"What kind of herbs are they?" the dragon in disguise asked. He paused a moment, then added,"Sorry to hear you got canceled...maybe you can be of use to me?" he suggested.
Yeah, go jump off a cliff maybe, his inner nauseated self wanted to say.

"They're a type of herb that, when mixed together with a few other ingredients in the right way, could make a powerful antidote. Problem is, he says he already got some from a more 'reliable' source. Sure, I've only ever failed two contracts, but I had good reasons for each one. You can't get more reliable than us." Looking at Chrono, he asked "Oh yeah? What do you need? I take on any job, but I prefer jobs where I get to fight with my Pokemon friends. Those are always the most exciting."

"I'm sorry to hear that." he said trying to be sympathetic.
"You could be my bodyguard, but if you need pay, I don't have money. I was only suggesting," Chrono shrugged his shoulders. Here we go......we can mess with his head now....How could he say no to protecting a cute little Rayquazie like me~? How he wanted to bust out laughing at that thought, but he held it in and kept his cool.

"Yeah, it sounds okay. I could be your bodyguard, but in exchange, you can help me with something I've tried to do most of my life. Deal?" Kerelon asked, holding out his hand. Dark Frost and Grand Gaia were too busy training against each to notice this deal going on, so it didn't really bother them that much. But if his other Pokemon were out and by his side right now, they'd probably decide to try and stop it.

"Depends on what you've been trying to do." the man replied, his hands still at his side. His golden pendant shined. "If you've been trying to kill or capture a legendary, I'm not helping."

"Now why would I want to do that?" Kerelon asked in surprise. "I have nothing but the utmost respect for the legendaries, and I've always believed they should be free. Besides, I wouldn't replace my team for the world. No, what I've been trying to do is find out who, and where, my family are. I know I had to have come from somewhere, but I don't know where. You see...I've been alone most of my life."

"That can't be too hard," he grinned, his fangs glistening. He felt if he had to be human, his handsome teeth HAD to stay. "I wish I could remember where I came from,"
It had been thousands of years ago, of course--but could any of the legendaries remember how they were brought into the world? Chrono never thought about that until now. Where...DID I come from...?
"Very well, I'll take your offer. But again, I ain't paying you," he said. Oh Lord why am I so freakin' nice.....Why don't I think crap out--he'll get suspicious eventually! His inner self cussed him out for the jerk he was.

"So we're both essentially in the same boat now" Kerelon laughed slightly as Chrono accepted his offer. "Now any ideas on where we should begin? I really don't have much of an eye for planning. That's normally down to Grand Gaia. And regrettably, I don't exactly have anything to go on either."

(woo!)
"Well uh...I really don't know..."
He could easily take his scent and trace anything related to him if he entered Rayquaza form. But there was no way in the bloody world he'd show his identity to a kid he just met. To anyone, at that!
"Why not have one of your Pokemon take your scent and track it down?"
Mikhail rushed through the empty streets, looking for a place to get some food. Obviously he had no money, and he had been caught stealing food from the bakery quite a few too many times. He saw a skirmish up ahead, skidding to a halt. His Pokemon weren't that strong, and he sure didn't want to get caught up in it. He tried to get away without being seen.

"Ugh, believe me I've tried" Kerelon sighed. "But none of my Pokemon are capable of tracking scents. The only 'tracking' that our team can do is in Dark Frost's talent of sensing abnormalities in the air currents. And even then, we can't use it to find people. We've tried, and it failed miserably. Now I just wish that we could find them..." The faintest sign of a tear could be seen from his eye at this point.
((Oh, and welcome back Crossel))

"H-hey-hey, kid....don't cry,"
If there was one thing Chrono couldn't handle, it was crying kids. Dealing with the younger legendaries was always such a hassle. He hesitantly attempted to pat Kerelon's head, unsure of how to cheer him up, since of course, he was a troublemaker, not a caregiver.

"I'm sorry...I've rarely ever cried in my life...In fact, I don't remember the last time I cried" he admitted, his Weavile comforting him by patting his shoulder. "I'm not sure where we can start...Dark Frost, what's wrong?" he asked as the Weavile suddenly leapt onto the nearby tree branch.
"Weav weav weavile. Weavile weavile. Weavile weavile weav" (Something doesn't feel right. Something dark has been happening. I can sense it in the air) he spoke, his eyes closed in order to focus.

Chrono smirked, of course able to understand Pokemon. Something dark? That's my kind of alley.
"What's going on? Is someone here?" The Rayquaza human asked innocently.
Then it struck him.
I need to be cautious--that Weavile may have noticed my identity.... He had to stay calm, no matter what happened.
