I don't feel wise to repeat, but they were not anything to take lightly. So..if you do have feelings for me or uh..have an interest in me keep this in mind."

The entire story was completely true, though there was one omission that Ka'da kept from her. The sister he had been speaking of had been forced to torture her lover, it had been quite a horrible sight. His sister had tears streaming down her face as she had whipped, and administered all fashions of torture on her lover. Seeing this happen had been another reason for Ka'da to stay away from any sort of romantic encounters for a very long time.

Ka'da felt rather wrong for bringing Yallinda into his House and having to deal with the families' torture victims. That had been one of the reason's why the last healer had left. They had grown disgusted with the work required of them and the amount of gold they were paid for it hadn't been near enough. Ka'da would have told Yallinda the truth, but he couldn't.

His Matron had placed spells on each of her children and house servants to prevent them from speaking of what went on in the House. If one were to try and speak of it, she would know immediately and the offending member or servant would be reduced to a babbling idiot in a manner of minutes. Ka'da knew all too well what happened to drow who were of such a mental status...death. Or worse, being institutionalized and being used as an individual used for experimentation of spells and poisons.

"Maybe you want to rethink working in my House, Yallinda. I could find another House that has need of a healer and you'll still do well for yourself." Ka'da said, hoping that perhaps Yallinda was lusting more after a position with a House than him.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 6:40 pm

Yallinda's smile remained fixed on her face..for..a few minutes at least. As Ka'dairihn explained a bit more about the particularities of his House, well...Yallinda found it turning quite sour. No fraternization? Well then HOW was she supposed to weasle her way into a position of family type status if she couldn't dig her painted fingernails into the pretty black flesh of the male across from her? Well...maybe that was the reason right there?

Yallind kept her legs crossed at her knee's, but leaned back a bit on one hand and popped a finger between her lips so she could worry at the nail. The family member in question had been a female though. And from the sounding of it, the lover had also been female. It was possible the matron disfavored 'those sorts' of couples. But from the sound of it, this rule applied for all members of the house. Perhaps it was because it had been a daughter? Females were higher in standing. And what was Ka'da really? Just a male. Still...

Yallinda liked her pretty skin intact and bathed in lotions and oils rather then sweat and blood. She twisted a bit on the nail and continued to vex over this unexpected problem. She'd worked very hard already to charm her way into Ka'da's good graces. Worked hard to create a suitable persona that he might feel attracted to. It wasn't easy making up these characters! She also felt quite comfortable in this one too. Something gentle and delicate and screaming to have someone strong take care of her. Strong like Ka'da... Her red eyes flickered over that bare chest and she felt that familar ache to reach out and grab him.

The fact he made mention of her interest in him was a bit encouraging. It meant he had taken note of her. In turn he also seemed to be responding. "Oh! This just isn't fair!" She suddenly excalimed. Uncrossing her legs, Yallinda pressed both of her palms to the bed and pushed herself up so she could cross the small space between them and attempt to throw herself on her knees before Ka'da. She leaned forwards, wishing to wrap her arms around that bare midrift so she could press her cheek against the muscles of his belly that she had been admireing so much. She wanted to squeeze him into a limp stretch of man meanand just rub herself all over him!

"If I work for another House I won't be able to see you at -all-. I know how nobles are about their servants. They don't care to share and fraternization with another Houses son is just about the same as yelling out to all that I'm a spy! But if I work for your House I really can't spend any time with you Rihn!?"

To say that Ka'da was uncomfortable with Yallinda so close to him would have been an understatement. He moved back as far as he could from her on the bed, only to fall off the bed with a yelp. He scrambled frantically to his feet, trying to keep the towel wrapped around his waist so not to expose himself to Yallinda.

"Perhaps...we could..keep it a secret then. The Matron doesn't have to know about us. I'm still unsure if she would react the same way, since well..she is rather old fashioned. Perhaps it was just because it was two females in a relationship." He managed to say rather weakly as he got up from the floor and took a seat across the room from her.

Perhaps if he kept his distance from her she would be able to restrain herself from...getting her fingers on him. Though..Ka'da couldn't help but get a very devious picture of just how skilled her fingers could be. This caused Ka'da to blush and get even darker in the face. He really should not be thinking such thoughts, but he couldn't help it. That kiss earlier had been his undoing. He kept wondering what it would feel like to have her wrap her arms around him..he supposed she would be soft, yielding and very eager. VERY EAGER.

Ka'da softly groaned as his body started reacting to his thoughts. This was not the time or place for such things. Dratted woman! She had to know what she was doing to him! She probably did and was very pleased with it.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 17, 2009 2:26 pm

To say that his initial reaction pleased her would not be quite truthful. While Yallinda did not mind pursueing her interest, she disliked it when they made too much of a fuss. She recalled once attempting to manipulate a male that had simply not been interested in her. It turned out he had preferred males. That had been a sour and bitter encounter and she had left him with much sulking involved.

Now she had to decide whether or not Ka'da's reactions were due to a disinterest in her or fear of his matron. She had learned to leave the gay ones alone after all. They were just far too much trouble! Though, his mention of secrecy gave her a spark of hope. Her lips curled upwards as she remained kneeling on the floor. She had decided to give him a bit of breathing room. Watching him fuss with his towle in a attempt to keep it in place was amuseing..but the groan he issued was down right encouraging. Purseing her lips in a wistful expression, she allowed her gaze to linger on what bare flesh she could see.

"Well...secrecy can be fun. Though I do not want to cross your matron...you say she's old fashioned?" Well then! That would be the angle she'd pursue! Placing her hands together she squealed softly to both herself and Ka'da.

"Oh! Now then that's the answer of course! I'll prove to her how useful I am first. Then I'll speak to her in private about a union between us. I'll do it all nice and proper and work hard to get her permission. I'm sure she'd approve then if I went about it all nice and proper and respectful like!" She could practically see them all cuddled together already!

Ka'da was rather relieved when Yallinda seemed to like the idea of keeping their..."involvement" a secret. Unfortunately the feeling was a fleeting one when Yallinda told him of her plans. Ka'da's mouth worked silently as he tried to find the words to argue with her and try and find a way to put her off her plans for their future together. When he finally did get his nerves up, he was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door.

Ka'da reluctantly walked over to the door and opened it without looking, assuming that it was finally the delivery of his clothing. So to find, much to his horror and shock, his guards at the door with dire looks on their faces he almost had a heart attack. He stepped out into the hallway, closing the door slightly behind him to ask in a clipped tone.

"What's going on? Why aren't you waiting downstairs?"
The guards glanced at each other, then one of them replied.
"It's the Matron. She found out about your being attacked and is coming here. We thought it would be best to come up and warn you."

Ka'da cursed, and then sent one of the guards off to find out where his clothes were and to bring them back even if they were still dirty. This day was just getting worse by the moment. After this he slipped back into the room, his face showing off his nervous state to Yallinda.
"If you need to freshen up anymore now's the time to do so. That was my guards at the door, they came to tell me that my Matron is on her way here. Somehow she heard about the attack and is on here way check on me. I suppose..she believes that I was wounded badly. There's going to be hell to pay when she discovers that I wasn't wounded." Ka'da replied, sitting down on the bed, and running his free hand over his face.

"Or you know, this could be the perfect opportunity for you." He said with a conspirative gleam in his eyes.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 18, 2009 3:42 pm

Yallinda remained kneeling on the floor as Ka'da went to answer the door. She was quite curious to know why it was he felt the need to leave the room. Alone as she was, she began to mull over her potential future. It really wasn't like her to jump so eagerly for something so permanant. Once again she had to question herself and her seeming plans. Was this really what she wanted? Was she going to honestly be happy pursueing this route?

Her thought process was interrupted when Ka'da returned..and oh! He did not look happy in the least! She pushed herself to her feet, a worried expression pinching her features. Until it was that Ka'da would explain to her the reason for his concern. For a moment Yallinda mirrored his concern. A old fashioned matron would not like finding her son in a room with a houseless female she was sure. Though...as Ka'da would make mention of this being her chance...she tilted her head a little.

"Oh?" She let her eyes shift over to the bag that she had and she considered for a moment the blood upon the material. Unfolding her legs she walked over to her bag and withdrew the blood flecked material so she could tilt it towards Ka'da questioningly.

"Well I am a priestess. Any real damage we could say I healed from you...it would explain my presence here still and perhaps...and perhaps give her the idea to hire me without us bringing it upi? You said you were on a task from your sisters, which would explain why we were together to begin with right?"

A slow smile spread over Ka'dairihn's face as he looked up into her face.
"Precisely. Plus..my Matron would feel she owes you for the work. She would probably hire you on a trial run at first, and then if she's happy with your work and how you deal with situations she will probably give you a permanent position."

A knock came on the door, and Ka'da got up and checked to see who it was.
The guard on the other side thrust his clothes at him and motioned for him to hurry up, that the Matron was only moments away. Ka'da nodded and closed the door abruptly.

He slipped his pants on underneath the towel and then threw the towel aside and thread his belt through the loops and secured the pants in place. His socks and boots followed as quickly as he could. The moment he reached for his tunic a hard knock came on the door. Ka'da sighed, and then walked back over to the door, his tunic in his hand and opened the door.

Matron D'shadrea stood over eye level to him, ever bit imposing as she looked. Ka'da backed into the room, bowing in deference to her. The Matron glanced around the room, her eyes flashing with suspicion when she caught sight of the healer and her nostrils flared.

"I am relieved to see that you are doing well, first son. Do tell, just who is this...female that you have in the room with you." The words came out rather coldly and without much inflection of any sort.

Ka'da cleared his throat as quietly as he could, going on one knee in front of the Matron and began to speak; each word carefully enunciated and stated.
"The female is a healer, Matron Mother. Her name is Yallinda. I was fortunate enough to locate her for healing abilities after my run in. She is quite skilled. Forgive my hindsight in keeping a chaperon within the confines of the room, I wasn't thinking very clearly."

The Matron waved away his words, and took a step closer to the other female and examined her rather closely like one would examine a jewel for flaws.
"A healer? I'm actually looking for a healer at the moment. Are you sure this isn't some sort of set up in some way? Perhaps you can enlighten me, Yallinda."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 23, 2009 7:53 pm

"Well... this could be quite convienent!" Yallinda cheerfully replied as she reached into her bag and stirred up a few of the herbs a bit. It wouldn't hurt to scent the air a bit more around her after all. She had been thinking that her introduction to the Matron would have been a bit more upfront and honest...but a little dishonest con wouldn't be amiss in the least. This was how she often worked after all!

A knock shortly followed, and Yallinda found herself amusingly not interested in watching Ka'da redress. Her thoughts were less on his form and more on her own. Did she look okay? Her make up was on right? The blood spattered part of her clothing she shifted in her bag to be viewable by a glimpse. By the time Ka'da had gotten half dressed another knock had come, this one with the edge of authority to it. Yallinda took a moment to quickly pat her hair in place, then focused her attention on the female that swept into the room.

The moment Ka'da bowed to the female, Yallinda bowed her head as well. However, she did not raise her head following the bow. Her head remained bowed and her red eyes fixed firmly on the floor as she clutched the strap of her healers bag. She felt a small amount of nervouseness of course. But she attempted to portray even more unease then she felt. Meek. Mousey. Timid. That is what she attempted to appear as. A non-threatening female of no consequence and who knew her place. A proper place for a houseless drow as it were.

The Matrons voice was indeed very cold. Ka'da's commentary about her being old fashioned certainly seemed very accurate. Yallinda continued to stare wordlessly at the floor even as the Matron questioned Ka'da about her presence. She purposefully caught her breath and held itwhen the Matron stepped in close to look at her. Her lips parted finally, after the Matron spoke directly to her. Yallinda slowly released the breath she had been holding, though she kept her eyes down in her attempt to remain demure. "Forgive me Matron for speaking thus." she began in a soft voice. It took no acting to make her voice low, just because she was attempting to wriggle herself into the position she desired did not mean she wasn't honestly afraid of the female before her. She was a Matron for the Goddess sake! Of course she was a bit afraid of her!

"If this were some sort of set up it would be a very poorly planned one. Hastily thrown together at the spur of a moments thought and unlikely to succeed in whatever purpose it was meant to fulfill. I say this only because I only today arrived by caravan. Scant hours ago in fact. I can give you the name of the company I had been in temporary employ of until today if you wish to verify my words Matron." She paused and flicked the small tip of her tongue over her upper lip before she continued.

"The lord Ka'dairhin was targeted and beset by some street roughs. I was present and as his actions spared me of whatever would have followed. I serviced his wounds and healed him properly out of gratitude."

The Matron's left eyebrow shot up as Yallinda spoke meekly, with her eyes still adverted to the floor. Ka'da kept his grin to himself, it seemed all was going well. The Matron was not only surprised but seemed rather pleased by the demure look of Yallinda.

"Your words speak true," Matron D'shadrea began in a softer tone. "I do not doubt them healer. I thank you for attending to the first son of House Ja'lithur. If you wish for recompense for your work it shall be given. If you wish for a position, I will require you to show your skills to me personally."

Ka'da was rather pleased by the Matron's words, though knew inevitably that she would possibly whip him for his neglecting to have a chaperon in the room. Then she would allow Yallinda to heal his wounds to show off her skills as a healer. Ka'da slightly winced at the thought, though at the same time he was curious to just how her healing abilities would affect him. Would she heal him more slowly and carefully than the other healers because she cared for him? Or would she do it quickly in order to show off?

Oh gods. Ka'da wished his skin were thicker..and that the Matron would overlook his oversight.
