Do you collect VHD Models and Figurines?
Absolutely! I love VHD so much!
I guess so, depends on the model or figurine. I'm picky.
Would like to, but wouldn't want to pay so much, so no...
I'm not that into Vampire Hunter D.
No, I don't even like VHD. What the hell am I doing here??!

Mine have been great. I haven't had any problems with them falling over or breaking or anything like that. They all sit perfectly next to the D bust on my shelf. So I'd say buy them. They are bigger than what I was expecting and I think they are very nice figures. Plus the box in itself is awesome cause it's got an amano drawing of D on it.

Did you ever get to see that one toy review I posted up? It's Here It's a little funny. Did you take the figures out of the box? Because of what that guy says I think I would be nervous taking Doris out of the box especially. But even though D looks abit odd, I like his face. I think he's sexy, he reminds me a little bit of Stuart Townsend as Lestat.

Good lord o.o I feel like the only person who says these figures are good. I own ALOT of different figures from the little gashapon figures, to bome figures to various busts and pvc figures. I've seen bad figures like my Ghost in the Shell figures which the bust is much to big so they don't stand up and when they do, after so much time one of the legs snaps or they start to bend. These figures have been perfect in my opinion. My Doris didn't break when she came out of the box and neither did my other figures. Heck, my last D figur (The bloodlust figure where D counters Liela) now those were bad figures. They look great, but his hand was too small and I ended up snapping D's sword in half and Leila won't stay up on her bike.
Rightstuf is where I got my figures and I was careful when taking them out as I am with all of my figures. They look great to me. If you like, I'll take some pictures and post them up in the next couple days so you can choose for yourself.

That would be wonderful! I'd love to see your images. ^__^ Also can I ask you, where did you get your little black and white hat? And what is it called?

I think it came out of the reve roullete thing. I know I spelt that wrong. @_@ I'll have to go and check to make sure.

Sorry but my webcam isn't the best. I played with the settings but this was as clear as I could get them.

As you can see, everything is nicely attached. She stands up perfectly straight and there is no sign of her starting to fall over due to the body weight. (A common problem in characters standing on only 1 foot)

Here you can see our villian. He doesn't have as much detail as D, but let's face it, the guys suit was pretty plain so I wouldn't expect there to be alot of detail. He's nicely painted in my opinion and has a nice evil look to him

As you can see, Yes, his blade is curved, but with the flames attached to it, it was most likely done for dramatic effect. Ontop of that, I don't remember D's sword ever being completely straight. He is well painted, and you can see that by all the little paint dots that someone took a while on it.

Nope I was wrong. It came from the Kottan Bell evolving item. ^^

Thanks, yeah I found out with one of the evolving reports in announcements. Now I wish I would have started collecting Kottan Bells. I always passed those up in the Cash Shop. The hat is cute and will go well with black and white Gothic Lolita outfits. 3nodding

As for the three PVC figures, they seem a lot smaller then I was imagining. I may wait before purchasing them. I know I do want to get the Busts for my manga book shelves. ^.^

Yeah I would suggest the busts first. But I actually thought the pvc set was bigger. But then again I am used to the tiny gashapon type of figures so I was expecting them to be a little smaller. I guess it all depends on how you look at it lol. But yes, busts first since they are limited anyway. biggrin

Do you know if anyone put out gashapon style of Vampire Hunter D figurines? I think I may have seen a small package once at a Fanime Con. I wonder?

I'm not sure myself. Though it's entirely possible.

Hmm, I've searched Japanese listings in Japan (online) and I don't remember seeing any. I'll check some shops that import gashapon type figures from Japan to find out. Like the old VHD Volks Kit, which is extremely rare and practically legendary now.

If you can't find it at any local bookstores, ask the bookstore to order a copy for you? However, I found some great prices at Amazon.com...
