((It's Bruno, not Byron. xd ))
"'Eah, summat like 'at. Sign y'name 'ea, and 'eah."
Meanwhile, Myles Million arrives, having taxied the craft across the landing field under electric power, with the blades collapsed and ready for storage.

With Penelope in tow, Elliot walked round the ship, showing her all parts of it; the engine rooms, living quarters, the bridge, fire control rooms, observation deck, and so forth, ending with the galley/bar. He turned to her, and beckoned her inside.
"And here is the galley, or bar, depending on whether you prefer food or poison. Behind that door there you shall find the kicthens, in which you now have free reign. However, I must leave you to it from here, I have business to attend to I'm afarid."
With that and no more of a word, he left, going back up on deck, and off the ship entirely. In passing, he made a few words to the captain of his departure, saying he would be back in "a few days or so"

"take care Elliott," Daniel says as Eli turns and heads down the dock.
To the deliveryman he takes out a pen and scribes his name in the appropriate spots. Hearing a vehicle approach he turns to see myles taxi his auto gyro to a stop. Must not be steam powered, as it was way too quiet. "oh yah, it runs on alcohol"
"Wow that was fast," Daniel says to himself. "Things a beauty too"

Penelope followed Mr Elliot, listening carefully as he explained the rooms and looking around. She knew she would get turned around easily even with the tour, and determined to learn her way around better as time went on. As he described the galley, Penelope paced around the room. He was already ot the door before she called, "Thank you, again."
Now alone, Penelope took a better look around the galley. It was a good sized room, able to hold a crew bigger than they currently had, and fairly clean. There were long tables placed around the room, about five or six of them in all; two large windows, currently covered, hid the bar and the kitchen, respectively, with a door beside the one that must lead to the kitchen. After finding the broom closet hidden in the wall, the door designed like the paneling to be more discreet, Penelope went into the kitchen.
The kitchen was small, but obviously well stocked. She smiled and leaned against the counter, looking around and enjoying being inside a kitchen again before doing anything. Then, after a few minutes, she looked through the cabinets for tools and the pantry for the food for a quick inventory. Later, she decided, she would make a list of everything so it would be easier to find.
After looking through everything, Penelope opened the window into the galley and leaned on the counter again, grinning.

"but that is what an airship does best!" Daniel grins back. "Just move her toward the front bow. The Khaos has a grapple arm and lift cage that should be able to just pick up the Rocinante and bring her in the hanger."
To the Deliveryman, "lets get those crates unloaded eh?" He approaches one of the steam carts, and lifts a crate out. "ERG, these are a tad heavier than i tought they would be..."

Daniel proceeds (albeit more carefully) to unload the crates from the carts to the Khoas' deck.
He thanks the deliveryman "Did Ms. Bruno send any other cargo?"

"Naw, 'atsit guv." He tips his hat and drives off.
Meanwhile, Myles has just finished observing the loading of his craft into the hold.

Penelope had fallen asleep on the counter and jerked awake as her knees gave out and she fell on the floor. She stood quickly, glad that no one had seen, and brushed herself off. "I should find a room..."
After making sure all was in order in the kitchen, again, Penelope found her way into the corridor again and set to wandering around in hopes of finding the crews' quarters. Mr Elliot had shown her where they were, but she could not seem to remember.

Daniel takes note of the sun, "It's getting dark, Hey Myles, could you make sure Penelope is settled for me? crew cabins are on the third level down from the deck. I have a quick errand to run before the shop closes."
Daniel retrieves a cart from the Khaos, and heads down the dock toward the shopping district.

"Aye Cap'n" He turns to the ship, then notices the last of the unloaded crates that haven't yet been moved on board. There's something oddly familiar about the mark branded into the wood on the upper corner of them. He walks up to it, and reaches out to touch it. He pauses a moment, then stops and shakes his head.
He then goes to the ship and looks around the corridors until he finds a girl wandering. "Are you Penelope? Captain Daniel sent me to make sure you get settled in the crew cabins on the third level down."

Daniel trots into the Anacronism's Shopping district cog, pulling the cart behind him like a rickshaw.* After a few minutes he spots the shop he was searching for. After making his purchases (and using a good portion of his savings) he sets out for his ship with his cart piled with various sized cans.
as Daniel leaves the shopping cog, he is confronted by a group of roughs loitering between the better lit districts.
"ell' wot di we 'ave 'ere?" One of them sneers, the long feather in his cap suggests him to be the leader of this gang. He carried a large cudgel with a cable running to a pack at his hip. "Seems ta mi, a clanky 'as come ta gives us sumpin."
Daniel rolled his eyes, this guy needed serious grammar school. He eyed the group carefully. He had had experience with people like this after his first change into steamtech. seemed this group was stupid enough to take him for a clank. "Pardon me good sir, but you must excuse me, Im rather busy."
"oi reeeeeeely? Looki thar blokes, ist one thems clanky men! all flesh an bolts. les' all gives the freek a wurm velcome." The rotting teeth made the nasty ones grin a horror. His five partners grinned too, and pulled out stun clubs and/or daggers.
"Brigands eh?" Daniel thought to himself, "Good, if they try anything i can't get in trouble for pounding them!"
Sure enough the leader roared and the gang attacked. Daniels grin out matched the gangsters by far. With surprising speed for all the metal in his body, Daniel ducks the first swipe and lashes out with a mule kick to cart and slams it into the tough behind him. Using his wings to block from the sides and dodging a dagger thrust to the face, he grabs another toughs arm and throws him into two more, who smash through a brick wall... across the street. "DAAAANG!" Daniel thinks in shock, "got a bit stronger I'd say."
The last tough and the leader stare at the hole in the wall. Daniel realizes he still has the cannon Elliott made. He had placed it in a loop on his belt since he forgot to leave it with the ship. He draws it out, holding it with one hand at his attackers face.
the leader's eyes go wide as he looks down the barrel "eeep..... Run lads!!" The leader shouts and the two hotfoot it out of there.
Daniel holsters the empty weapon, "Well that was fun." He whistles to himself as he heads back to the Khaos.
*Rickshaws (or rickshas) are a mode of human-powered transport: a runner draws a two-wheeled cart which seats one or two persons. (wikipedia)

By the time Daniel returns to the Khaos, the sun has gone down and the gas lamps have been lit. He sets down the cart and begins to unload his items.
"if i get his all finished up tonight, it will be a neat surprise for the others in the morning,"
HE starts up his wings, they extend a few feet out and unfold. They begin to flap, not so much like a birds wings but more insect fashion. The wings create a buzzing sound but it was not overly loud and would not attract attention(as much as a flying person could go unnoticed that is)
He grabs a bucket and brush and gets to work, darting all over the hull of the Khaos. "when i finish here the balloons are next." Daniel grins, "been a pleasant evening for a pleasant day!" his goggles allow him to see just as easily as if it were day, though Daniel does not notice.
He works far into the night.

And there on the loading dock is a chest. A simple rectangular metal chest of steel panels with brass corner guards and rivets. It bears the same mark as was on the clank crates. It must have gone unnoticed during the unloading of crates and left out after the crates were moved into the hold. That is, after all, the most logical explanation for its presence there, isn't it?

As the sun began cresting over the horizon Daniel finished and stepped back to admire his work. The Khaos now had regained most of her former glory. the balloons and hull had been repainted and she truly looked like an airship again. The former military emblem on the balloons had been painted over with a winged cog, the symbol of the Anacronism guild.
As Daniel began to put away the empty cans from the dye and paint, he trips over the unnoticed box. The metal chest skitters across the decking and teeters on the brink of the dock. The crest flashes briefly and the box tumbles off the edge.
"Sweat mother of....!!" Dan cries as he immediately recognizes the crest from the other crates "that must me Ms. Bruno's crate!!!"
He drops everything and dives off the dock after the chest. Plummeting headlong toward the ground, wings buzzing at top speed, in hopes of catching up with it. "all most.. have it" Daniel grunts. he finally manages to snag the crate, only to find the "ground fast approaching.
"PULL UP DAN! PULL UP!!!" wrenching his body around he manages to avoid plastering himself across the earth, but cant pull up in time to avoid the grove of trees.
"Eeep" ------ A little while later Daniel can be seen walking across the airship dock, metal crate under one arm. The other was rather mangled and in desperate need of repairs. the panels of his wings have twigs and leaves wedged between them. Daniel ruffles the wings creating a scraping sound, and dislodges the debris.
