As many of you may or may not have noticed, things have been going pretty well for everyone's favorite young Raiken so far, have they not? Well, as I am sure all of Kiba's little fanboys and fangirls are quite aware of by now Kiba never keeps a streak of good luck for long. It is no different now. Just as he felt that he was on the verge of making smoke what happens? Since they were all on the shoreline there was, of course, a crab nearby. And what happens to crabs on dark beaches? They get stepped on that is what! And what do crabs do when they get stepped on? They pinch of course! Well, this is precisely what happed! As Kiba repositioned his feet he stepped right ontop of a great crab and naturally its claws came crashing down on the young Raiken's right big toe. Why could ninjas not wear steal toed boots instead of sandals? Who knows. That is not important. What is important is that the crab sent the young Raiken reeling backwards in pain and onto the sand crying his favorite word: "DANG IT!!"

Kiba had been sitting on the sand with his sandal off massaging his big toe for wuite some time whimpering out "Dang it!" at intervals. Fortunately little more than the Raiken's pride had been truly injured by the vicious little crab who was now scuttling around victoriously. Kiba wondered wether or not he should whip out his kunai and finish the little crimson devil, but decided against it in the end, concluding that his time would be better spent on his training. He sighed and regained his feet. He once again made the familiar had sign of the ram and attempted to make smoke.

Maya trotted onto the shoreline, spotting the animal trainer and several students, along with Tomoko and some weird guy she'd never seen around Shimagakure before. She hesitated, narrowing her eyes. He seemed...wait, had she met him..? She wasn't sure...
Anyway, Maya found a large boulder near the animal trainer and far enough away to be comfortable from the training students and sat down, curling up with Baki on top of it and keeping a lookout for Ichi-sama-sensei. Baki, too, though agitated over having been awoken earlier, kept his ears and eyes alert for any sign of the 'pride leader'.

Kiba focuesd as well as he could and used all of the chakra that he had been building up in an attempt to maked slow. "In one..two...THREE!" Kiba counted as he prepared to try and make smoke. As he cried three a suddne great mushroom of smoke erupted from where the young Raiken stood. It was a bit larger and more conspicuous than the clouds of smoke most ninja created when using jutsu. In fact it looked kind of like a small nuclear bomb going off. This however, was not necessarilly a good thing since such a conspicuous cloud of smoke would likely give away his position to the enemy. Kiba did not care however, he was just proud that he had succeeded in making smoke! His pride, however, was quickly replaced by anxiety when he saw a girl on the beach with what he thought, even in the darkness, looked like a lion.

Tomoko squatted down in the sand watching her slaves practice the technique. She had gone back into her original form now and was getting excited as her first slave successfully learned the first step. "YAHOOO~!" Tomoko cheered as she jumped up into the air and danced around Kiba. "He did it! He did it! Tomoko's slaves are awesome too Naruru!~" Tomo said, pointing at the man who had moved away from them. "Slave-kun did well. Yes, yes! Very well," Tomoko said as if she were boasting FOR him. "Tomoko will train you more tomorrow!" she siad, slapping him on the back, her grin as wide as her jaw bone. "Slave-kun 2 is bad at henge! Learn faster for Tomoko!" the woman ordered Z with her hands on her hips.
Serena: +1 Genjutsu, +3 Experience + Henge technique. Right-o!
Kiba: +1 Intel, +5 experience. Make sure to list in your profile that you have completed Henge Training I.

Z shook his hair out of his eyes as the wind blew. He sighed lightly as he continued concentrating chakra. It felt as if the smoke was starting to come at least a little bit now. He couldn't see any actual smoke but it felt like it was beginning to seep from his body. He hardly noticed Serena leave. Z mumbled a bye and returned his focus to the task at hand. He continued focusing his chakra the same way he had been doing before as it was showing some results. He blinked his eyes lightly. Even though he had just woken up he felt a bit tired.

Z was brought out of his concentration when Kiba yelled out in pain. He looked around dazed for a moment as he tried to readjust to the darkness. He soon saw Kiba and a scuttling shape on the ground. Z almost giggled but knew he should get back to work. Z didn't notice Natamo or Maya at all. As Z held the hand sign and focused his chakra he got lost in thought. He almost jumped when he found himself surrounded by white smoke. For a moment he thought he had finally completed his goal but he was disappointed when he saw that the smoke originated from Kiba. He gritted his teeth even harder at Tomoko's comments. He was getting sick of Kiba always beating hima t everything.

"Hello, Natamo," the voice of Yuki was firm as she spoke to the woman who looked to be in another world at the moment. She looked around the shoreline to see that Maya and Naru were also there. Tenmoki found it a bit strange that Ichi and Sachiriku hadn't arrived yet since they were the leaders of this fearless mission. She was sure that Ichi was wrapping up from training the genins, so he would be a little late. Yuki was a bit exhausted from already being on a boat for the majority of the day since she had just made a trip to the tea country. Watching over the students, making dinner and all the other chores she had around the village had just worn her out a bit. Yuki would be sleeping for the majority of the boat ride and journey to the mainland. That was something she didn't doubt. Sitting down on a crate and sitting straight and proper, Yuki waited for everyone else to arrive.

"Ehuuuuuuuuuo~" Tomoko sighed as she watched her dark slave try again and fail horribly. "Tomoko doesn't want this one as a slave!" the woman said, pointing at the dark haired boy as she started walking away. "Tomoko's going home now!~ Slave-kun should do the same," Tomoko said, patting Kiba on the head as she walked past him and started dancing towards her little shack. "Bye, Naruru~ Don't die on Tomoko!" the woman cheered towards the Meho who as sitting by his lonesome waiting for everyone to gather for the special war. Tomoko was against killing people and Ichi had known this, so he hadn't even brought the idea up that Tomoko should come with. Tomoko didn't know this though, but she did whine to be with the Dark Flame on one of his adventures! "Tomoko's gonna eat~! Tomoko's gonna eat~!" the woman sang as she skipped down the shoreline towards the shack.

Kore bounded onto the sandy beach looking around noticing to many people he had never seen he shrunk back a little bumping into Karite's leg. He didn't know what to aspect of these people and he was not sure what the two leggers were capable of. Remembering that Baki was somewhere around here he began to search and found Maya. Hissing to grab the boys attention he began to run across the beach towards her. She had left him alone at the grounds and he wanted to know where she was going as well.
Karite arrived right behind the little cub and found it odd that so many people were here. Misses Yuki, Tomoko, Z, that creepy Naru guy and some others he had never meet before. Looking around he noticed Kore shot off into the beach. Not wanting Maya to kill him for losing one of her cubs he chased after the little guy. "Hey, what up little guy. I am not getting eaten by Baki cause you ran off." As he stopped he noticed Maya and Baki. "Oh there you guys are I was looking for you at the grounds but instead I found this little guy. He brought me here to you." Looking around in a 360 pattern he turned back to Maya. "Whats with the gathering so late at night? Is there a party going on?"

"Hey'o, Yuki-san," Natamo replied, blinking and clearing her head. Back to Shimagakure, away from the waves. She smiled at the medical ninja and thought for a moment about the work that she did. Yuki spent almost all of her time kicking a** in her own way - she kept the shinobi of the island healthy, along with the two nurses. Natamo frowned for a moment - she trained animals! - and then shrugged. Well, someone had to teach the genins and academy students how to handle their partners with efficiency and ease. She ran her hands through her hair and shot Yuki another smile. "What would you say of red, Yuki-san? I think black is getting a little boring." Natamo heard easily the small steps of a cub, and smiled as she remembered hearing something about new lion cubs at the Tategami grounds. Well, that would definitely bring her more students...at least one, anyway! She chuckled, and looked up at the sky, though still somewhat waiting on Yuki's answer.
Maya turned and spotted ... um ... what was his name again..? Maya furrowed her brow. She had met him at the last festival...oh, yea, Karite. She lifted herself from Baki's body and stood easily, not even dusting herself off. Sand wasn't even half as dirty as mud, and Maya was covered in ... well, some odd mixture of mud, dirt, and sand. Party..? "Mission, to the mainland," she answered, wondering why anyone would want to throw a party on the beach. She eyed Kore, though, and opened her mouth - Baki beat her to it. She gave a small smile as Baki 'took care of it', and turned back towards Karite, who had also fallen victim to Baki. "S'war. I'onno if Aunt Shuga is going...so you take care of Kore and Ruha. There should be food at the grounds, but I'm sure you can get someone like Prodo to help you with food." She, of course, was referring to the fat friendly bartender. Prodo was a very nice man, after all - he'd let them have a sumo contest once in the bar, which had been wickedly fun.
When Maya stood, Baki lunged to his feet and whipped out a paw towards Kore's body. The blow, like their wrestling match earlier, was pulled to cause no damage, but it still would sweep the cub off his feet. With a low growl, Baki scolded Kore for leaving the grounds without instruction from a Tategami clan member, though he wasn't blind to the fact that he had been helping this fellow...Baki looked up and realized just who it was. He stepped on my tail! With a growl, Baki pawed at Karite's legs too, hooking the boy behind the knees and pulling forward. With a satisfied look on his face, Baki plopped down on his rear end and yawned, then licked Kore's face and picked him up by the neck. Thinking about it for a minute, he shrugged and dropped the cub on Karite's fallen body, and sat looking at both of them rather smugly.

Kiba watched quietly as Z continued to train and Tomoko eventually left. After the Ha Ha ilsander had left Kiba's attention turned back towards the lion. This time, however, instead of feeling anxiety about the lion he was surprised by the increasing number of people he could see in the shadows. Kiba did not really want to intrude on them, but his curiosity was killing him. The young Raiken quietly crept a little closer, within earshot, and sat down in the sand. He was not particualrly well hidden, but since it was dark, he was sitting stil, and he was not doing anything suspicious he hoped that he might go unnoticed.

Maya, though smiling at Baki's antics, realized the lion was tired. He hadn't spotted ... Raiken, was it..? sneaking around the bushes. But then, Baki was reveling in his small victory over Kore and such. Maya chuckled, but turned her gaze momentarily towards Kiba, just so he'd know that she knew he was there. She didn't feel like doing anything about it though - it wasn't like he was going to be like Sorri and jump on Baki's back and try to ride the lion around. Speaking of...Maya hadn't apologized to Sorri for knocking him over in the library. She sighed, and turned her attention back towards Karite.

Baki, busy with his amusement, failed to notice the boy creeping around. It was alright though, Baki was a lion. In all reality it was highly unlikely anything would attack him, he was, after all, mighty king of the Tategami Grounds. A low rumble in his throat represented his own sort of lion laughter, and he leaned against Maya, almost pushing her over as he licked her face. When she sputtered and growled at him, he gave her an innocent look (that's funny huh?), and rubbed his head against her arm.

Kore looked up just in time to see a giant paw crashing down on him. Sending him off his feet a little. That was not expected but he did give Baki a scare when he arrived here all of a sudden. It was their responsibility to make sure he was safe and he would have been worried to if Ruha had come down her, but it wasn't all his fault this dark green haired music maker made him do it kind of. Looking up shaking off his fur Baki had somehow picked him up by the small fur and insensitive skin on his neck and tossed him on the boy who was known as Karite.
Karite looked at Maya as she answered they were going to war. Which gave him a look of shock and sadness blended together in one facial expression. His uncle had gone to war countless times and he always said that a warrior fought harder when they had something to come back to. He didn't know if Maya really cared about him and he just realized she said something about taking care of lions. Which was a big shock to him, but he was soon caught off guard as he went flat with the ground. Looking up Baki and knocked him straight onto his bum. "I guess your still a little sore about your tail. I am sorry about that." Looking towards Maya as lump was dropped onto his stomach. "So your going to war and you want me to take care of Kore and Ruha? Well ok, but only if you promise to wear one of my bracelets. That goes for you to Baki. That way you have to make sure and come back alive to return them to me." Karite didn't know if it worked but his uncle was still alive so there had to be some truth to it.

Maya blinked. A...bracelet? Her hand went to her throat, where she still wore the tattered choker that Seshiro had made for her during her first festival here. Baki's was hidden under his mane, and in the same condition. She had never thought anything of them before, especially since it was hard to ever even find Seshiro lately...she brought her attention back to Karite, and gave him a slightly odd look. Return them to him, huh? A small part of her said that this should be Xyn asking for her to return. She hadn't seen the boy or his raven in some time, and she curled her legs beneath her and studied Karite. With a small smile playing at the edges of her lips, she stuck her right hand out. "I'll wear it...but while I'm gone, you can't wear shoes." She said that with a grin - but Kore was taken with him. And...
Baki heard Karite, and shook his mane. Soon he'd have colorful decorations all over, and he would seem like a giant cat and not the fierce lion he was! At least the Orochi boy's gift was black, a strong color. What color would the bracelet be? Baki snorted and lifted his chin almost as if to say, Ain't no way, buddy! Not if it isn't a manly color! Baki was beginning to finally gain something of an ego that allowed him to be somewhat vain, though when it came down to it, his only concern was protecting Maya with everything he had. Though, she was having fun with Karite, so he wanted to, too!
