He smiled... he was somewhat accepted by at least two quincy now. Shio was about to take a seat before looking at the homework she was doing.."I'm uhh.. fifteen... We probably go to the same school seeing as though we've did that same material... like four times..." He smiled, looking over her now... "You need any help.... I might end up living here so..... I guess we should be friends..."

"I'm 14, 15 soon though," Yumi replied without looking up. Biting her lip she flipped back to the beginning of the passage. There had to be an analogy somewhere in there. Groaning she said, "I can't find any stupid analogies for life in this chapter and there's a dumb question on it is all. Maybe its a trick question." Tossing the book to the ground in defeat Yumi glared at it as though it had done something wrong.

He smiled again as he got closer, picking up the book and opening it to the exact page she'd stopped reading on.. He'd memorized the books width and stuff... exact page... Simple to him..."Aww... lemme look at this... You know you don't HAVE give up so easy.. the answers probably right in front of ya.... just.. hidden..?" He gave her the book back... pointing at a random sentence.. He hadn't even looked at the sentence... or so it seemed.

Yuhng finished baking the potatoes soon, a warm aroma drifting lazily around the kitchen. It might not have been what Serza was expecting or wanted, but he got the feeling that she could be a naturally annoyed person. Her way or no way, except Yuhng was too much of an independent slacker to care much. He did not really have anything too valuable to him, so if he got in trouble there was not much that a person could threaten. Besides, it was always good to try something new. Even people who grudgingly admit might like it eventually.
Taking out the baking sheet with the steaming potatoes, Yuhng dug through all the cabinets until he could find dishes and bowls. He laid them out on the table, placing the potatoes to the side so that people could pick which ever size potato they wanted. The center he left for Serza's stew, placing bowls at each spot along with forks, knives, and spoons.

"Right in front of my nose, eh? I've heard that before but-" She stopped as she read the line he was pointing at. Reading it through again a second time she caught it. There it was, a sentence that compared the circus in the story to life. Blinking she looked back at Shio and asked a bit shocked, "That's it. But how did you... You didn't even look, or wait, did you? I mean..." Yumi stopped herself, confused at how she'd missed that part. She could smell the cooking in the kitchen coming along, but she was still confused here. "Do you have, like I don't you, this book memorized?"

He blushed slightly.... He really was a genius.. and actually had read the book once... "No its just that I'm kinda.... smart... smarter then the usual person. I just have a high I.Q thats all..." He smiled and took a whiff of the air.. Food. He'd almost forgotten that he was hungry... He turned hearing clattering of plates and other utensils... "Somethings done.. Smells good too.." He turned back. "I thought this place was empty.. seems theres quite a few people here.."

Serza tests the stew in a small cup, nodding to herself as she decides its done, then carries the pot over to the table and sets it on a metal pot holder. "Well at least you can be helpful Yuhng." Serza says off hand to Yuhng as she walks in to get Yumi. "Who are you and what are you doing in my home?" Serza asks the boy standing next to Yumi.

"Smart, I'll say, more like genius," Yumi said, grabbing her pen and scrawling down the answer quickly before she lost her spot in the book. As he commented on the smell Yumi nodded and said without looking up, "Yeah, Serza's a good cook, tastes as good as it smells, and there's someone else helping today." Looking up she saw Serza come in and was about to speak when she starting interrogating Shio.
Speaking up in case he got jittery all over all again, Yumi answered, "Says his name is Shio, Asai found him, and he's good with homework." The last part she said with a little laugh, going back to her work, writing another line.

Serza looks over to Yumi from the hole she was trying to make in Shio's head, "Oh great another one, and let me guess I can't just feed him to the wild animals?" Serza asks with a wicked smile on her face, "I'll leave it to you to explain the rules to him..." Serza starts to say as there is a knock at the door. Annoyed Serza flicks her wrist, sending her new dagger threw the door up to its hilt. "Someone want to get that, then you two can come to dinner."

Asai sat on the roof of Serza's home. He noticed the last Quincy walking up the path to join the one who had previously arrived.
Well, it seems that not Serza has a formittable force under her roof. he thought.
Asai didn't eat, for there was no point. The curse of the quincy had done more damage than just leaving him scarred. Even is his face was acceptable to show in public, he still had too much shame on it to expose to the others. He sat up, realizing his nap had led him late into the night. He had buisness to attend to by daybreak.
He jumped off into the distance

"Delicious," Yuhng murmured as he started rummaging through the refrigerator for a bottle of cold water. "That stew smells delectable."
"Yumi, Serza, new kid, any of you guys want anything to drink?" Yuhng hollered into the dining / living room. "Anything else we'll need for the meal? If not, let's get at it. I'm starvin' yo!"
He looked into the pantry, surprised to see some chocolate chips in there. That gave him some ideas. Since the weather was getting colder, maybe the others would want some legitimate hot chocolate. He could make it old-school style, and it had a richer taste that way. Hot cocoa that wasn't water diluted was always a sure way to cheer people up in the winter. Unless, of course, they preferred the freezing cold for some strange reason.

Ritosune enters the grounds, his hands in his pocket. He sighs lightly as he looks around, attempting to memorize the land. "...Well.." He mutters under his breath. "...It could always be worse."
