This is why I don't tell my gender to anyone but my friends. If someone said the whole sandwich thing I'd either say:

Shouldn't you be at your job, making me money.
or
Didn't I tell you to do your chores and clean your room? No supper til you do.

Guys suck sometimes. I don't get them.

I was leveling outside of Darnassus a couple of days ago and someone guy approached me. He was blowing kisses and telling me I was hot. I told him I was a guy and he took off.

I find that to be the best offense against weirdos.

*I'm not a guy.

Heh. Most people call my DK a guy. She's a female tauren to boot. So when I'm playing on her no one messes with me.

Luckily I have a good guild with my BF that know I'm a girl, and we're all ages 20+ so there isn't a whole lot of harassment within that group, plus there being other girls (mostly mage dps and healers like my priest :3)

But, outside of that, other random jerks are everywhere.
I find it intolerable some days, I've been in some pugs where people from my server know I'm a gamer girl, and bug me to get on vent to talk. And the comments are less than flattering. I don't use vent. Ever.
In guild raids I just listen in on my BFs to know what we're doing XD
Needless to say, I'm VERY happy about the random dungeon finder now <3

The comments about girls in general on WoW are intolerable at best, and my ignore list on my main and alts are fairly extensive, lol.

I msg a guy in trade spamming for lvl 35 blues, and kindly told him not to spam trade, and look up where the items dropped and possibly get someone to run him through that specific instance.
Instead of a thanks, I get "shut up, dude, I'm asking for trade on trade you f**"
We all know guys are awful with their social graces, and I replied I was just making a suggestion, and that I was a girl, not a dude and to be careful not to insult someone who was trying to help (which I would have offered to run him...not!)

I get that being a BE female too, guys just expect you to be another "mangina" as I affectionatly call them.
It's irritating as a girl gamer, but try to clear this up and you just get called a b***h/whore or a slut.

Luckily I'm with another gamer guy (who met me while I worked at EB Games during the BC release xoxo) and defends my honor whenever he can.
Holy Priest/Ret Pally love <3

I try to stick up for girls getting harassed in trade too, which usually results in the guy majority of the server asking redicoulous things or being rude, sadly, I don't think it will
change.

I mean honestly, out of the millions that play, why are the majority who play so arrogant/biggoted/angry and immature guys?
It still confuses me.
So I try to ignore them, stick with my guild and my man, and enjoy the game my way <3

I've talked on Vent. But as I said most of my guild knows me and know what to expect. That and we have a lot of females in our guild. We did a Kara run about a week or so ago. 3 out of 5 of us on that run were female. Only the Tank and the Healer were male.

Have you ever been harassed verbally because you were a woman? Yes. And even by some of my guild members.

What did you do about it? I request a duel. When they accept (and they alway do), I pwn their asses

Yeah Taurens are pretty intimidating...
When I was on my druid I often traveled by myself except for when my guy friends were on.
No one really want's to flirt with a Tauren, probably because we giant and we could accidentally squash everyone else lol

I have not been harassed because of my gender. I play on a small server where everyone basically knows everyone- it almost self corrects itself when issues come about. If you step out of line the backlash isn't just within a guild, the entire server knows about it. We had a dude who ninja'd a mount drop, no one would run raids with him for about two months. He was running around Dal shouting apologies- it was really rather funny. Women on my server seem to be held in awe. "Oh my gosh a female!" We have had people join our guild just b/c there are chicks. lol

I haven't had any trouble with this but then again I am a GM on a very small private server, so if anyone harassed me because of my gender or another reason I could easily kick them. Most of the people on the server know me from other places anyway so there wouldn't e much of a point. The server is invite only for those we don't know personally and not many people have invited others. Honestly I've had more trouble with other girls getting snippy with me than I have guys there now that I think about it.

Now gender harassment dosen't seem to be very common on my server, but I was actually in that situation and being harassed by some guy once around the time I started playing some years back. Being that I was pretty new and all, I didn't really know what to do about it. It got pretty bad, and since the character wasn't a very high level anyway, I ended up deleting her and starting over from scratch. >.<

I'm not yet an official member to this guild, but I adore this topic. ;]

I don't think gender should effect you in either way upon WoW or anywhere else for that matter. Not just harassment, but white knighting make me angry as well.

I've never been harassed for my gender, but I'm very full of myself, so I most likely wouldn't take it to harsh. YET I have had people white knight me, which makes me irritated, they gradually stop after i start 'acting like one of the guys', as in picking on them in a friendly manner, pointing out the white knighting, ect.

To most of my friends and upon all the vents I'm on 'I'm one of the guys'. It slightly bugs me that I'm being placed in a male category, yet it's better then being then being treated lesser or better because I have lady parts.

I'm on an RP server, so females aren't to uncommon. When I was on normal servers I used to get the 'OMG it's a chick.' comment when I joined vents and such. -.- irritating...

Well, long post is long and repetitive, but I think that sums it up for me.

Edit: Though I am horribly guilty of when bored pvping bringing up the 'No girls on the internet' statement...It's funny. >.> People get intense in those convos. *Very guilty of Trolling. >>*

This is way off topic:

I love that you are using that scarf. I think it is absolutely beautiful, but I hardly ever see anyone wearing it.

Last year, I told a new friend I was female after dueling him just outside of Org. and he /general chat it telling everyone i was female. and people started whispering me stuff like, 'are u hot' or 'whats your number'
From then on, I did not tell anyone else but only the ones I knew I could trust.

This was one of the more recent times I was harassed because I was female...
So I was in a dungeon and everything was going good, one of the players didn't really have the best gear for being a rogue. And one of the guys started harping on her because of it.
So I pulled out my conscience and told him that we all play WoW how we want to and we learn what works and what doesn't for our toons class.
And when I corrected him by telling him that I was female, thats when he started dissing me and the other female in the group. Saying that we sucked at WoW because of our gender.

Needless to say I got kinda flustered and tossed around some choice words that I don't usually say, and he kept on. One of the comments that actually made me laugh was when he said, "Don't be jealous because I was born with a d*ck."

So all I came back with was, "Don't be jealous because we were born with boobs and v*ginas."
He laughed and brushed it all off like it was a joke. Though after he finally left, me and the chick were talking and she said after a moment, "Guess who's not getting laid tonight?"
Thankfully that lightened the mood after we kept on about male douchebaggery on WoW.
Guys can be jerks, especially during the 50's to 60's in dungeons. Everything's about being one of the guys and the highest DPS like it's going to get them a shiny medal of bragging rights.
Another moment I had, which didn't really flare my mood, was when I was in the Plaguelands, there was this human mage that was about a level or two higher than me and he challenged me to a duel.
I mowed that sucker down xD it was kinda funny, I have a feeling it's one thing to be beaten by a Horde. It's another to be beaten by a Horde female lol

I don't usually get harrassed myself, even though I somehow end up coming out as sweet, innocent and naive. I've had creeps asking me out, but no guys messing with me. On the rare occasions people do, I pull out my Pedantic, Smart-Arse Foul-Mouthed Hat and play it fast and loose with the sarcastic insults.
The worst insult I've ever had on WoW is when I was sticking up for this level 12 or something that had dared speak on trade chat, and all the level 80s were having a go at them. I was told to 'Go back to Un'Goro/Silithus and train, u noob'. Level does not equal brains.
