After a few more, Shisei made one more final struggle to touch let his nose and knee touch. Shisei was shaking as if his form was about to have a spasm. With one final push the tip of the cartilage made contact with the fabric of pants. He then released his arms from his chest and used his fingers to keep stable. He opened his mouth to take a well deserved breath. Through the last sit up the serpent youth had unknowingly held his breath during the time. Now that the trial was over, his body temperature was returning to normal. Shisei stared up into the night sky for a minute staring at the moon. He began to wonder what Yuki sensei and her family were up to now. Just what was conspiring in the Orochi village? Before anymore thoughts could be conceived, his nails in the bark loosened and his hold on the branch diminished. Shisei fell backwards from the branch and onto the floor. His head and neck fell first with the rest of his body following. Staring up into the night Shisei began to wonder another thought. “Why is it always my head…”

The moon was bright in the sky. It was gleaming like the drops of sweat on Shisei's skin. With that final pull up the serpent youth would call it a night. Both arms were sore, his abdomen hurt, and his head had taken too many collisions throughout the day. Anymore training would just be counter productive. He rose up from the floor dusting off the sweat and dirt. With a small yawn, Shisei could feel sandman was near sprinkling the sleeping dust upon his eyelids. The serpent youth groggily went back inside the lone household. Locking the door up. It was a weird feeling. It had been a long time since he slept in someone's house. Not small inn or stable from working all day for the owners. A quaint house with a family. One of the members with a closer link than Shisei cold have ever expected. Yet there was still a weird feeling. His body lay within the household, while the family was gone. A weird inverse, but whenever Ms. Yuki and family returned they would find the house in good condition. Shisei returned to his new room. He neatly folded his shirt and pants onto a chair. Pale hands made a quick note in a small book of today's events be the snake like child drifted off.

The rising dawn glow its orange light through Shisei’s window. The boy was always an early riser. At the same time he was also a late sleeper. It was perhaps one of the reasons his eyes had gotten dark rings around it. His slumber last night though was magnificent. The small frame had gotten used to sleeping on grassy land, but nothing felt better than some cotton sheets and a pillow. The boy would have slept longer if there was no school today. He thought of what class would be like today. Probably troublesome, because the little imp would have a superior look about her until Shisei managed to piledrive her face into concrete.

He arose in only his shorts. Staring at his clothes, the serpent youth realized he’d have to get them clean soon. That and also buy some more clothes. Returning back to civilization would mean he’d have to get some money. Acting civilized was one part, but one also needed the appearance. Once home from school today the youth would do some laundry. The child entered the upstairs bathroom. He pulled out his toiletries, quickly brushing his teeth and using some floss in between. A cloth was used next to wipe and give a little sparkle to the ring piercing in his ear and tongue. Then his form took a quick a shower. His hair was never a problem to keep dreaded. Years in the same knots kept his hair in that position. Whatever other purple threads grew instantly locked and formed another dread. His only problem was if he ever needed to ‘unlock’ them. Shiu had that incident once, because of bubble gum. That was not a pretty site or a happy day.

Finishing in the bathroom and clothes now on, the serpent boy went back into his room, placing his belongings in a safe place and then journeyed into the kitchen. He did was not sure of what he would be allowed to eat or whose food maybe whose. Instead he just opted to take out a few slices of bread and some milk. It would suffice for the day. During the night he’d ration out the leftovers from last nights dinner till the Tenmoki family returned.

Once the bread was devoured and milk consumed. It was time to begin the day fresh and early. The boy stepped outside in the lightening day. One could still see some stars in the sky. A part of the moon could also be seen, but was quickly fading away into the blue heavens. It looked like it was going to be a good day, but only time would tell. Class probably would not start for a while so it gave time for Kiketsu to multi task. He could view the island and get a good jog at the same time. He needed to build up on stamina anyways. Especially since the juggernaut dwarf from yesterday had ample stamina to keep on going. Black sandals stood within the street as the serpent youth peered left and right to see which direction to head off in.

[-loves experience- Thank you! ^^]

Shisei peered to his left. Then to his right. The path to the left seemed more interesting. Before his morning run could begin the boy had to do a quick stretch of the leg muscles. To make sure that no cramps would arise during the jog. He bent his left foot first up, till the his heel was touching at his lower back. The serpent youth then exchanged legs doing the next leg. He then bent his both knees till he was in a stooping position, but on the balls of his feet. Both legs then straightened out to side allowing for Shisei to do a split. He held each position for ten seconds before changing. Once his last stretch was finished the youth picked him self up and with a small brush of his hair he was off into one direction. His mind began to wonder some of the sites he may see journeying through the village.

The serpent youth began his run, leaving behind the house of Yuki sensei. His body trotted down the road, the sleeves of his shirt billowing in the wind and hiding his fingers. His eyes gazed around the path. The flowers had disappeared and many of most of the trees had lost their lush green hair. The coldest times of the year were now beginning to surface. Today held no cloud in the sky, but soon it soon wood. There was a previous flash storm before. During that time Shisei had made it into a mansion. That was also the last time he had seen the girl with freckles on her face. Perhaps he would see her on this early run. That or he could ask one of the students about her disappearance. Surely she is somewhere around. Shisei hurried onto the next part of the village.

An early sleep meant an early wake. When the sun began to lightly pour through the clean glass, amber orbs opened to welcome the rays. The specter colored child went through his usual morning activities. Activities that he hadn’t broken since the age of four. Only on the rare chance that his immune system failed for a moment and his organs caught a cold that the child may forgo these motions. He started off with a shower, then brushing his teeth, cleaning his ears, and making sure each of his dreads were perfect.

Once done his body moved to the lower part of the household. Quickly taking two slices of bread from the fridge, he rapidly devoured them and went outside. His mind had decided to get some quick morning exercise at the bamboo forest. Some interesting things could be done there.

[Enter from Kage's Office.]

Walking into the house through the back door, Aya walked in slowly. She didn't know if anyone was home or not. Seshiro and Sachiriku were gone... Ayumi was at the clinic with Tenko and Yuki was heading towards the village center. However, that did not account everyone in the Tenmoki house hold. There was still that new Orochi boy, Shisei. For a moment, Aya felt bad at how the boy would find out that he was now a lone Orochi in the village of Shimagakure and the homeland of his people was now destroyed. Aya won't be able to be the big sister she was hoping to be for Shisei, but she knew that Moma-Yuki would look after him like her own son. Not taking off her shoes, but wiping them off on the floor mat, so that she wouldn't track in dirt, Aya left her bag of scrolls next to the door before going up to her room to pack everything that she needed.

All the close she could fit would go into her backpack along with all her medical supplies and her little journal that she had been keeping. Her old journal had somehow been lost, so she had gotten a new one. She wished that she could've had kept one throughout her life, but now she was one number two. Aya left behind all her stuffed animals, her little trinkets from her childhood, but there was one thing that she grabbed. It was the kitsune masks that she had Kana had made during the festival. She hoped that Kana would grab his as well, so that when they went on missions, they would be able to keep their identities hidden which would help keep their actions on a low profile. Once she had her fancy clothes packed neatly, so they wouldn't get dirty on the trip, the little Tenmoki girl headed downstairs to get the scrolls she needed from the Tenmoki clan and her summoning scroll. Yuki had put the scroll down with the others to make sure it stayed safe. While gathering these scrolls, Aya made a promise that she would keep them safe and return them once she and Kana had rescued Ichi.

Aya knew that she was ready to go once she looked over all her supplies. Going back up the stairs, Aya took one deep breath and let the smell of jasmine tantalize her nostrils before she grabbed her other bag of scrolls and headed out the back door. She would go to a secluded area of the docks on the shoreline and leave her two large bags there before heading back to the village to gather some food for the journey. She would even stop at the rice farm and get some of Mai's delicious cooking before finding a boat and leaving. Taking the back paths once again, Aya would make her way to the next destination before continuing preparations.

The walk to the family of Tenmoki and Orochi seemed short. In actuality his stride took much longer than normal. This was because Shisei remained deep in thought through the travel back to his new household. His eyes and ears went on auto pilot, only used to avoid bumping into anyone. Both ears took in different comments from those passing by. The pale ears had heard the comment from the beetle teen. Something about not being distracted. Ironically the snake child was distracted by his own thoughts. There would be time to reflect on his words later. As with sly smile, there will be another time where the tall insect and little snake would meet. There also were other comments that Shisei heard from different villagers as he passed. They were whispers that the lone wanderer was not inexperienced to, but at the same time it was a rarity. Shisei was used to the comments of curiosity and unknown, making a boundary between him and others. These comments though, he had not heard since the time with his previous family. It happened around the time after his nails had stabbed that bully, Dai, in the throat. The look in the eyes when they gave small glances. The small mutterings. The feeling emanating from their body and souls. It was very similar. Shisei wasn’t just a curiosity in the village anymore. A baby snake, only centimeters long, may one day grow into an anaconda, one of the longest and largest reptiles in the world. A child mamba may not have much venom, but as an adult it is not only venomous, but aggressive. Two creatures one may find wonder in during its early stages of life, but once grown are a danger. The orochi child was beginning to see it. They were beginning to see him as a threat. For once during his time in the village, Shisei was beginning to wonder about his livelihood in Shimagakure…

The legs finally made it to the gate of the household. The snow falling slowly, pattering the ground and surroundings in an undisturbed white. Because the white lake had no foot prints the snake youth could deduce that nobody had returned. Perhaps the remaining family had come to dislike him after the mission? Not that the Orochi cared. Hate was natural. It was common. Unlike love, you couldn’t lie about hate. Still it would prove troublesome for the youth to gain any strength if all were against him. Even if he did just arrive in this new place, perhaps it was time to move somewhere else.

Violet dreads marched forth through the gate, allowing pale fingers to crack the door that had been closed for hours. Shisei didn’t bother to ask if anyone was home. That would just be stupid since he knew the answer already. The only thing that entered the house with him was the frosty air from outside. He closed the door behind him, checking the fridge quickly to see what else there was to devour. There was still a small bit of leftovers from before they left on the mission. The violet hair decided it would probably be better to save the food just in case no one was around to make dinner. Either that or there would be another meeting for udon tonight. The maverick decided to go sleep. He’d wake back up in the afternoon… hopefully. For now some rest was primary. He walked up stairs first passing by Aya’s room. “Tsk. Some 'big sister'.I wonder where she is…” The snake-like mind began to contemplate. She surprisingly returned from such a dangerous mission, yet the girl had not made an appearance. The only thing that could be deduced was that she stayed with her mother. The two probably at the hospital. Maybe a quick visit there would be necessary later.

Next the pale feet walked by Seshiro’s room. Well what was once his room. “Maybe I can get two rooms out of this situation.” the small viper thought bitterly. There was some curiosity was what the older snake left behind in his room. Especially if he was planning on betrayal from the beginning. Shisei allowed his clawed hand to grasp the doorknob, but nothing more. After ten seconds the palm slipped away from the knob. Whatever was Seshiro’s shall remain his. It was not any business of Shisei. The final destination was his room. There the child took off his vest, but stayed within the long sleeved shirt. The small frame hit the bed softly, with his face lying on the pillow.

“If Seshiro and this Sachiriku are alive, then including mother and Shiu that would make five left. Of course that is only an assumption. If all are dead then I am the last. The only one… but I alone will continue to exist. Not for the pride of the race or respect of family. Simply because I will not be stupid like the rest of them. That Raiken girl, Tanu-kun, Orika, Karite, the boy with the insects, that girl who fought Samehada… If I haven’t already exceeded beyond them, then I will surpass them all. Because if you’re strong you live, but if you’re weak you die. That is the connection, between winners and losers… life and death. That is the truth.”. Shisei allowed his thoughts to continue to circulate throughout his mind while writing in his sister’s diary. After that he fell into slumber.

Cling! Cling!

Cling! Cling!

Despite all that had occurred, Shisei was having a pleasurable dream. It would be the first one he had in a while. Yet he would not be able to enjoy it forever. The damn school bell had to start ringing. Such an obnoxious invention a bell is. It always rung when it was not needed or wanted. Its purpose was to be hated.

If the snake child was an unruly student, he would have pulled the covers further over his head and slept till dusk. Yet the scholarly and aristocratic tendencies would not allow him to stay in bed. Those inclinations not only made him get up to rush for school, but also to hastily perform all his regular morning activities of cleanliness. This would only make him later. “Because of that girl!”, Shisei thought as his toothbrush vigorously scrubbed against his fangs making the toothpaste foam around the corners of his mouth. The young viper looked like a crazed pitbull, but that was only for a second. Clothes went asunder and the child leaped into the shower. He’d finish wash his mouth in there. One minute and forty eight seconds later the child was out of the bath without the smell of bamboo. In the next two minutes and eight seconds, Shisei was not only dry, but dressed. Twelve seconds later the boy was out the door with a piece of bread rapidly disappearing between his jaws. He closed the door to the Tenmoki house when something caught him by surprised.

His facial expression did not appear shocked. It was slightly surprising. The Orochi maverick would have expected this two to three days later. “Hmm… well that was faster than expected. Cute too. They even got it hanging on both sides.”. On the door, smeared in ink, was a cross with a snake hanging across it. Of course the perpetrator probably did not know that was a flannel, which would ensure relief from a sickness, but the message was clear. Or maybe they did know and found the Orochi to be the sickness. In the end Shisei just shrugged his shoulders and darted off at an antelopes pace. It did not really bother him the indignations of the sign. What really annoyed him was that he would have to clean it when he returned from classes. After all a clean house had to be clean outside and inside.

The snake youth returned home to his household, in which he proclaimed it as. Considering that the snake on a cross was still smeared across the front of the door most likely meant that neither Tenmoki had returned home. Opening the door to the silent house only confirmed the situation. Silent as the dead. Shisei did not let it bother him. Once he took care of the two at the farmhouse he’d come back clean his door and begin to train his chakra so that he could master jutsu. The shinobi student rushed up to his room. Opening the door to his room he gazed through a few drawers. No it wasn’t there. Well then surely the elder snake of the house had some.

The same sanctity the snake youth had for Seshiro’s room had disappeared at this time. Pale fingers twisted the knob and Shisei marched through the room as if it was his. He looked past the poster on the wall and the small gifts given to previous Orochi until coming to a drawer. Opening it up the golden eyes finally found what they were looking for. A shuriken holster with five shuriken left. He was hoping to find something else more debilitating, but the five armaments would do. After all how much trouble could an energizer rabbit and a boy playing with a kitten be?

The silent snake closed the house behind him and continued towards the farm.

Yuki had awoken early this morning. She had all her papers sorted out and sitting in the dojo behind the house. Today was the day she was examining the new candidates for genin. Natamo should be arriving soon to help with the exams, but before then, she wanted to see Akiko off to her very first day in the Academy. "Akiko!" Yuki called up to the girl's room. "I've made you breakfast, honey!" Yuki shouted with her booming voice. The woman also went up to her sister's room and knocked on the door. "Nee-san, breakfast," the woman said a little more gently. Walking into the kitchen, Ayumi was already sitting in her seat, playing with an orange. Ayumi was now two years old and walking on her own with very little to say. "Ayumi, do you want me to peel the orange for you?" Yuki asked her daughter, but the little girl merely shook her head as she continued to roll it around on the table.

[Ha! I just realized that all the young Tenmoki children's names begin with "A": Aya, Akiko, Ayumi, Aski. That's so neat....]

Akiko awoke groggily at her aunt's beckoning. The night before, she went to bed early so she could get a fresh start in the morning. Yet, with all the excitement of youth, she just couldn't bring herself to fall asleep. So, she opened a scroll detailing the basics of chakra. She read it over and over again until she finally drifted to sleep, scroll still unfurled underneath her. When she woke up, she lifted her head slowly and let gravity peel the scroll from her face. Faint characters remained on her face, spelling out something entirely unintelligible. After about thirty seconds, the importance of that day hit her.

With that fire lit under her, she jumped out of bed and hurriedly began to change into some proper clothes. She chose a light, flowing dress in all the colors of dawn and a midnight-blue bow for her hair. Once she had tied everything off properly, she burst out of her room. On the way down to breakfast, she whisked past her mother, causing both of their dresses to flap about as they brushed together. She finally reached the dining room and took a moment to bow respectfully--and to catch her breath. Here we go, she thought to herself. She braced herself for the usual ritual, applying proper etiquette to every single motion. She didn't mind anymore--not like she used to. Still, it was always a production for her. "Thank you very much, Aunt Yuki," she stated softly, a tiny smile cracking her lips.

Yuki could hear the eager foot steps fly down to the kitchen and a dressed and anxious Akiko standing before her. "My, my, my!" Yuki stated to the girl as bowed towards her and thanked her for the food. "You're welcome, darling," Yuki said, her smile much bigger than Akiko's as she walked over to the girl. "You have ink on your face," Yuki said with a cherishable smile as she took a towel and began wiping off the stains on the young girl's face. "Up late studying?" Yuki asked the girl as she set the towel on the table. The teacher in the Tenmoki woman just wouldn't hold herself back as she sat down at the table. "What are the twelve hand seals of jutsu?" Yuki asked Akiko quickly, hoping to catch her off guard.

Karite was not very polite. Over the years his city boy manners had dwindled and he had become more like the wild Tategami he claimed to be. Walking in unannounced his skin glistening from the rather rough cleaning from the falls. Placing his staff at the door and hanging his weapons up. He had come accustom to now bringing his weapons into someone elses home. It was rather scary to some. Since the boy did not wear shoes he had no need to take them off, but he did wipe his feet. Walking in he saw Yuki-sensei and a girl he had not seen before. Smiling his signature cat like smile at both of them he began to speak. "Morning Yuki-sensei! I hope I am not to early. Kore and I had woken up early to squeeze in some training."

The boy had grown since first entering the academy under Misses Yuki-Sensei. The shirtless boy now sported two tattoo upon his chest. One the Shimagakure symbol of infinity and the other his own clan symbol of the Tategami. His cheek still sported the mark which Maya had placed. he held it proudly now. On his chest sat the scar from the shimada attack on his first day. His shoulder still sporting the rather intensive scar from his younger days. His silver eyes still looking of death and his long green hair had grown to be even longer now reaching down his back. Karite had turned into quite the Shinobi.
