Although I don't think it will beat reading a book in an ambulance, the oddest place I have read a book is in a tattoo studio, while getting a tattoo. Turns out I can ignore pretty well everything when I'm reading, including pain.

 when i was younger i would crawl underneath the bed and read. i was a really lonely child without many friends. and i liked to talk to myself a lot... i had quite the imagination. but yeah... when i got lonely i'd just read under the bed.

At a grocery store, where I work, while I was working. It was a slow night, no one was at my register, I had a book in my pocket, you do the math.

I would probably say at the grocery store while helping my mom with the shopping. I was reading and pushing the cart at the same time.

Last year in my personal fitness class, since I was required to be moving until the end of the period, I would walk around the gym reading. I always got the strangest looks. sweatdrop

Probably a disco. I just didn't 'get' night clubs as a kid. It's hard to read under a strobe light.

Genius girlpuck! I've been wondering how I could stand to get a tattoo. (I pretty much want one.) I bet that'd do the trick, go hyper-concentration go!
As far as weird places to read... a tree when I was younger (hmm I miss that tree)
See the difficulty is I don't find it weird to be reading ANYWHERE. biggrin
