Carlos' eyes widened in surprise before returning the kiss, reaching up to touch Adrian's face gently. Busy? "Oh, um, yes... probably this week or next..."

"That's not too long of a wait." Adrian leaned in and kissed the unicat again. "How long do you think it will take until your house is done?" He wanted to see how the house worked, that's all.

His tail flicked happily as Carlos kissed Adrian, wrapping his arms around the rat's neck. Two kisses?! In the car, next to Adrian, no yelling, sometimes joking... Carlos was in heaven! He reluctantly pulled away to reply. "Nope... it really depends on how soon they can get the garage cleared out. I don't know how long it's going to take... Do you want to check it out? Or we could talk to Mel and see what's going on..."
(( Just so you know, I'm not strong mathematically or with magic, so just bear with me. Also the layout is confusing as the house goes into the fourth dimension, so you'll have to bear with me on that too. ))

Adrian shrugged. "It's up to you really. I'm fine with staying here if you want to. I was just wondering if I'd get to see your house when it's built is all." The rat was tempted to pull the unicat to his side of the car, so he could be closer to him. He had really missed Carlos.

"You're kidding right? I could stay here all day!" He'd spent the day in or under or somewhere around his car many times. Once Jimi found him out here at around ten at night and had to drag him out from under the car... "But you can see the house anytime you like. I could give you a tour. We'll be dodging construction of course, but now that you know where I live you can come whenever you want." Of course he meant that, even though he was not expecting Adrian to take him up on that offer one random night at 3am or something.

Adrian shook his head at the unicat. Carlos was obviously in love with his car and proud of his work on it. 'I'm almost jealous of this car,' he thought. "A tour would be fine. How many people do you have working on it anyways?" The rat smirked at the thought of being able to come over and seen Carlos when ever he wanted to. It would certainly calm him, knowing he could just surprise the other, in case he thought Carlos was up to something not good.

"Pretty much everyone's helping out somehow. If they aren't building they might be in the kitchen feeding everyone else or something. A lot of us had others they wanted to touch base with too, of course, so it's almost like it's going in shifts. Not everyone was as lucky as I was with you though..." Several people came to mind. It was just too depressing to think about, so he physically shrugged it off. Later. "So did you want to go now, or later?"
(( LOL Wonder what Adrian had in mind that Carlos might be up to... xD; ))

The rat thought about how he would be if he hadn't given Carlos the chance to explain everything. He would probably be bleeding somewhere from Jimi finding and beating the s**t out of him for one; he'd rather not think about the rest. "Now if fine, unless you want to wait and show me when everything is finished."
((That's Adrian and his oh-so wonderful lack of trusting others))

"Nope, now is fine. I can show you around twice, once now and once when finished, if you want." Carlos laughed and opened the car door, slipping out of the car and watching Adrian. "We can go inside through the door in back. Let's see... we were able to clean up the front rooms all right, the kitchen, den, gaming and living rooms of course. My room is all right too, it's a little slanted and dusty..." the unicat said off-handedly, hands on his hips.

Adrian climbed out of the car as well. "It's a date. So, where are we starting?" He smirked slightly. "You'll show me your room? So, I know which one to sneak into at 3 in the morning when I want to see you, right?" Again, the rat was just joking. He wouldn't show up at 3 am at anyone's house, not even his own sometimes.

Carlos' eyes widened. 3am?! Why would anyone, even Adrian come to visit at such a crazy hour? He considered it and could think of a few reasons... His ears flattened a little as his face flushed. "Well... try not to come unannounced. Oh! You should have my number." It would not have helped while they were stuck; they were completely cut off from the outside world, and even if they had not been, there was no reception for anything except for landlines. "My cell phone does not get reception in here, but it does when I'm outside. We have a landline too, but you run the risk of some random person answering it... Why don't we go to the kitchen first? I can get some paper to write on," Carlos grinned.

Adrian watched, pleased with himself when Carlos started blushing. "Why would I let you know when I'm coming? What if I want to surprise you or something, huh?" he asked. The rat would call in advance if that's what Carlos wanted, but he wanted to tease the unicat more. "I'll give you my number as well, in case you ever need me or something." He nodded. "Lead the way."

"Well, um..." Carlos wasn't sure what to say, though he was fairly certain he was being teased again. "Well then I think it's only fair that when I find out where you live, I can visit you unannounced!" He said finally with a grin. Of course that was entirely dependent on when Adrian decided to show him his place. "But yeah... here, I'll show you..." The unicat smiled and lead the way to the door that lead inside, then showed him down a hallway that lead to the kitchen. He gestured to the refrigerator as he made his way to the wall phone, next to which was a bar with a pad of paper and pencil. "You can help yourself to anything in the fridge if you like!"

"If you do that, then I can't promise you that you won't be on the wrong end of my fist," He said, being serious this time. Adrian followed Carlos into the kitchen and headed over to the fridge. He opened it and immedieatly went for a beer. The rat popped it open and took a sip. "That always hits the spot." He walked up behind Carlos and looked over his shoulder. "So, what time am I allowed here, if 3 am is unacceptable?" he asked in a whisper. No one can find out that he was being considerate to someone...except for Carlos, obviously.

Grr, that was no fun at all. He wouldn't be surprised though, if that were to happen. Adrian was just that type. "Do me a favor and never buy yourself a gun," the unicat murmured, feeling a little green. Watching him pull out a beer, Carlos grinned. "You can thank my dad for that one, he always keeps it stocked..." He had gone back to writing his number, cell first, then home phone, and glanced up at Adrian with ears perked in mild surprise. He was blushing faintly. "Well... if you came earlier, you'd be able to stay longer, wouldn't you..." He pulled the paper free of the pad and offered it to him with a small smile.
