92G Cook thinking about reclassing to a 31D or one of the 25 series Mos's. best thing about the job get all the food i want. worst thing is DFAC's have to be open 20/7 so that means no time to oneself. no holidays or weekends. but gotta love the free munchies lol.

63B, just finished up AIT on September 3rd. Testing out of ASI H8 this Monday and going home Wednesday September 23rd. Headed to Fort Riley, Kansas in October. Was originally training up to be 11B but let's just say s**t happens. It was either reclass or go home and I damn sure wasn't going home.
The Good: I get to turn wrenches, which I greatly enjoy doing and get a kick out of. And it goes to a much greater cause than just serving as civilian transportation, this is actually getting soldiers out into the fight.
The Bad: The PT sucks. Probably won't see much combat action in Iraq, everybody I know say it's quiet over there these days. My buddy with 101st is a 63B and he spent alot of time on the 50 CAL. I shoulda joined fresh outta high school

Not sure if I posted already and too lazy to look. I'm a 92A Automatic Logistical Technical Specials.... or SAMS-E Clerk if you will. My job means I work closely with mechanics getting repair parts for weapons and vehicles as well as handling dispatches. Despite what my MOS is I'm doing the job of a 92Y working as my company supply NCO. I order everything from pens, to tools, to medical equipment since we are part medic company. Long hours, everyone hates you, and if you don't do your job everyone else is ********. What a GREAT job! xd

LordEmperorAmoeba OMG BREASTESES What do 92G even do anymore? I've only ever met one, and he said he -never- did anything involving cooking nowadays. I remember when EOD sounded fun to me. LOL. They boil bags full of ready-made food, cook something that looks kind of like eggs after you add the water, and make coffee. =p I remember when EOD, Ranger, SF and all those other high-speed things sounded exciting to me. Now I'll be content to do commo. whee only when we're in the field on an MKT or CK. back in the states we actually cook. think of how on tv you see the shows when trainee chefs are running around like chickens with no heads. will for them they cook for like 2-500 were we are always cooking for 1000 plus any field team or special events they pop up at last min notice.

92GOLF 92G, Texas Army National Guard. Food preparation specialist. Go ahead and laugh xd I love to cook, and when I found out I could do it in the military, I was enthralled. you haven't worked in a DFAC yet. there been times were we were suppose to have 25 cooks and something happens and were down to 8 from 0200-2000 everyday. but it might be different cause your in the AG not the regular Army. wish you the best of luck guy.
