"Thanks, Carlos." Adrian shook his head. "Nah, it just felt weird is all. It doesn't really hurt that badly." The rat has had worse pains, than those that could come from a cat's tongue, like the cuts he got from Horea.

"Oh... good..." he said with relief. "Sometimes I don't think, you know..." Was that ever an understatement. "I won't do it again."
He pulled away from Adrian and took a step back. "So... I probably caught you while you were in the middle of something." Never mind that the rat had not even been dressed yet; that did not always mean anything. "I should probably let you get back to that. I didn't mean to disrupt your day... I just wanted to thank you for the card." He smiled and turned back to where Adrian I had set it down. "I'm sorry I threw it. I'm glad you made it for me." He picked up the card and turned back to Adrian. "And I'm really glad you put your address with it... I've missed you..."

"It's okay, I don't mind it." Adrian gave Carlos a small smile.
"You don't have to go. I wasn't doing anything before you came. I was just sitting around watching tv. Nothing really important or fun." Truthfully, Adrian didn't want Carlos to leave. He had missed him that much. "It was nothing. I did because I wanted to do something for you for your birthday and that's the only thing I could think of at the time."

"Well... if you're sure you're not busy... I wasn't really doing anything today." He crossed back over to Adrian and gave him a hug. "Thank you... I guess I'll have to do something for your birthday too," he grinned, then leaned up to kiss the rat on the lips.

"I'm sure. You can stay as long as you like." Adrian hugged Carlos and kissed the unicat back. "My birthday isn't for awhile and you don't have to do anything for it."

Adrian shook his head. "My birthday is months away, I haven't given it a thought, so I have no idea what I want to do for it, if anything.

"Well I don't know! I hadn't really thought about it..." He hadn't made any plans for today whatsoever. Too bad he still hadn't learned to drive his car... he'd love to take Adrian around in it sometime.

Adrian sat down in the chair he was sitting in earlier and looked up at Carlos. "Then I guess we are stuck here until we figure out something to do."

Carlos watched the rat sit down in his chair. It looked comfortable enough... The unicat followed him over and sat with his chin on the arm rest this time, staring up at Adrian without blinking. "I could just stare at you the whole time." He was joking of course, but managed to keep a straight face while saying it.

Adrian pulled Carlos up and on to his lap. "Don't do that, it gets creepy after awhile." The rat doesn't like people looking at him.

His eyes widened briefly when Adrian grabbed him, then relaxed and snuggled up against him, leaning his ear against the rat's chest. He chuckled, "All right. I'm sorry."

Adrian ran his fingers through Carlos' hair, petting the unicat. "Don't be, it's not like you knew I didn't like being stared at."
