Daemon_King One of my favorite novels is the House of the Scorpin by Nancy Farmer. Which I own a copy. biggrin . I also enjoy the works of Alan Moore, who wrote the story of The Killing Joke, a Batman comic that reveals some history of the Joker. *SQUEE* heart I read House of the Scorpion a couple years ago. 3nodding
BlindingTwilight: Ah. As I've said before, I like Terry Brooks' Shannara books, but I really do think they are fairly poorly written. However, the plots are very good, and he's improved over time...

Personal favorite? Nah .. I don't think I have one. I just read whatever looks/sounds good. And yes, I do judge a book by its cover, and it .. usually works out. sweatdrop
Anyways, I think a personal favorite would have to be Patrick Carmen and Laurence Yep.

I personally do not have a favorite author, but at the moment the books Dracula and War and Peace is quite good. Though, I'm not even sure my school would even allow me to read those books there. And I also like Homer, Milton, and even Jane Austen, which would most likely be put into my list of favorites.

That would probably be George Orwell. I haven't read it all, but I've read quite a lot of his articles, "1984" and "Animal Farm". I'm reading "Burmese Days" right now. His articles must be some of the most brilliant I've ever read. I like Albert Camus as well. I love it how he manages to create something completely different every time and "The Plague" is probably the best I've read so far.

My favorite books are the Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. I love him as an author too; his other books are amazing! I love the way he writes and really captures a reader's interest. I also must admit that I love Harry Potter, but am not a freaky fangirl. I can't think of anything else right now, but I know it will come to me eventually; I'm constantly reading!

I also like Tolkien, Dan Brown, Paolini (Even though the character of Eragon deserves to be pushed off a cliff. And Eldest annoyed me), David Clement-Davies (The Sight it luff), Tamora Pierce (The Tortall-ish stuff is nice), and I'm reading Terry Brooks' Shannara series right now.

I have to admit, though there've been quite a few books, nothing beats A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks and the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman.
A year ago, I would have said Harry Potter... But books just got better for me so that was out of option.

I'd have to say my favorite author is probably Anne Rice, but Lilith, by George McGregor, is probably my favorite book.
