He went silent for a moment. "Yea, I'm scared. So what? I have never been in this situation before...it seems like saying I love you isn't enough." He leaned against a nearby tree and sighed. "Sometimes I want to know what she is thinking. Like when she gave me that handkerchief or when I kissed her." He looked at Blank. "I don't even know why I'm telling you these things." He looked around then started to walk in the direction of where he remembered Leilani lived. "Take care of Jezebel for me. Jezebel, be nice." He ordered then looked around.
It took him no time to find Leilani's house. He flew up to the branch he had stood on before but didn't see her through that window so he went to another and another before he just decided to knock on the door. "Leilani...you home? For a knight I'm really irresponsible...for a boyfriend I'm even worse."
Jezebel cocked in eyebrow and listened to Aiden walk away. "Great...what am I gonna do now?"

Well, that worked better than he'd hoped, and he still didn't have to divulge anything. If all he had to do was walk the seeing-impaired woman home, then today was a good day. Irresponsible of Aiden to leave her out here, but young. Foolish. In love. He had an excuse.
"If you need a hand," Blank said, "or an arm, I've got two that I can loan you for a little while. I didn't expect to send him running off after her, just talk some sense into him, so I don't mind."
Thankfully (for Blank, anyway) Leilani didn't know that he'd taken the liberty of talking to Aiden for her, but when she heard someone coming up to her house, she thought that it was him again. Standing, she yanked open the curtains to find herself face to face with...
"Aiden," she said, surprised. "I..." have a strange sense of deja vu. Have we had this conversation before? "I'm home," she said lamely. "Would you like to come in, so you don't have to talk through the windows?"

She grabbed Blank's arm and smiled. "I figured he would do one of three things, go off on you, go running home...or run after her and leave me here with you. Do you think your technique worked?" She asked curiously with a small grin.
Aiden smiled, "Happy to see that." He felt like hugging her but held himself content. "I'm sorry for...not coming by..I just..I have been thinking, dreaming...obsessing about you. I have done things to try to make myself forget about it but it's hard. I thought you would be out with your family for sure today..." He stopped and touched the side of her face. "There is one dream where we were getting married and another where you had me meet this weird lady. and other..." His ears lay back against his head shamefully. There were more, but he felt like some were more private and made him look stupid then others. He leaned forward and kissed her, this time like he meant it. He had skipped over her question about coming into her home.

Blank scanned the woods carefully for the trail that Jezebel and Aiden had taken, making sure to get her back to the right place. To her question, he chuckled.
"Well, he didn't go of on me, and he didn't go running home. He's also not still sulking somewhere, and I can only assume that neither is she." He shrugged. "Works enough for me." Jezebel. This was the same woman who... But that really was getting too much into their business. If Leilani was going to ask Aiden about his womanizing, then she was going to have to do it herself.
Leilani felt as if a tidal wave had washed over her, and left her on unfamiliar territory. Family? Marriage? Where had all of this come from? But before she could bring herself to protest, his lips were on hers, and that was all she thought about for a moment. Her breath caught in her throat as she realized that he was actually kissing her back this time.
"Aiden..." she breathed, pulling back just far enough to look in his eyes. Her own were hurt and confused, but maybe just a little bit relieved and hopeful. Maybe.
"Aiden, you've been gone for longer than we've known each other," she said, voice wavering a little. "That doesn't say much, but I waited. I waited for you to come like you said you would. Like I did before. If you love me, and you mean it, then stay with me. If you don't, or don't want to, then leave and let me move on." Her voice quavered a little. "I don't want you to leave again."

"Why did you do it though?" She leaned against his arm as she walked along slowly. "Sorry if my questions bother you."
He was taken off by her comment but it made him happy. "But..I have..." He forgot about all that. "You waited for me.." He felt bad. Seven days of nothing but sitting here and waiting. He had tried to keep himself busy other then coming here. He thought nothing good would become of coming back here. "I wont leave you, Leilani." There was that sweet tone, that love of her name. He spoke it softly, like he was telling her a secret. "I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting." Should he mention what got him over here? About that guy..now he remembered that he forgot to ask him his name. "It wont happen again."

"Nah, I don't mind," Blank said, in reference to her asking questions. He was pretty laid back--it took a lot more than that to bother him. "I did it because she's unhappy, and because she's been cooped up in that house for a week now. I wouldn't have forced him to go, but I'm glad that he went." He looked down at the woman, not bothering to study her inconspicuously since...well, it didn't seem like she could see him.
"And you? It seems like you were pushing him that way as well."
"You said you'd come back," she said, looking up at him. "Of course I waited." Laying her head down in his chest, she listened to the way he spoke her name, and the sound of his heartbeat under her ear. It was comforting. She swallowed hard.
"I won't leave you, either, you know." I can't say I love you. Not yet. I have to be sure. But I'm still not going anywhere. Not when it feels like this is where I'm supposed to be.

Jezebel went quiet for a moment, studying her answers to his question. "I was. It always seemed like he wasn't thinking clearly when it came to that girl." Valiant told me what to do..and I did it. She thought to herself
Aiden smiled as he would settle here, with her. He wasn't sure what to tell the others but he could hear Annabell now, trying to tell him not to go. "I'm still sorry." He didn't know how many times he would say that before he felt he had gotten his point across. "Leilani, what can I do to make up for those days I have missed with you?"

"Men tend to do that," Blank murmured, a smile creeping up on his face. He wasn't thrilled the way Jezebel called Leilani 'that girl,' but for all he knew, she didn't know the fairy's name. In front of him, the trees were clearing out to make room for...a tent?
"I believe we're here," he said, trying to keep the doubt out of his voice. He'd followed the trail and this was where it ended...
From within the folds of his shirt, Leilani could be heard saying, "It's okay." And it was, now. Now that he was here again. She knew that it was silly, and maybe weak of her to have grown accustomed to the sound of his voice, his presence, in only a couple of days, but she couldn't argue with it. Just say it. Just tell him.
"Just stay with me that many more," she said with a smile. "We'll call it even." Looking out over her shoulder, she wondered if Blank had seen him arrive, and hoped that the angel hadn't said anything. "Did you have any plans for today?"

A multi-colored chandra cam running has fast as possible. "BELL!!!" She yelled and hugged Jezebel with all her might. "You got fruit?"
Jezebel nodded and handed her the basket full of fruit. "Share Annabell. Make sure Mao gets some." She started to walk forward but stopped. "Thank you for escorting me home." She said very softly then kept walking. She was soon met by a small clue fairy and a demon female. The demon female seemed to be upset Aiden wasn't with her, she spoke his name a few times then smiled when Jezebel said, "He went to Leilani's house is all. The kind sir back there walked me back." Her words seemed to calm down the demon. There was no doubt that Val was the leader of this 'family.'
Aiden thought for a moment, "No I don't have any plans." He picked Leilani up and carried her to her couch. "Maybe we can go to the city today and have lunch." He suggested as he nuzzled her nose. "Whats your favorite type of food? I don't really eat anything other then fruit and fish.."

"No problem." Politely, Blank inclined his head towards the patchwork chandra and the demon. Demons... he thought to himself. Always going off the handle.
"Blank," he said, introducing himself. "Nice to meet you." He might not me 'knightly and chivalrous' like Aiden, but he could be polite.
"That would be fun," Leilani said with a smile. "I haven't eaten at any of those restaurants before, so we'll both be trying something new." But for the moment, she was content to sit on the small couch with him, cuddling as she kissed him softly.

Jezebel caught the name and smiled. "I'm Jezebel Maria Roseline." She said it like she had said it so many times before but keeping it lady like. "This is--" She was cut off by the chandra introducing herself.
"Annabell!" She yelled from by the tent.
Val looked back at him and smiled kindly. She didn't look differently at angles. Her first friend here was an angel but she hadn't seen her for a while. "I'm Val."
A small fairy fluttered around, holding a green apple in her hand, "I'm Mao." She said very quickly then went back to Annabell and the fruit.
Jezebel looked around and sighed. "Where is Richard?"
A ghostly figure appeared behind Blank and yelled happily, "I'm Richard! Boy it's a pleasure to meet an angel. I wish they made me an angel when I died. Man, what is it like to fly? It really sucks being a ghost ya know. We can't eat or go half the things mortal can. Maybe it was a mistake trying to jump off that cliff. Maybe we can talk about flight sometime! Have you ever been in a airplane before? They are very beautiful, some are really loud though." He seemed to ramble on from topic to topic before Val gave him a quick glare and he shut up. "Sorry.." He whispered. "Val says I talk a lot but Aiden seems to enjoy the company. You know we all need someone to talk to thats why I enjoy talking. No matter who you meet they will enjoy a conversation. Have you ever talked to a stranger before? Oh wait, of course you have you talked to Jezebel!" Val gave him another, sharper, glare and he backed away from Blank. "Sorry."
Aiden blushed and kissed her back before pulling back. "At least I'm not alone." His eyes couldn't help but to wonder around her home. It was more cozy inside then it was on the outside. "You look tired." Softly he thumb in a slow circle on her cheek.

Though Blank was a little overwhelmed (especially by the ghost, who had scared a couple of years off his life), he tried to greet each of the other chandra along with the pixie.
"No problem," he said to Richard, though he'd long since given up trying to follow the conversation. "If you ever need an escort again, I can usually be found at the small cottage off the main road." He'd thought about pointing, but that wouldn't help much, would it?
"A little," she admitted. "I...well, I haven't been sleeping very well. But I still wouldn't mind going to Cassiopeia if you wanted to; I haven't been in a while."

Jezebel gave him a small smile. "I will be sure to remember that."
Aiden smiled and wrapped her in his arms. "No no no, my love." He kissed the side of her head softly as he felt tired himself. He only slept a few hours out of each night from the last day he had seen her. "Sleep, if only for an hour..sleep." He whispered lovingly.

Wishing them all a good day with a side of a few more nice-to-meet-yous, Blank inclined his head politely and went on his way. Yes, he thought to himself. Today was a good day. Now, hopefully that knucklehead fairy, either one of them, would just kiss and makeup and make everyone elses life easier.
Well, when he put it that way...Leilani thought for a moment about inviting him to grab a quick nap on the bed, where it would be more comfortable, but her face burned at the thought. No, not quite. Instead, she hid her thoughts and her embarrassment by sighing contentedly, burying her face in his shoulder to help block out the light, a rainbow of color through the many-faceted crystals hanging up everywhere.
"Just for a little while," she murmured. "Just...a little..."

Leilani had the most wonderful dream. After all those nights of feeling alone, she'd finally had a dream that Aiden had come to tell her how sorry he was for not coming sooner, had scooped her up in his arms and carried her inside so that she could have her first good sleep in what felt like forever.
As she stirred, she felt arms around her. When she breathed, she caught his unique scent. Almost afraid to open her eyes and shatter the illusion, Leilani cracked them and peered up. Aiden. It hadn't been a dream. She wanted to hug and kiss him again, tell him again there was nothing to be sorry for, and that she just wanted him to stay, but she didn't want to wake him. Instead, she gazed at his sleeping form, his peaceful features. Now that she looked again, it seemed as if he might have needed a little sleep, as well.
Just say it. Just tell him! Her heart clutched a little at the thought, and the fairy couldn't tell why it was so intimidating. Just three little words that would make everything so simple, and yet so complicated.
I love you. Knowing that he'd never see it, she mouthed the words, and smiled as she brushed the hair back from his face. She wouldn't say that she liked him anymore, but neither would she say that. Not yet. She had to be sure.
I love you.
