"My name is also Hebrew, meaning breath. My mentor named me after a young shepherd in the Scripture," Abel replied and rose up slightly so that one paw could lightly tap her nose, an affectionate action he often used.
"And your name, means lady, or princess or goddess, depending on the source," he added and returned to his more relaxed position, returning his head to his paws.

She laughed lightly and nuzzled his paw. "S'that so? Well I'm 'ardly a princess you see." She moved close and stroked his gloved paw lightly with her own laced one.
"And you? Breath?" She leaned closer and inhaled softly, she wouldn't mind sharing her breath with him at all, just a moment to see what it felt like this strange curious tingling sense.

Abel chuckled and nodded his head as his paw moved a bit beneath hers.
"I like to think of it as signifying the breath of God within me," he explained and quieted as she moved close and breathed in deeply. He tilted his head a bit as he watched her, confused by her actions. He'd never been around a female quite like Sarah. She definitely confused him at times.

She smiled and slowly leaned back giving him space, she wanted to replace God's breath with her own, but such a moment would have to wait. She slowly behind behind him and leaned to examine the blood on his wing.
"S'not dry..." She lifted her paw. "What is it that makes you so sensitive when I touch it?"She tilted her head curious.

Abel watched as she stood and observed his wings. He flinched a bit and the dark appendages twitched.
"Please... don't touch them. When they touch another, I taste a bit of their... soul. The more evil, the more malice, the more cruelty, the sweeter the taste," he sighed, unable to lie to her. He figured might as well tell her, if only to stop her from asking anymore.
"And... it's not my blood, but a reminder of what I've done," he added, looking back at it for a moment. His blue eye darkened a bit for a passing moment, but when he blinked it was back to normal. How long had it been? Not long enough, he figured. It was never long enough.

She pulled her paw back and moved curiously infront of him "I must taste like sugar..." She sighed softly and eyed the blood, she had no reminder, only her bloody colored fins and the muddy ditch she called home, a place where she could slice up little otters and make her pies only to venture out and trade them to others.

Abel smiled a tiny bit and shook his head.
"No, you didn't. There was just a hint. Whatever it is that you do, it isn't as horrible as some things I've seen, and you can be redeemed, if you choose," he replied and sighed, lying his head back on his paws. He worried he would never be able to come back from his sins.

She smiled softly and touched her paw with his once more "Would you 'elp me be redeemed then priest?" She grinned and sighed moving back. She turned and gazed off towards the river.
"I should be off then..." She did not want to leave the interesting male, his eyes would haunt her, she feared if she took her own intent gaze off of him he would vanish, only a dream.

Abel smiled as he, too, stood and watched her.
"I would, Sarah. Anything in my power," he replied and walked to her side. He tilted his head a bit and his ears perked up.
"Shall we meet here another day, then?" he asked and looked up at the sky, his smile growing more humored.
"Or another evening, I should say."

She smiled softly and nodded eagerly looking up at him suddenly surprised by how much taller he was then she, it was not just his wings that made him appear as such. She placed her paw beside his and smiled to herself, to think she had thought to bring this angel down.
"Yes I want to see you again soon love." She grinned and touched her nose up to his chin. "Take care Abel."
She turned and slipped into the river, dark now, her clothes absorbed the water and darkened and she vanished beneath the black looking water.

Abel's paw lightly touched hers before she left and he called to her as she slipped into the water.
"Be safe, Sarah, and may the Lord be with you," he said, hoping she heard him. For some reason... he felt different when she left, as if the world had gotten colder, darker. He sighed and spread his wings, flapping up into the dark sky. Believe it or not, the odd priest lived in a rather large tree, rather than a den. Once he was above the trees, he turned himself in the right direction and flew towards home, the moonlight dancing lightly on his feathers.
