Name: Flirtz (I don't give out my real name on the internet, so just call me Flirtz!) Gender: female Birthday: April 12, 1984 (I'm turning 22 this year!) State: Currently Texas, but originally Louisiana! Religion: Catholic Political Affiliation: I'm very conservative. Occupation: house-girlfriend (Will change to "housewife" as soon as Patrick and I get married.) How I foundthis guild? In the ED forum, I was posting on a opic about mexicao and I saw Kazuma's signature, so I clicked the banner, requested to join, and she approved my request!
Death Penalty: I'm for the death penalty in cases of murder or certain crimes against children. Gay marriage: I'm morally and religiously against gay marriage, but I don't agree that we have the right to make laws against legal unions for gay people. Although I will vote against any law that allows them to be legally married. Abortion: I am against abortion completely. The only time an abortion should even be considered is if the mother's life is in danger and it's decided that she is in danger before the second trimester. No later. Global Warming: I don't really have a stance on global warming. I feel that some of the environmental restrictions on plants are just ridiculous, but certain cities are destroying our environment with smog. War in Iraq: I support the war 100%. I had several family members over there for a while, and one of my cousins is still "on call" for the Marines and he's willing to go back if he's needed. War on Terror: The more terrorists we capture and put "out of business" means that there are fewer terrorists running around the world trying to find ways to hurt us. Gun Control: I think the only people who shouldn't be allowed to own guns are people who have been convicted of any violent crime. Other than that, the right to bear arms is a constitutional right that should not be taken away! Welfare: For the most part, I'm against welfare. If necessary, give people who lose their jobs (for reasons beyond their control) the exact amount of money necessary to get them through one month. That should give them enough time to find a job, even if it's just a job at Burger King. Military: Our Armed Forces are our heroes even during times of peace! My grandfather was in the Navy, several of my cousins and uncles were in the Marines, and my cousins were actually in Iraq for a while. My only problem with our armed forces is that I don't think women should be fighting. Liberal Teachers and Professors: I've only had one liberal teacher, she moved to Louisiana from New York and I think she finally quit teaching. Actually, she finally quit attempting to teach because her views caused so many political arguements and debates in our classes (I had the great fortune to be in mostly Honors classes) that she never had the chance to "teach" us anything. Growing up in a small town in Louisiana is probably one of the reasons why I was lucky enough to have mostly conservative teachers and why I'm a rational conservative myself!
{Well, I think that about covers it.}

Name: Tim
Sex: Male
Age: 20 (on Friday)
Birthday: April 14th, 1986
State Residency: Pennsylvania
Political Affiliation: Republican- moderate on several issues, but still very conservative overall
Religion: Christian, and I have no problem with it affecting my views. Still, I rarely argue from a Christian perspective, as I realize it's pure ignorance to think that everyone believes in the Bible.
Summary of Issues:
Death Penalty- All for it in the case of murder and repeat rapists.
Gay marriage- Very much against. It's a dangerous line we're treading, and while the slippery-slope argument is often frowned upon, I find it to be true. We will soon be "tolerant" of everything.
Abortion- In the case of rape and endangerment of the mother's life, I think it should be legal, though in the former case it should still be discouraged.
Global Warming- I do think we should be careful about the environment, so much so that I often have a difference of opinion with what seems like the majority of conservatives. But some of the restrictions being placed on businesses are rediculous.
UN- KawaiiKohaku a few posts up called it "a good idea that doesn't work."
War in Iraq- Support, though I do agree that a number of mistakes had been made and we weren't ready for the implications of liberating the Iraqis. However, they are much better now than they were before.
War on Terror- Anyone who doesn't support this has to be insane.
Gun Control- I think there should be very VERY strict restrictions on who can snag those guns and who can't. We shouldn't be providing criminals or potential terrorists with ammunition. But it's a right that shouldn't be taken away.
Communism- Never.
Welfare- Decided on a case-by-case basis ideally, though that can be rather difficult. Overall, I support providing welfare for a limited amount of time.
Military- The people in the United States military are the greatest citizens of this country, and should be supported and respected.
Liberal Teachers and Professors- All of my current college professors are liberal; I know when to talk and when to keep my mouth shut, though I've actually failed a class due to my views. I couldn't really care less. Carnegie-Mellon is a very liberal school, so I just have to live with it.

Name: Sara
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Occupation: Highschool (but only for one more year!)
Club involvement: Harrassing my friends in ACLU club and the school's GSA. I love Day of Silence because one of my friends has such a hard time staying quiet, so I think of things to irritate her with (non political things).
State: Ohio
Hobbies: I like to write. I intend to study journalism in college. If I can get in and afford it I want to attend the College of Wooster or Regeant University.
Religion: I was raised in a Baptist church, but I don't get to attend service often.
Political: I will register as a Republican. All my family members (except for a few out west) are consevative Republicans. I'm a little more moderate than my parents, but I'm still very right of center.
On important issues: (no real order)
The War in Iraq: I still support it. I think the WMDs were there, but were moved. Besides, the Iraqis are better off out from under their former dictators thumb.
Death Penalty: Eye for an eye. If you take someone's life and the act was premeditated I see no reason why the state should let you live. You gave up your right to life the second you pulled that trigger.
Gay marriage: I'm against gay marriage, though I'm iffy on the "civil unions" things. I know some gay people, and I feel that being homophobic doesn't really help anyone. If you keep telling someone they can't do something they'll most likely want to do it more. I don't know. Don't call it marriage, I guess. I believe being gay is a sin, but that argument doesn't mean anything in politics today.
Global warming: A myth. Anyone ever think that the hole in the Ozone might just be the Earth's way of releasing the gases that could lead to the greenhouse effect?
The Academia: Liberal teachers are a fact of life to get used to I guess. Besides, they're fun to annoy. My most liberal teachers love me because I fight back while everyone else in the class nods and writes what they say down. I think they'd get bored without me.
The Military: The next person I hear bad mouth the military is going to find out just how hard I can punch. There is NOTHING more despicable in my view than trash talking the men and women who serve our country. My grandfather and uncle were/are WWII and Vietnam veterans respectively and I grew up with a sense of pride in knowing they served.
Welfare: Needs reformed. My view here is that the programs begun by FDR served their purpose at the time, but the things that are left from that and the ideas many Dems I know have about welfare are out-dated. There are people that need help, so we need a way to help them, but we also need a system that can't be taken advantage of as the current one sometimes is. Welfare should find people a job, not pour wasted tax dollars into them.
Abortion: One word: Murder. Nothing will ever change my belief on that point.
Gun Control: My dad has guns. They were my grandfather's. I don't want the government telling my dad he can't keep something that belonged to his father.
Maybe this is a little redneck, but my grandmother used to sleep with a shotgun by her bed when she lived out in the countryside. It makes me feel better knowing she could protect herself.
That's about it. I don't know what else to say about myself really.

Politics: Conservative on most issues. In real life I tend to keep my opinions on religion and politics to myself, so most of my (left-leaning) friends think I'm an atheist and a liberal. That amuses me greatly, and I often find myself mentally doing rolleyes while hanging out. Clearly I'm a glutton for punishment.

My political views are far more coarse and uncilivized, but I try to keep them supported with a refined, intellectual basis. Simply put, I cannot believe in democracy or a republic any longer. I was laughed at pre-9/11 for wearing a red, white, and blue American flag patterned hat, as well as choosing to participate in the Pledge of Alliegance in high school. Once 9/11 hit, however, it suddenly became trendy to wave American flags and talk like a dumbass hick.
I am conservative, but I am atheist. God could come down here and beg me to convert, and I would just sign up with the devil. I've ran into too many Christians who use bible study as a way to find ******** buddies, and who think doing it anally is a way to save their virginity.
More importantly, I believe in Social Darwinism, and this is where my extremist atheism comes into play. I am sick of hearing sob stories from people, especially when they use the "I have suffered more in life, therefore you cannot give advice" ploy. Those who are successful in life either through hard work or being descendants of those who have worked hard deserve what they have, and no one should try to belittle the pride of the successful by using the "pity me" game. This applies to the homeless as well.
Like General Patton after Roosevelt came to power in the Depression, I too wish for a capitalist dictatorship in America. At least the Constitution and our limited rights as Americans would be upheld with strict use of violence than have them thrown away by lazy, weak liberal dictators who worm their way into power. I would rather have a fascist dictator line me up in front of a firing squad who told me the truth, than a benelovent dictator who lied and claimed we functioned in a democracy.
Violence is the key to everything. We are simply beasts, just as any other creature on the planet. Considering the Earth is a closed system, the only way to share the limited chemical potential energy for all life to exist is in a limited-use time share (dare I say, the Food Chain?). Other people are simply rivals for these resources, and only inventions like "law" and "ethics" keep mankind from the truth.
We are all predators and prey, even amongst ourselves.

My name is David Baldwin, I'm 18 years old and I live in WA. I just graduated from high school this year and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my life. My goal is to become a journalist; I was the Editor-in-Chief of my high school paper and I love journalism.
My hobbies include comics, anime, manga, reading, writing, video games, and of course, politics.
Religion: I grew up as a Christian, but now I'm starting to doubt what my parents taught me.
When I turned 18 back in April I re-evaluated my views on many different things, and now I realize that I'm sort of a libertarian. I used to be more republican (or conservative, not really sure). My political views:
Abortion: I don't think someone should be able to just walk into a clinic and get an abortion. It should be allowed if the mother's life is in danger.
Gay marriage: Used to care, don't anymore. Let them get married if they want to.
Death Penalty: 100% for it.
War in Iraq: See death penalty. We liberated an oppressed people and they are better off because of it.
Welfare: Needs to be reformed and a helluva lot more strict. I like Flirtz's month idea.
Gun Control: A constitutional right that shouldn't be taken away.
Speech: Here's where I think I differ from a lot of right-leaning people, especially lately (see signature). I have a big problem with government telling us what we can and can't say (within reason: I understand libel, slander or yelling "fire!" in a theatre).
Global Warming: Myth.

Name: Thaddeus Age: 15 Gender: Male Occupation: None, nobody wants to hire a 15 year old when there's a Tresspasser willing to do it for less. Education: Moving on to the Tenth Grade.
Religion: I'm Christian, but could care less about following the "turn the other cheek" kind of morals that Jesus taught.
Abortion: The constitution grants the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Therefore, it's unconstitutional. Not to mention, life begins at conception, so you're killing a helpless, unborn child who's /your/ fault anyway. Shouldn't have been sleeping around. >> If you're a victim of rape or something, then fine. Only /they/ should have an abortion.
War in Iraq: I think we're doing much better than what the media says we are. "ZOMG WE KILLED PEOPLE! THEY DON'T LIKE US LET'S GET OUT NOW!" Think about how many lives we're saving in the future. The Middle East has always been one giant hellhole, as far as I know.
Gun control: Let people have guns. It's not like it's going to stop killing. People will just start killing with swords and axes and wizardry again.
Gay Marriage: Before we start, I don't mind if people are gay, just as long as they don't kiss or hold hands or whatever in front of children. I don't think we should allow gay marriage. Why? If we allow one form of perverse marriage, then more will come. Some pervert's gonna come out and say "Hey! If two men can marry, why can't I marry a twelve-year old!" And then some lady with a horse is gonna come out, and then a brother and sister, and a mother and son, and whatever.
Global Warming: Silly rabbit! Global warming can't explain what happened to all the ice from the ice ages!

Background: I grew up in Washington, DC but I consider myself from Charleston, SC. My husband is currently stationed here in Missouri. I have 2 beautiful girls. Caroline is 2 and a half and Keira is a month old. I consider myself a extremely right leaning Libertarian. *hears whispers in the background* Basically I am extremely conservative when it comes to economic issues, but I am a little more dare I say it, liberal when it comes to social issues. Example- I hate pork barrel projects and wasted government funds, but on gay marriage I really don't think it should be called marriage but I don't care if they have legally protected partnerships. While I find homosexuality gross and all that, I don't think they shouldn't be able to be as miserable as the rest of us married people wink .

About: Well, I come from a Christian Conservative Republican family, and my dad is really outspoken. Problem is, all my relatives - all of them - are Atheistic Liberal Democrats. So every holiday is sight to behold. However, I love a good debate as long as both sides are respectful and kind to each other. Our different opinions is what makes us America. But I do NOT tolerate America-bashing. If a foreigner does it, I won't say anything, but I won't think well of them, because how can you accurately judge someone if you have never even experienced what it is like? (Foreigners who have immigrated are exceptions, of course. We all have different experiences.) But if an American-born person does it, I can get very riled up. How can you hate your own country? It's true we're not perfect, but what country is? And our President is NOT a gun-toting hay-chewing stupid hick. I think that stereotype of him is not only insulting towards our President, but towards Southerners! It's basically saying, "Well, he made those 'mistakes' because he's from Texas!" How wrong is that?! Our President is NOT an idiot. I believe 100% that he is doing what he thinks is best for this country. I generally agree with all his policies, though I'm back and forth on stem cell. I have not fully researched it so I can't form an opinion yet. I am in my school's debate club, one of only two Republican members. The majority of people in my state are Democrats, so my friends and I usually refrain from talking about politics since they know I'll be the odd one out. However, over the years I have grown as a person and I'm pretty good at controlling my temper, so I can debate honorably. If only some of our esteemed representatives could do so too. In spite of it all, I do rock back and forth on the War in Iraq issue. I feel going into Iraq was necessary, however appalling the idea was to me. But when I think about how I felt the day I watched the Twin Towers come down (I live closeby to them and we watched it on a big screen at school) and all the events with Afghanistan and Hussein, etc, that occurred after, I feel angry. I don't want revenge, I just want this stupid terrorism to come to an end. Sometimes I feel we're accomplishing that in a sort of roundabout way, but I trust the men WE elected into power. My dream is to major in Japanese and become a teacher to supplement my income while I work on becoming a published writer. I want to travel the world and have a family. I want to adopt kids and help the people of Sudan. Someday I'd like to visit Israel and visit the sites important to my religion.

Hey, i'm Eithne, and living in Sothern California, i'm a conservative who's often hard-pressed to find someone who shares my views. I'm church-centered, and when i'm not doing schoolwork or gooffing off, i'm listening to/playing music, reading, marching in band, hanging out, or causing a general ruckus. while i'm trying to control myself, i can be pretty hardcore and stubborn when it comes to politics, making me a great debate-mate so yeah, this about how introductive i get when it comes to talking about myself, cuz it's a subject i don't approach in this manner often. if u wanna know more about me, just pm me.

oh, and i forgot to mention:
if communism in its purest form (a world without class divisions, as the immortal che followed it) worked, i would be a communist in that aspect. since i'm realistic and know that it looks great on paper but people like castro and stalin distort it and turn it into a device for self-glorification and -promotion will constantly taint it, meaning it will never work out
abortion and embryonic stem cell research is WRONG. no excuses.
no gay marriage, cuz guess what, if they get that, ten bucks the mormons will be demaning the leagalizing of poligomy, since otherwise its discrimination against their religion
war is necessary, and at this point, we can't just pull out and leave a mess behind
anti-terror!
pro-death penalty
anti-gun control, and no, don't use the 2nd amendment to support this right, since if its literally read it doesn't gaurantee anything.
and i'm a Missouri Synod Lutheran, who tries to prove her points of views without religious backing, since i know that will only persuade those of similar views and those who are athiest, agnostic, or from some cult won't be convinced by what the Bible says.
