Entry: 058 Subject: Immobilizer 418 Interdictor Cruiser Status: Canon Capsule:Immobilizer 418 CruiserBuilt on the hull of the Vindicator-class Heavy Cruiser, the Immobilizer 418 is the one thing Rebel pilots fear most. The ship itself is only lightly armed and armored, for a ship it's size. Only 600m long, it's three times smaller than an Imperial Star Destroyer. The armor is half as thick, and the armamant consists of 20 quad laser cannons. What made the Immobilizers lethal, though, was the four gravity well projectors on its topside. Combined, these huge generators, when turned on, could mimic the presence of a planetary-size body of gravity. This had two unique effects. First, the Interdiction Field created by the ship prevented hyperspace travel from occuring, essentially trapping any and all ships until it was turned off (not good for the Rebels and their hit and fade tactics). Secondly, when on, the Interdictor could pull ships out of hyperspace, right into a trap. As dangerous as this is, there are signifigant drawbacks. The Interdiction systems take a long time to charge up, meaning any Rebel pilots have time to escape. Also, the globes took an exorbiant amount of power, and while functioning, severly weakened the ship's ability to defend itself. Because of this, they were almost always escorted by other ships, mainly Vindicator, Acclamantor, Venator, and Imperial-class cruisers and destroyers. Thus, they usually took a back-seat role.

Entry: 059 Subject: R-22 Spearhead Status: Canon Capsule: Much like the Z-95 and the T-65 X-Wing, the R-22 Spearhead was the direct ancestor of the A-Wing. First developped before the Battle of Yavin. The differences in the two ships are small but noticable. The R-22 uses an older model engine then the 'Event Horrizons' on the RZ-1 A-Wing. Because of this, the R-22 was not quite as fast or as maneuvarable. Also, while not specified, the R-22 does have a slightly different armament. Unlike the RZ-1, the R-22 is armed with a weaker class of laser cannon, along with a lack of missile tubes. However, she still fufils the role of Interceptor, and includes a Class 2 hyperdrive.

Entry: 060 Subject: CEC CR90 Corvette Status: Canon Capsule: More commonly known as the "Corellian Corvette," the CR90 is an upgraded version of the venerable CR70 Corvette. Designed by CEC, the CR90 was hailed as the most popular and well-armed corvette-class vessel in the known galaxy, thanks to the ease of modularity. Like all CEC vessels, the CR90 is easily retrofitted with a variety of aftermarket upgrades, making her applications near limitless. Standard, the CR90 came with a Class 2 hyperdrive and a thrust that propelled it at 60 MGLTs, allowing it to outrun Imperial Star Destroyers. While lightly armored, it was fairly heavily armed: 4 dual turbolasers, and 8 turbolasers. In its docking bays, the ship could carry a few starfighters, or a single shuttle. It's crew ranged from 30-165 and it could carry up to 600 troops, though it was possible for a single man to pilot the ship. It could also carry up to 3,000 tons of cargo and 1 year of consumables. Despite it's versatility, there is one glaring weakness. Because of the placement of the weapons and engines, there's an exploitable blindspot to the back of the ship, especially right behind the engines. Because of this, and the thin armor between the engines and the rest of the ship, it's possible a well placed turbolaser from a much larger ship could actually snap a CR90 in half. That hasn't stopped their usage, however. Though it was used in the Repubblic and Imperial navies, it saw the most fame in the service of the Rebellion, where it became a front line ship.

Entry: 061 Subject: EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Status: Canon Capsule: If the Y-wing is the work horse of Rebel fighters, the Nebulon-B is its counterpart amongst Republic starships. Though used on both sides of the the Galactic Civil War, it was in the hands of Alliance crews that it gained its fame and recognition. The EF76 was introduced some months after the Clone Wars, as an effort by Kuat-Drive yards to replace the older Class-C frigate, and fulfill the newly christened Empire's needs for a a mid-size, versatile, escort craft. Requiring a minimum personnel of at least 307 crew, gunners and technical staff, but can accommodate a full compliment of 985 for maximum capacity, including 75 troops for assault, landing, or boarding actions. Armed with 12 turbolaser batteries, 12 blaster cannons and a pair of tractor beams, the Nebulon-B is the go to vessel against fighter and bomber craft and smaller vessels, against whom it engines (Including a class 2 hyperdrive) gave it considerable edge in combat. Though strong and tough enough to handle whole squadrons of strike craft and most other smaller vessels, the Nebulon-B unfortunately lacks the punch of most capital vessels. This means that its primary role was as an anti-fighter vessel, whether in escort to Imperial and Rebel convoys, or backing up larger vessels such as Star Destroyers and Mon Cal cruisers. In the hands of the Imperials the Nebulon-B made a daunting escort vessel, forcing Rebel forces to think twice before committing invaluable and irreplaceable fighters and pilots against them for convoy raids. In the hands of the Rebel's however, the Nebulon-B really came into its own. Whether obtained through donation, defection, capture or outright theft, the Rebellion got its hands on more than a few of these vessels, where they served a variety of roles, given the proper modifications and upgrades from what Rebel engineers could put together. Whether being utilized as long-range scouts, search and rescue ships, or command vessels for the all too often underhanded and under powered rebel task forces, the Nebulon-B earned every credit (Often Imperial credits) of its construction.

Entry: 062 Subject: Vindicator-class Heavy Cruiser Status: Canon Capsule:
Technically a star frigate, the Vindicator-class is built on the same hull as the Immobilizer 418.
Bearing the renown triangular design of other Star Destroyers, the Vindicator-class was the strongest ship the Empire was willing to field, whenever a Victory or Imperial-class Destroyer wasn't available or needed.
The ship was heavily armed: 25 light turbolasers, 20 light quad turbolasers, 10 point-defense laser cannons, 20 light point-defense ion cannons, and 3 tractor beams.
Defensively, the ship was only 600m long, and lightly armored. With a Class 2 Hyperdrive, she was not a ship that was terribly imposing, but often more then most planets could defend against.
Crew was 2,551, with a garrison of 400 troops. Most ships carried only two squadrons of TIE fighters.

Entry: 063 Subject: Victory-class Star Destroyer Status: Canon Capsule: Produced by Rendili Stardrives and Kuat Drive Yards, the Victory-class was the first true Star Destroyer to see action during the Clone Wars. Originally made as competition to the Venator-class, the Victory earned its role as an excellent vessel. Standard, the ship was prodigously armed: 10 Quad Turbolasers, 40 Double Turbolasers, 80 Concussion Missle Tubes, and 10 Tractor Beam projectors. Armor and shields, she was the strongest ship in mass production until the advent of the Imperial-class. Crew was around 5,200, though she could be run by as few as 1,800. She carried two squadrons of tie fighters and 4 Lambda shuttles, along with enough cargo barges to carry 10 At-Ats, 15 AT-STs, and 2,040 soldiers. Consumables oculd last for four years, and she carried 8,000 tons of cargo. The only downside was in her engine power. Despite being armed with a Class 1 Hyperdrive, making her faster in that respect to even the Imperial-class, her Ion Engines imply didn't produce enough sublight power to allow her to chase newer ships. This flaw was corrected in the Victory II-class, an update that had hangar room only for a single Lambda shuttle, better engines, and more weaponry, making it a dedicated ship-to-ship combatant. At 900 meters, she was the largest ship capable of atmospheric travel. Yet, she was eventually phased out as the Imperial-class became more prevalant. Today, she spends her time scouring the Outer Rims in areas where the larger vessels aren't needed.

Entry: 064 Subject: Imperial Army Part 1 Status: Canon Capsule:
Behold the might that is the Imperial Army. The largest military force ever created in the galaxy, trillions strong at its height, this was the largest army in galactic history.
The roots of the army can directly be traced to the Grand Army of the Republic. Following Order 66 and the rise to power of Emperor Palpatine, the GAotR became the new Imperial Army, with its original members being the clones of Jango Fett.
Despite the efficiency of these clones, however, they were eventually phased out, since, due to Jango Fett's premature death and a loss of his original tissue, clones of him could no longer be created, and gradually, cloning was abandoned all together in favor of recruitment.
The Imperial Army is subdivided into numerous smaller parts, which shall now be explained.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The smallest unit is the Squad. Led by a Sargeant, with a Corporal as a second-in-command, these nine men serve as the basic building unit for the rest of the Army. These Squads can each have varying purposes. For instance, a Line Squad is your typical infantry squad armed with blasters and combat shielding. Heavy Weapons Squads use heavy repeating blasters. Sharpshooter Squads are selected for their accuracy, and are armed with additional training and demolitions. Engineering Squads were various technicians with combat skills and a demolitions expert. Scout Squads were 5-man teams with speeder bikes. Armor Squads included either a hovertank, or two smaller vehicles.
- Line Squad- Standard infantry squad, three-five of its members being armed with light repeating blasters.
- Heavy Weapon Squad- Same as a line squad, but armed with hevay repeating blasters.
- Sharpshooter Squad-Infantry with above-average accuracy, and enhanced tactics. Armered with light repeating blasters.
- Engineering Squad- A line infantry squad equipped with additional technical and field skills, as well as a single demolitions expert.
- Repulsorlift Squad- Contains two hovertrucks, each with a gunner/commander, sensor tech, driver, and mechanic.
- Heavy Repulsorlift Squad- The same as the lighter variant, but with sturdied vehicles, such as an IFC.
- Scout Squad- A five-man team operating with speeder bikes, they were also trained to repair their bikes, negating the need for more men. They also received additional trainining, making them the elite units of the standard army.
- Armor/Artilley Squad- Two kinds: light and heavy. Light squads maintained two veicles, usually hovertrucks. Heavy Squads contained a single tank or walker.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Platoons were the combined strength of four squads -38 men- led by a Lieutenant with a Sargeant major as deputy. Platoons had similar categories as Squads, but naturally had more men. For instance, a Platoon was made up of four various Squads. An example of a configuration could be two Line Squads, one Scout Squad, and one Armor Squad. In addition to this, a single Platoon could fall under one category. For instance, an Armor Platoon featured a command tank and 4-8 other vehicles. Typically, a Platoon was the minimal amount of forces regulated to protect a planet with NO Rebel presence, such as Dantooine.
- Light Infantry Platoon- Divided into two categories: Line and Assault. Line Platoons lacked repeating blasters and heavy weapons.
- Artillery Platoon- 38 men and 4-8 vehicles, usually SPMA-T and other artilley vehicles.
- Repulsorlift Platoon- 56 men and 11 vehicles. Of these vehicles, 1 served as a mobile command center, with two more as repair vehicles. The rest were repulsor trucks.
- Heavy Weapon Platoon- A repulsorlift squad with more weapons on their vehicles.
- Armor Platoons- 42 men and 7-11 vehicles. Of these vehicles, 1 was a command tank, and two others were heavy transports to carry supplies, troops, and spare parts. The rest were a mix of repulsor tanks or walkers. The command tank had a reflective shield and laser cannons. Usual vehicles seen here were 2-M Repulsor Tanks, AT-PTs and AT-STs.
- Special Mission Platoon- A team of thirty eight men, divided into four squads: two sharpshooter, 1 engineer, and 1 heavy weapons. This arrangment allowed for more flexibility
- Scout Platoon- Led by a lieutenant, leading a group of 29 soldiers and 10 speeder bikes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Companies were the usual detachment relegated to defense on backwater, Imperial-held worlds. Companies were the combined might of four platoons of varying configuration. These companies were led by an officer staff, consisting of a captain ond four lieutenants for staff officers. On top of these five, there were an additional 23 other logistics members, plus a cadre of droids. Like the smaller units, Companies could have special designations. A Breakthrough Company, for instance, consisted of four armor platoons, consisting of 27-35 vehicles.
- Line Company- Consists of four line platoons for a total of 152 soldiers and 28 staff.
- Artilley Company- These featured only 23 support personnel and 70 droids, because of their position. Each company was four artillery platoons, for a total of 16 heavy artillery or 32 light artilley. Troop total was 152.
- Attack Armor Company- Consists of three armor platoons and a heavy weapon platoon. Troop compliment varied from 200-232, with 16-28 tanks and 9 repulsor tanks. The captain commanded from a modified heavy repulsor tank.
- Breakthrough Armor Company- Designed for overwhelming force, these consisted of four armor platoons, or 21-37 tanks with one heavy repulsor tank. Unlike other armored divisions, the support element stayed behind with command, often leaving the company with little support.
- Repulsorlift Company- Consisting of two line platoons and two repulsor platoons. 182 troops, 32 support personnel, 22 combat vehicles, 8 transport vehicles, and 1 command vehicle.
- Special Mission Company- Three special mission platoons and a scout platoon, for a total of 28 support and command crew and 136 troops. Usually, the command element stayed behind with the deployment vessel, operating as the eyes and ears for the surface teams.
- Scout Company- 116 troops and 40 bikes, divided between four scout platoons. There was also a single command vehicle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Battalions were commanded by a Major, usually representing the combined force of two companies. The Major had a command staff of 97 personnel and 145 droids. They were divided into: command staff of five Captains as officers, the Major, 16 logistics personnel, 8 medics, 22 support, and a 38-man security platoon. Everything else was combat element. Battalions were also the smallest detachments capable of being deployed into hostile territory.
- Line Battalion- 810 men in all, 608 of which were troopers, divided into three line companies and one heavy weapon company. Standard infantry detahment.
- Assault Battalion- 662 troopers, 206 support personnel, and 31 repulsor lift vehilces, divided between one line company, two heavy weapon companies, one repulsor, and one assault company. Assault Battalions performed in urban warfare, and received priority in calling for support from capital ships.
- Repulsorlift Battalion- Three repulsorlift companies, one scout company, and the command element. Command functioned in a mobile base, usuually a command tank. 680 troopers, 272 support personnel, 115 repulsor tanks (8 of which assigned to the command element), and 40 speederbikes.
- Artillery Battalion- Three artillery companies and a heavy weapon company, consisting of 608 troopers, 202 support personnel, and 48-96 artillery vehicles and transports.
- Armor Battalion- Consists of one breakthrough armor company, two attack armor companies, and one repulsorlift company. The command element featured 24 Heavy Transport Vehicles and a Command Tank.
- Special Missions Battalion- The largest Special Missions detachment. The entire battalion was trianed and expecting to fight, acting as the elite arm of the armed forces when Stormtroopers where unavailable. 544 troops, 202 support personnel, and 88 speeder bikes.

Entry: 065 Subject: Chariot LAVr QH-7 Command Vehicle Status: Canon Capsule: The standard command vehicle for Imperial Ground forces, the Chariot Light Assault Vehicle was meant to serve as a forward and mobile command center, equally capable of evacuating command staff from hot zones. Though not as heavily armed or armored as an AT-AT or the Imperial Command Tank, the Chariot LAV had held a significant advantage in speed, mobility and communications capabilities. Though heavily armored for a speeder of its size, the Chariot was equipped with only a single laser cannon for defense. The real beauty of the Chariot LAV's design was the vast array of tactical computers and holoscreens it possessed. The commander in charge could coordinate up to a dozen combat units, while simultaneously transmitting to the central command. Standard crew consisted of a commander, a driver, a gunner, and at least four communication droids and other aides. Most of the speeder's rear contained electronic counter-measures, which provided some protection against EM bursts and other disruptive tactics. Its communications array was equipped with signal-scramblers, which made any outgoing messages nearly impossible to decipher.

Entry: 066 Subject: Imperial Army Part 2 Status: Canon Capsule:
Editor's note: Ya, this entry is so big, it needed two posts xD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Regiments consisted of 2,500 troops and 1,000 support staff commanded by a lieutenant colonel. The structure and staff cmplement were consistent with a battalions, except that it contained more droids (at least 200), along with a nanotech lab in order to construct any needed spare parts. The command element usually commanded from orbit, either in a capital ship or space station, unless the campaign extended beyond a month, in which a base would be established planet-side.
- Line Regiment- Consists of two line battalions, one assault battalion, and one repulsor battalion. 2,558 troops, 972 support personnel, and 130 repulsor vehicles. This was the typical garrison on the average Imperial-held world.
- Assault Regiment- Assault Battalions were designed strictly for attacking known Rebel targets, and as such only served during the invasion phase, after which they were replaced by Line Regiments. They consisted of two assault, one line, and one heavy armor battalion, divided between 2,545 troops, 1,001 support personnel, 121 repulsorlift vehicles, and 53 heavy tanks.
- Repulsorlift Regiment- These regiments saw action on planets with light and scattered rebel elements. 2,600-2,700 troops, around 1,300 support personnel, 53-93 repulsorlift tanks, 400 repulsorlift vehicles, and 120 speeder bikes.
- Artillery Regiment- 2,400 troops, 1,100 support personnel, 144-288 artillery units, 53 tanks, and 199 repulsorlift vehicles, divided between three artillery battalions and one assault battalion. Occasionally, they also had scout battalions.
- Vanguard Armor Regiment- Three armor battalions and one repulsorlift battalion. 2,483 troopers, 1,559 support personnel, 262 repulsor vehicles, and about 60 tanks.
- Light Armor Regiment- Two heavy armor and two repulsorlift battalions. 2,562 troops, 1,432 support personnel, 304 repulsorlift vehicles, and 106 heavy tanks.
- COMPNOR Regiment- A special regiment of Imperial loyalist forces. They lacked a security detail, but most of their forces were zealous in their devotion to the empire. They were assigned to politically unrest, but not hostile, worlds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Battlegroups were commanded by High Colonels, with a staff of 5 Majors and a sub-staff of Captains. The command element alone accounted for 188 of the support personel, with two security platoons. Battlegroups were assigned to planets with medium to high resistance, such as the Rebel base on Yavin IV.
- Line Battlegroup- Three line regiments and one assault regiment, consisting of 10,219 troopers, 4,191 support personnel, 511 repulsorlift vehicles, and 53 heavy tanks.
- Reinforced Battlegroup- Simply, a line battlegroup with more vehicles. 10,210 troops, 4,680 support personnel, 676 repulsorlift vehicles, and 212 heavy tanks.
- Armored Battlegroup- 10,090 troops, 6,256 support personnel, 1,132repulsorlift vehicles, and 318 tanks. These battlegroups were used for mobile, heavy hitting charges on multiple, entrenched positions.
- Assault Battlegroup- Assault Battlegroups were the same as Line Battlegroups, save for an Armored Regiment replacing one of the Line Regiments.
- Mobile Battlegroup- As it's name suggests, a Mobile BG relied on its mobility and fast response times to counter-act Rebellion footholds. They consisted of three repulsorlift regiments and one line regiment: 10,248 troops, 5,858 support personnel, 1,342 repulsorlift vehicles, and 265 heavy tanks.
- Auxillary Battlegroup- Derrived from three COMPNOR Regiments and a Ground Support Wing, these Battlegroups acted as the reserve support and aerial support for other battlegroups. 7,674 troops, 2,456 support personnel, 390 repulsorlift vehicles, and 40 TIEs.
- Ground Support Wing- Technically more of a regiment, the GSW acted in conjuction with the Auxillary Battlegroup to provide aerial support to army detachmanets. As such, TIEs in this group operated with the Imperial Navy, instead of the Imperial Navy. As such, each Wing was divided between 40 fighters: 3 squadrons of TIE/In, and 1 squadron of TIE Bombers, divided into three flights each. Each wing had it's own pre-fab base to house the TIEs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Corps were commanded by Major Generals. Staff comprised of five officers, with each officer having his own sub-staff of two officers each. For security, the corps was provided with a 152 primary security team, six security platoons of 38 men each, as well as 3 regiments of COMPNOR operatives. The Corps also came with an industrial package of +2000 droids with a nanotech lab capable of creating 90% of logistics. The remaining command crew numbered 388 personnel, with 1 Imperial Intelligence operative and 50 Imperial Senate Bureau agents. The rest was relegated to the support element and combat element.
- Line Corps- 3 Line Battlegroups and 1 Assault Battlefroup. 48,451 troopers, 20,658 support personnel, 2,599 repulsorlift vehicles, and at least 371 heavy tanks.
- Atrisian Corps- An elite division, consisting of 2 assault battlegroups, 1 line battlegroup, and 1 armored battlegroup. 48,403 troops, 20,602 support personnel, 3,385 repulsorlift vehicles, and 795 heavy tanks and walkers.
- Mobile Corps- 3 repulsorlift battlegroups and 1 line battlegroup, menat for fast strikes. 48,508 troops, 23,107 support personnel, 5,548 repulsorlift vehicles, and 1,138 hevay tanks.
- Armor Corps- Whereas Mobile Corps were fast and speedy, the Armor Corps was heavy hitting. 3 Armor Battlegroups and 1 Repulsorlift Battlegroup. 48,192 troops, 26,602 support personnel, 5,128 repulsorlift vehicles, and 1,219 heavy tanks and walkers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Armies were the combined forces of all military detachments in a hostile military sector. Each army was commanded by a full general, with a staff of 5 officers and 10 sub-staff officers. Armies had the same command crew as a Corps, but twice as many droids and 4 Imperial Intelligence Members. Additional an Army had one of each Corps, meaning a total of 193,644 troops, 100,042 support personnel, 16,660 repulsorcraft, and at least 3,500 heavy tanks and walkers; the combined ground forces carried on 30 Imperial Star Destroyers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Systems Armies were technically the combined Imperial ground forces were an entire system of space, in which there was known hostility. Led by a High General, these consisted of 2 armies, roughly 386,000 men, or the compliment of troops on 59 Imperial Star destroyers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sector Armies were the combined ground forces deployed in conjuction with Sector Fleets. Led by a Moff, Grand Moff, or Surface Marshall, each Sector Army was 774,576 troopers, 405,733 support personnel, 66,640 repulsorcraft, and 13,922 heavy tanks and walkers; the total of 121 Imperial Star Destroyers.

Entry: 067 Subject: PX-4 Mobile Command Base Status: Canon Capsule: The Mobile Command Base, also known as the Command Tank, was a heavily armored, mobile command vehicle designed to protect commanders while on the frontlines of hostile territory. The vehicle itself was shielded, with .5 m of armor, as well as another .5m around the command pod. The sole armament was a single heavy turbolaser. Crew included the commander, the pilot, a gunner, and 7 passengers. It could also carry a week's worth of provisions. Because of their mobility and armor, these often served as the command vehicles in armor and repulsorlift detachments. Such vehicles were used in the Battles of Yavin and Hoth. A single one of these cost 300,000 credits, and they were capable of a top speed of 200 km/h.

Entry: 068 Subject: T-47 Airspeeder Status: Canon Capsule: The T-47 Airspeeder was originally designed as an airborne caro transport, after the Rebel Alliance got it's hands on the designs, the speeder quickly became retrofitted as a military vehicle. Lacking weapons and armor by itself, the speeder received various upgrades, depending on the climate where it was working. On Dantooine, their first use, the speeders served as scouting units, and were armed only with armor and a pair of blaster cannons, scavenged from used Y-Wings. The swamp variant included airtight waterseals and flotation gear. The sand variant included enhanced filters to block out the sand, engine cooling units, along with longrange radar during sandstorms. The snow speeder, the model used during the Battle of Hoth, featured heaters near the engines, as well as de-icing nozzles to prevent freezing in sub-zero temperatures. The skyspeeder featured an airtight cocpkit along with enhanced repulsorlifts for better trvael at high altitudes. The T-47 would gain fame, eventually, during the Battle of Hoth, where they played instrumental in slowing down the advancement of Imperial forces. Despite managing to destroy two of the AT-AT walkers, the majority of the speeders were destroyed, and the Rebellion was forced to procure more.

Entry: 069 Subject: AT-PT Status: Canon Capsule: The AT-PT was the first model of the famous All Terrain Transport line, actually developed long before the Clone Wars, but with the advent of the Separatist Movement, the Republic now found itself in a more serious need for an armored personal transport and firing platform. Though never to reach the fame of its larger cousins, the AT-PT was good at what it did: harass, oppose and break the back of infantry lines. Faster and more mobile than a repulsor tank or larger walkers, its only serious failing was in terms of fire power, where it possessed only a pair of heavy blaster cannons and a concussion grenade launcher. Though these weapons and the AT-PT's armor made it a serious threat even to heavy infantry battalions, it could hardly hold its own against anything larger than itself.

Entry: 070 Subject: AT-ST Status: Canon Capsule: Where the AT-PT served as a good branching off point for the Galactic Republic, like in most things, it was the Galactic Empire's AT-ST that would come to surpass it. Despite a somewhat goofy appearance, the AT-ST was an effective light vehicle, useful in reconnaissance, and hit and run tactics against enemy installments and infantry. Armed with a pair of chin-mounted double laser cannons, and side-sponson mounted concussion grenade launcher and blaster cannon, the AT-ST was equipped to deal with infantry and armored support. A single AT-ST was run by a crew of two, who served as both pilots and gunners. The walker's primarily failing, lay in its armor and slightly unstable nature. Though proof against assorted small arms weapons, the AT-ST was vulnerable to anti-vehicular weapons and missile. Though its speed, maneuverability and ability to deal with terrain did give it an advantage in these areas, on more unstable terrain, the walker could quickly become unbalanced and tip over if pushed to far.

Entry: 071 Subject: AT-AT Status: Canon Capsule: The AT-AT was the pride of the Galactic Empire's ground forces, and rightly so. At an awe inspiring 22+ meters tall and boasting the toughest arms and armor of any assault vehicle in the Galaxy, the AT-AT was the favorite of Imperial Commanders for the crushing force it could bring to bear, and the fear it inspired with Rebel forces and planetary populaces alike. The AT-AT served as the heavy assault vehicle for Imperial ground troops, capable of not only withstanding and crushing almost anything thrown at it, but also transporting troops and light vehicles into the front lines. Armed with dual, chin-mounted Taim & Bak MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannons two fire-linked medium repeating blasters mounted on each side of the head could handle virtually any enemy target, though it excelled against infantry and ground vehicles. Although slow compared to smaller scout walkers, the AT-AT was truly capable of walking over almost any kind of terrain (In addition to most enemy forces). Depending on its configuration, the AT-AT could carry up to 40 troops in addition to smaller vehicles. The command section housed all of the AT-AT's weapon systems, as well as holographic targeting systems allowing the gunners a 360-degree view of their position. The cockpit was also equipped with a holographic projector for purposes of external communication. The head could rotate as much as ninety degrees right or left and thirty degrees up or down for an expansive field of fire.

Entry: 072 Subject: Turbolaser Status: Canon Capsule:
Turbolasers are the primary weapon in the Star Wars universe, representing the pinnacle of modern weaponry on a mass-produced scale.
To put it simple, a turbolaser is a really advanced laser, far more potent than anything 21st Century earthlings have. They are so powerful, in fact, simply powering them requires prodigious amounts of power from anti-matter power plants, either individual or large scale.
Turbolasers (and lasers for that matter) follow an intensity scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most potent. A Class 1 Turbolaser is 2-3 times more powerful than a Class 5 Laser. Class 10 Turbolasers were only found on the most powerful ships, such as Dreadnaughts, whereas Class 1s and 2s were common on small patrol craft.
The various classes of turbolaser also had specific applications. For instance, most anti-vehicle and anti-starfighter defenses used turbolasers; often times, a single turbolaser was able to destroy a shielded starfighter in one blow. Thus, turbolasers were often used for:
- Ground Based Anti-Vehicle Turrents - Ground Based Anti-Starfighter Turrents - Capital Ship Weaponry
However, at the cost of power comes a price. While the turbolaser is the weapon of choice for destroying anything going the same speed as you or slower, the power required for turbolasers means that it takes longer to fire a turbolaser; 1-2 seconds per shot as to the relatively rapidfire of normal lasers. Thus, turbolasers were often inefficient in destroying nimble objetcs, like personnel, starfighters, and small vehicles.
On capital ships, there were six basic variants of the turbolaser:
- Light Turbolaser - Turbolaser - Turbolaser Battery - Heavy Turbolaser - Dual Turbolaser Cannon - Quad Turbolaser Cannon
Light turbolasers, Class 1-3, were found on small starships and most ground-defense turrents. Because they use the lowest amount of power, they can be fired the fastest.
Turbolasers, Class 4-6, are stronger than Light turbolasers, but also slower.
Heavy turbolasers, Class 7-10, are the strongest single-fired lasers available, capable of annihilating anything without shields and good armor.
Turbolaser Batteries are simply Turbolasers that fire slightly faster than their normal kind. Technically the same thing, this designation is usually found on capital ships.
Dual Turbolaser Cannons are Turbolaser Batteries that have two barrels instead of one, allowing them to provide twice the same firepower. They also heat up fairly quickly.
Quad Turbolaser Cannons are essentially, two Dual Turbolaser Cannons. 4 times the power of a Turbolaser (because of 4 barrels), and it heats up four times faster. Because of this, the weapon is capable of a kind of rapid fire, allowing it to take out starfighters, albeit in short bursts.
