"Isn't it obvious dear Sakura? We're allies against a common foe, you know that. For someone top of her class in the academy as a child, you sure ask stupid questions."
More of Kabuto's tricks he had up his sleeve. He still possessed that deck of info cards on each ninja he had encountered and had been updating them for each change of ability and appearence. The cards allowed him to know key things about many ninja he knew, including Sakura and her abilities. Kabuto would update his cards on his own time though, he wanted to paly genuis and fool others that he knew alot about their past.
"And I'm sure while I'm around you'll get use to it, after all, we're both medical ninja."
Kabuto smiled his devilish grin as his glasses glared in the sun, pushing them farther up by pressing his right index finger on the middle.
"Now, where is your friends? Shouldn't let them leave without interoducing an old friend of yours."

Mai appeared beside her, intentionally sneaking up on the two conversing. She looked at Kabuto with dead, cold eyes.

Kabuto met her cold stare with a stare of cheerful nature and a smile that he always wore on his face when he felt confident. Whoever this person was, he had to make a information card on her later.
"I'm an old friend from her Chunin Exam days, ever since then we've met occasionally. Let me introduce myself, I'm Kabuto Yakushi, right-hand man for the Snake Sannin and Kage of the Hidden Sound Village, Orochimaru."
Kabuto exteneded his right hand towards Mai as a friendly greetings towards Mai, more of a mocking gesture because of who he was trully allied to.
"And who might you be?"

Her lip twitched and she ignored his outstreched hand.
"Orochimaru, huh?" Mai repeated, raising a delicate eyebrow. Her thoughts flickered to Kikyo, and her past, but it only remained for a moment or two.
"Mai Ito. New kinoichi here in the Leaf Village. I'm originally from the Whirlpool Village." She stated, cold eyes still locked onto his cheery person.

"The Whirlpool Village? Don't hear that one too often, they must certainly not be known for the manners at all judging by your attitude. You'll trust me later on for sure when I'm one of the ninja that very well might save you life."
Kabuto retracted his right hand, knowing well it would have never met with hers in a common gesture of shakeing hands. He wanted to make all the teams knew he wasn't planning to do any betrayal by putting a mask of cheerful manner. In truth, the mask of cheerful nature was the utter delight of being around former enemies and basically taunting them due to the fact they were allies now or at least for a time.
"You see, I'm a medical ninja that possess medical abiltites that are quite amazing, you'll see that if we ever aid each other on the field of combat or in some odd twist of alliance, against one another."
Kabuto demonstrated his abillities by igniting his right hand with Chakra and holding it up beside his face. His left cheek started to suffer tissue damage, but quickly healed itself faster then the Chakra Scalpel could damage the tissue.

"I guess fate will decide trully who will save who will or who might even kill who if it gets right to it. Till then, lets just enjoy the peace while it lasts Mai. YOu better not cross me, what if I ended up sqaud leader of your team? Wouldn't that be ironic?"
Technically it was a slim possibility, Kabuto did have the skills of a Jounin and was labeled one in the village's mission database. Of course, Kabuto personally didn't want to be part of a sqaud outside of the Sound Village due to the fact a squad under a differnt village wouldn't listen well to a Sound ninja, especially Orochimaru's right-hand man.
"Putting all of the village squables aside, we do have a common enemy and I will be around for awhile, so don't keep the face of mistrust or it may stay that way."

"Mai, it's alright." Sakura finally spoke, getting over the various feelings of anger and disgust at seeing Kabuto again. "Sure, Kabuto's bothering me, but he bothers everyone, so that's nothing new."
She stared coldly at Kabuto, angry at him for still being there, angry at him for smiling like that. "Now, if you have nothing actually important to say, do you mind leaving my teammate alone so we can get something done?"

"But I'm bored and thought it would be fun to hang out with some old friends and Kakashi doesn't seem to like me either, but I'll respect your wishes since I think I owe you that much, I suppose. We'll meet again and hopfully I'll get a more friendly greeting."
Kabuto stepped back and turned around, making his way to whatever await him in the village as entertainment. He almost forgot his real purpose for introducing himself to them. Quickly turning, Kabuto yelled a request.
"Next time you see Kikyo, tell her Kabuto has a message for her, its quite important, from Orochimaru himself!"
Kabuto had a grin across his face as he turned around again to conitune on his way to whatever he felt like doing.

Sakura stiffened, surprised to hear her other teammate's name in Kabuto's message. It doesn't necessarily mean Kikyo's working for Orochimaru. Kabuto's probably just trying to screw with us.
Then again, if she is working for Orochimaru, it probably doesn't matter anymore.
Whatever it means, I'll ask Kikyo about it.
She turned back to Mai, and frowned slightly. "Listen, Mai. I'm sorry about earlier. I know we're all going through hard times, but that's no reason for me to downplay your pain."
Kimiko shook her head. "I'm not interested in revenge," she told Katsu. "The dead are dead. They don't care anymore. I'm just tired of living in fear. I want my life back. That's what I'm fighting for."

Kikyo jumped down in front of Kabuto.
"What do you want, you Sleezy jerk?" She asked, holding a kunai in front of her. "And why does it include me? I gave up on my past since you left me here, so what does Orochimaru want with me, when he thinks I'm dead. He does think that, right?"
"I'm fighting for my companions." Kanah said. "Maybe not close friends, but we are all wanting the Akatsuki out of power."

Sakura sighed quietly to herself. I guess Mai just isn't very social. She jumped back onto the ramen shop, hoping that Kikyo was still there. Of course, she wasn't. Sakura groaned, and looked up at the sky.
"Why can't I ever have sane teammates?"
She looked around the shop, trying to find Kikyo, and saw her talking to Kabuto. Great. Looks like she'll be getting that message personally.
Sakura hopped down from the store, and started after Kikyo.
"Okay." Kimiko nodded. "As long as we all know what we're fighting for, I suppose."
