Lucy smiled happily at Taelia's response. She leaned back a little bit as drank some more of her beverage as Rein finished eating and began cutting the cake into easier pieces for the girl to eat. First, she picked off all of the strawberries and places them on the side for later, before she began to eat the cake itself.
"Great. We can leave as soon as you and Riku finish eating!" Rein says as she watched Lucy quickly eat her cake as if there was no tomorrow. Finishing up her own drink, she adds, "Lucy is really excited, so I'm sure she wants to go as soon as possible!"

Taelia continued eating her rice, until it was gone. Then, she started on the cake, "This cake is great!" Lucy had good taste in foods, it seemed. The cake was just about perfect.
She nodded to Rein, "Okay, we'll eat as fast as we can!" She wondered where they were going that would make Lucy so excited, it would be fun to see where they were going!
Riku ate another strawberry, the juice dribbling between his fingers.

Lucy stopped eating her cake for a moment to watch Riku eat his strawberries. "Messy..." She bluntly states, though her face was also covered in whip cream. She looked around her and found several unused napkins on the empty table behind her. With her vectors, she grabbed some of them and handed one over to Riku while she used the other to wipe off the cream from her face before continuing.
"It isn't necessary to rush though! Eating to fast may cause you to choke!" Rein says.

Riku giggled and grabbed the napkin. He didn't know what it was and put it in his mouth, chewing on the paper.
Taelia quickly got up and distracted Riku with a strawberry, so he dropped the napkin and replaced it with the red fruit, chewing cheerfully. She then gently wiped his hands and face with the slightly damp napkin. She quietly returned to her set, "True, I'd rather not choke before we go and have fun!"
Taelia looked to Lucy, "Thanks for trying to help Riku, but he's too little to know how to use a napkin properly. You can help teach him though, when he's old enough, if you want." She gave the girl a friendly smile.

Rein chuckled a little. "Yes, so please do be careful. Otherwise, I'd might have to preform the heimlich maneuver on you, which I have no idea how to do so!"
Lucy tilted her head to the side. That would mean she would be able to see Riku and Taelia again? She nodded her head a little. "Okay.." Before she started to chew on the strawberries that she placed to the side.

Taelia laughed, "Maybe Riku could perform the heimlich!" She teased with Rein, it was a lot of fun hanging out with friends!
Riku, getting caught up with the laughter, giggled as well.
Taelia nodded to Lucy, "Okay, thanks, I'm glad you agreed to help!" It'd be fun to work together to teach Riku how to use a napkin, and the younger girl might be better able to talk with him since she was closer to his age.

"Who knows. He'd probably do it better than I ever could!" Rein smiled at the thought. It was good to meet someone where she could easily joke around with.
Seeing a waitress pass by, she signaled the employee over to ask for the check. "As soon as your finished, I'll go up to pay for the food. You and Riku can just wait with Lucy outside. I shouldn't take too long!" Rein said while looking at the receipt given to her.
Lucy looked over towards the giggling baby and nodded her head a little. "Doesn't look hard..." Although, that's what the girl believed anyway. Babies were a lot smarter than they seemed. At least that's what she once remembered being told.

Taelia laughed and looked over to Riku, "Yeah, he looks capable of doing a great heimlich!" She grinned to Rein, enjoying the joke as well.
Riku giggled at this, not understanding what they were saying, but enjoying the laughter.
Taelia nodded, "Okay, thanks so much!" She only had a few bites left, so it wouldn't take long at all.
She smiled to Lucy, "Hopefully it won't be, but it'll be more fun with the both of us!" She had no idea what it would involve, but a group effort would be fun.

Rein chuckled a little as she took out her wallet. "This should be enough for a tip..." The woman muttered putting some money on the table, using her empty glass as weight to hold it down.
Lucy leaned back in her chair. "He always looks so happy..." Lucy thought out loud watching Riku. He was definitely different from her when she was a baby. Around most people at least.

Taeila looked at Rein, "Oh! I almost forgot, I was going to pay the tip, if that's okay with you?" She had gotten caught up in the excitement, and had nearly neglected to bring it up to Rein.
She nodded to Lucy, "Yeah, I've never seen him too upset, and if he is, it's usually not for long." Riku was a well-behaved and easy-going baby for the most part.

Rein smiled a little. "Well, since I decided to treat you and Riku, I thought I should pay for the tip as well. Don't worry about it~!"
"I see..." Lucy muttered as she leaned back in her chair. "Then he really likes you then." The toddler half smiled at the thought.

She smiled, "That's good then, because I really like Riku. Everything was kinda lonely in my house until I adopted him."

Hearing the word 'adopted' caught Rein's attention. "Oh, I've been meaning to ask, where did you adopt him from?" She had been meaning to ask, however, the question seemed to have left her mind during the time they were eating.

Taelia thought for a moment, "I'm not sure of the full name of it, but it's not too far from here..." She gave a small laugh, "This may sound crazy, but he, and all the other kids at the adoption center, started off as a small pendant, and then one day, he turned into a baby." She hoped that her new friends wouldn't think her nuts.

"Oh, I wouldn't think of it as crazy at all!" Rein smiled a little. "Seems like a small world!" She pointed over towards Lucy. "I also received Lucy from the very same place. Whenever I'm busy, I always drop her off at the adoption agency so that Sesshomaru can babysit her!"
"Master Sesshomaru...." Lucy corrected upon hearing the name of the dog demon. It had been a while since she last seen her master. The little girl wondered how he was doing lately.
"Ahaha...right..." Rein muttered nervously. There was no way in hell would she ever address him as 'master'.
