^^ I think you're right. It's probably because summer's starting to wind down and some people are starting back to school. I know I'm going to be reeeeeally busy when I get back on campus, especially if I get a job.

Urgh...school. It starts Thursday for me. It's going to kill me!!!

And do any of you like the Twilight series? I just finished Breaking Dawn and it was excellent!!!

I don't start back until the 23rd. Still too early for me, though. xD

Omg, Breaking Dawn was epic win, well parts of it, anyway. There were definitely some things I was really unhappy about and some of it was rather cliche, but overall, I liked it a lot and I'm satisfied with the ending.

Wow, you guys are starting EARLY. What's with this? XD;

I'm taking a summer history class... I haven't signed up for the fall yet. It all depends on whether I find a job or not neutral

I start back the 28th, haha. But, my little brother starts Kindergarten on the 25th. <3

I'm a Twilight fan, I suppose. I like to read the books once in a while, and I think that they're okay. I'm not one of the rabid fanatics, and I don't think that it deserves the hype it gets, but I like it. The Host was better. >>

Actually, I probably don't light Twilight that much because I'm a werewolf fan. It's hard to like fictional vampires for someone like me, haha. Buuut. . .Last year our reading list for one of my school events included Twilight, so I reread the series. Surprisingly, this year, MY Twilight is on the list. My Twilight, in other words the book I obsess over and adore with all my heart, is Blood and Chocolate. <3

Breaking Dawn? Eh. I might read it, when I get it in the school library. The obsessed Army will be making the librarian get it for them, so I'll get it when they're done.

Is that the last one, or is it the one that's from Edward's POV?

. . .
By the way, since this is the chatting thread, I have a question for all of you.

Do you think it's right to be sorted into Slytherin because you're Dark, or because part of you is dark and it's 'going to grow?'

Two of the first year Slytherins used that excuse as their reason for being sorted into Slytherin, and I'm now pissed off at them.

I understand your anger, Slytherclaw, but I don't think this is the place to talk about it either : This should be discussed calmly as an entire RP, wherever the mods deem it appropriate. It's not going to do anybody any good if you attack the new Slytherins; it's only going to cause a lot of trouble.

I'm not one of the obsessive fans, either. I was a fan when the book signings drew maybe twenty people, not thousands. lol I don't think they're amazing, but I enjoy the series. Breaking Dawn is the last book in Bella's perspective and the last of the Twilight series. Midnight Sun, the book from Edward's perspective, is a retelling of Twilight.

On another note, no I do not think that being dark is a reason to be sorted into Slytherin and I don't like that they posted that either, but we don't need to start anything, which this kind of discussion is likely to lead to. So please refrain from discussing this here. If Kanita or Ally has a problem with the posts, they will let the members in question know.

No, I'm not asking to complain right now. At this moment, I'm asking to see what others in the guild believe. If they disagree with me, I'm going to keep my peace. If they don't, that's when I'm going to take it up with the moderators of the guild.

I'm not attacking them at the moment, either. I deleted my post in the other thread.

Hey Slytherclaw.
I'm sorry about the two posts in the sorting thread and I talked with my friend who said you were right. She changed her post so that it tried to reflect more of Slytherin values, but I also read over her post and it didnt seem that offensive to me. In my personal opinion, I think that between Slytherin and Gryffindor, the difference may be the side they pick in the good vs. evil argument. Ultimately the whole light/dark thing stems from the comment that Ron made in the first book on how not a single wizard that was sorted into Slytherin didnt go bad.

p.s. I'm not trying to stir up trouble or anything. I'm a big fan of the hp series and i devoted a lot of time to the series.

Well, finding a general consensus on everyone's opinion is definitely a positive way to go. :3 I don't want anyone getting offended and starting unfortunate incidents, and the last sentence of your post posing the question could be taken badly. That's all.

Personally, I agree with you; Slytherin is a house of subtlety and shades of gray, not being goth or simply being mean. Seamus was fairly mean for a Gryffindor, and Slughorn tame for a Slytherin.

I haven't looked at the profiles of these new Slytherins. As far as I'm concerned, I don't mind giving them time to prove themselves. But if they still lack Slytherin qualities after some time being played, their house should be reconsidered.

Whatever, I'm just going to drop the subject, for the moment.

Um, sorry guys. I just erased the last post in the Sorting Hats thingy. Um, really, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to piss anyone off. -cough-Slytherclaw-cough-
Really guys, if you're all gonna cry about it, then I shall erase it... >.>

NO SPOILERS

I haven't read it yet.

I have to agree with you. Just because they are dark, doesn't mean that they should be a slytherin. If they like to cause trouble, wouldn't that be a surefire gryffindor, not a slytherin.

Anyways, this is a chatter thread, and it doesn't matter what you have to say, it's alright to say it. The mods (me) will listen.

Every person has a character, and as the roleplay goes on, their character develops.
