Frowning Starla hated fights. Though she wanted to jump to Arks defense she had to think of Victoria and Len was her alpha so she opted to just speak up a bit. "I think he was saying it in a non serious way Len. I'm just saying" Moving closer to her adopted niece? Well anyway moving closer to Victoria Starla flicked her tail over the pups hoping to lower her nerves.

Len shot a glance to Starla, trying to infer her to remain quiet.
Ark huffed and sighed. "I didn't mean it literally."
Victoria bounded forward and started gnawing on Len's paw. "Be. Nice. To. My. Daddy!" She said, muffled by his fur.
Len just started before chuckling slightly. "Well well. Aren't you fiecty?"
Ark's grinned slowly returned as he stepped forward, took Victoria by the tuft of her neck and pulled her off Len. "No, no young lady. He's your alpha. You gotta show respect."
Victoria looked up at Ark aggravated before dropping Len's paw. "Why? He didn't respect you!" she said, slightly miffed.

"That's because Len is alpha and your daddy is beta. Since your dad is lower in rank he shouldn't speak to someone higher then him in such a way. That doesn't mean he can't he just shouldn't and since he has chosen Len as his alpha he has shown he will always......or most of the time treat him with respect and trust in him. Since Ark didn't do that Len has to show him his mistake so it won't happen again. Make sense Victoria?" Hoping she didn't sound to confusing Starla tried to explain the basic instinct of all older helix. Maybe she could be helpful to this pup.

Victoria just stared at Starla, confused very much so but just nodded and shrugged. Waiting for Ark to let her down so she can go curl up and sleep.
Len stood and wandered to the den entrance and sniffed around the wood and ground. "How long have you lived here Ark?" He asked his friend, curious to see if it would be fitting for Starla and him to join with them. It seemed nice enough, plenty of room.
Ark shrugged, placing Victoria on the ground who ran straight past Len into the den and indeed, curled up for a nap. "Probably four months? Maybe a little less.."

Watching the pup run into the den and what with Len sniffing at it Starla had a feeling they would be staying here awhile if not for the rest of the packs lifetime. Well then that would be fine with her but really they needed more females in this pack! Not to mention more members. It wouldn't do to just have to four of them. Not much of a pack but then she knew nothing about packs so she remained quiet as she laid down.

Len just laid down next to the entrance and folded a paw under his body. "Do you think it would be suitable for this to be our den, if only temporary?" Len asked in a professional tone, looking at the surrounding which provided plenty of shade and food.
Ark thought for a moment then nodded slowly. "Sure.. I guess it would.." he shrugged undecided. "I mean it was fine for me and Victoria but I don't know about you and Starla.. the coldness won't be a problem with our body heat and theres room for nine in there."

Rolling her eyes at the two males and their proffessionalism Starla stood and cleared her throat hoping for their attention. "I like this place. If Victoria is ok with it then so am I. Now if you'd both excuse me I have a den to check out and a neice to look over. Thank you." Walking into the den Starla layed down and looked around the place. It looked nice on the inside as well it seemed........

Len and Ark just looked at each other as Starla entered the den, then busted out in laughter.
"That was.. interesting.." Ark murmured, laying down near his alpha.
Len just shook his head left and right, grinning. Odd girl.

Hearing their laughter Starla huffed in irritation. Really if they wanted to laugh they could have done so quietly! But no they had to make sure she could hear. How terribly rude of them!
