Indeed kids are growing up faster it seems. When I was 13 years old I wasn't exactly busy with having sex and losing my virginity (sp?), however, I've seen kids of 12 allready having sex and going out to pubs to get drunk etc :/
And some ex-classmate told me yesterday that I should stop gaming because 18 "is waaaaaay too old for that". What's with her trying to tell me I'm too old for videogames :/

This is why I don't say my age online. Please don't ask me how old I am, I won't tell you simply because I don't think it matters (not because I'm too young to be here).

No one is any older, or younger, then they feel inside. AND, gaming, and gaming sites, are not for children alone. Those that are usually include Dora the Explorer. To suggest Gaia, and video games, are for children alone, is simply rediculous, and can only be stated by those with no real concept of life.

It's a sad day when 21 is considered old in the modern age. Maybe it was "too old" in the middle ages, but... 21 is only barely drinking age! You can't be too old, this is the prime of your life!

And then I almost feel like I'm some old grandma type for thinking these things, but still... it's just weird. stare

it's completely not right that children are having sex so young, but i expect things will turn around soon enough, society's morals crash, then rebuild themselves all the time, it's just unfortunate that it's happening in our lifetime neutral
and it is only kids(the one's who think they're mature enough to have sex) who think anyone over 17 is 'old' rolleyes
they resort to they're true age and go crying to their parents once things don't go their way though don't they?? the same parents that they spend most of their time telling to f*** off and leave them alone...

I spend a LOT of time lurking, in retrospect anyways... I'd forgotten about this thread, and in reading over the first post again, I'm not suprised I rarely see KamikazeFinn anymore. sad

I usually lurk over here too, in many threads I don't have much to say about the subject sweatdrop
but to get back on-topic...it's so odd to see 12 year-olds smoking and having sex! Especially when I look at when I was 12... sweatdrop

All we can do is pitty them, for they are obviously messed up children and they are ruining their own lives. That and hope for their sakes they actually grow up and act their age instead of pretending to be grown up and destroying their bodies in the process. sad

*nods* It is really sad. And I can only wonder where their parents are. Its very important for parents to talk to their kids about this kind of stuff. I wish more kids had the kind of relationship with their parents that I do. My Mom is my best friend and my Dad is a cool father...though sometimes he acts younger than I am. xp

there are kids who tend to rebel, they do exactly the opposite from what their parents say - it's not allways the parent's fault. Sometimes it is, but not allways. Getting the wrong friends is also a reason why kids start to act that way.
