Basically, you said you hate Kikyou because she:
1) Is made of clay. Which she's NOT, she's made of dirt, because the witch resurrected her COMPLETELY OUT OF HER WILL. For your information, she wanted to STAY dead. Life was pretty painful for her. Stop being stupid. That's like hating someone because their skin has black genes or their eyes are made of brown-colored genes. What are they going to do about it? Stab their skin or gouge out their eyes? BEING MADE OUT OF CLAY...oh dear god. That is like, such a frikkin god da**** CRIME!!!!!!!!!one111!!!!one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) She gave the largest piece of the Shikon Jewel to Naraku because SHE HAS A PLAN. Someone could just as easily accuse the Inu-tachi of taking all the Shikon shards for themselves, right? But they're not, they're taking it before Naraku can get to the pieces and use them for his evil purposes. Well, she's GIVING him the Shikon Jewel because so far, the only way we know of to kill him is for him to have the WHOLE THING and then PURIFY it and him at the same time, so he goes POOF!
It's called PLANNING, STRATEGY, and maybe even HAVING A BRAIN. Thinking, you know?

3)STEALS souls. Guys, do you have ANY IDEA what we've done to this PLANET, because we have to live? People survived hundreds of years ago without cars and polluting the atmosphere; there was a lot more fish in the rivers, but people became greedy and now this whole earth if ******** up. Just because people want money. And people value things like clothes, nice big houses, and high status over lives. Well, Kikyou's not doing that. She just wants to LIVE, and her getting energy from souls happens BECAUSE THE WITCH MADE HER THAT WAY. The souls are DEAD, and its not like she's KILLING THEM, she's just using their energy because they don't need it anymore. WE (yes, ALL OF US) take a LOT more energy from things that actually do, but what the hell do we care as long as we can catch American Idol tomorrow?
Instead of comparing characters to other characters, why don't you start thinking about them as their own person as a whole, or compare them to YOURSELF before you start bashing them?

4)Backstabbed her lover. Ahem, ahem, cough, cough. After thinking InuYasha KILLED her village, and was USING her just to get the Shikon Jewel, she thought that HE was the one who backstabbed her and intended to get him before he KILLED her. People get pretty upset over things like, "My boyfriend flirted with another girl". Now, imagine if the case was, "My boyfriend attacked my hometown, and betrayed me because he was only using me to get more power"! Excuse me, she didn't BACKSTAB him. She was DECIEVED by Naraku (who, in case your memory has lapsed, pretended to be InuYasha), who's the real villain here, and decided to end it all before anymore harm and suffering was caused. She even decided to DIE just so she could BE with him, even after thinking he had betrayed her that deeply, she loved him so much.

5) Kikyou's not dead. I don't watch the anime so I don't know if that's the case there or not, but in the manga, the AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL version created by the ORIGINAL AUTHOR who FIRST CREATED BOTH KAGOME AND KIKYOU, Kikyou's death was faked by Naraku.

6) Quoting Sesshoumaruka: "Dead can't go For livivng, even though revived by black magic (tenseiga is a diffrent story)." Well sorry, but she's living. I don't know how, since amazingly I am not a black magic expert, but if you came back to life after a horrible first one, wouldn't you want to give it another shot? Or at least, get revenge on the one who caused a lot of suffering in your first life before you must die again and never get another chance? What do you think she'd do, kill herself because her living is "against morals"? Half of you wouldn't even turn yourself in for a TEST GRADE if you cheated. How can you expect her to do so when it concerns her life?


....And I should like Kagome because:
1)She's from my time! Guess what, if I met her at school today, I don't think I'd like her either. stare Just a little insinuation. It doesn't matter if I can relate to her when it comes to modern things like ramen, bicycles and such if I can't relate to her as a PERSON. How AM I supposed to: she's "not perfect", you might say, but clearly that was NOT Rumiko Takahashi's intention to make her come off as. Why else would she supposedly have "a pure heart of gold"?

2)Probably, I would scream for help. Of course. But after, I don't know, MONTHS of watching my friends get hurt in every way from getting a hole straight through their chest and having their entire families getting killed off and the only one left surviving under their enemy's control, I'd start to feel a little WEAK and HELPLESS compared to what they could endure and how well they could fight and HOLD THEIR OWN GROUND. I'd start to feel like I
needed to get STRONGER and TOUGHER, to not go screaming for help everytime something that anyone else besides me could deal with easily. I understand that at first, you'd feel weak and vulnerable. But after a while, wouldn't you get SICK of having to let your friends face all the danger? Wouldn't you feel pathetic YOURSELF when all you can do is run away, while they got shot straight through the heart and yet do not cry?

3) Kikyou has stupid drama? Kagome's the one who can't get over InuYasha despite the obvious NATURAL BARRIER that they live in different TIME PERIODS and that she can't go ditching her parents, friends, and everything that ties to where she naturally belongs, just to live in an UNREAL DREAM OF THE PAST? Kikyou was InuYasha's first love; as long as they've been together, you'd think Kagome would have the maturity to know that InuYasha has things more important than her to think about, and that he's off-limits?
Some say that she's "quietly accepted it". Then why does she go on screaming and slamming him into the ground, time after time and still even now, everytime he's even WORRIED about Kikyou? If Kikyou did that every time he worried and SAVED Kagome, he would truly be dead.

Open your eyes, if you want me to open mine. I've already tried, but its sort of useless when talking to people who start spouting out crap when they're trying to appear intelligent.

True enough about that, and Kagome has yet learn most of her priestess powers, soon it will end in rivalry (Kikyo will soon face Kagome, Which i reckon it will happen on the 4th movie and the hero of the story will choose.....who, shall he return to Kikyo or will it be Affections crossing through time?) Yes most ppl say it isn't good for Kagome to scream sit to Inuyasha but sometimes he deserves it and sometimes she needs to save the other lives of innocent ppl, if you don't understand, here is a pic of Inu-yasha everybody remembers, him in a very familier form: if he is till full demon, he'll die soon the few days, there is very few solid facts, right there... I reckon so, now i understand, kikyo wanted to stay dead, but that witch just made it more annoying, but since indifference setted a truce, i keep mine, and that should mean the Kagome bashing should go down too, i'm just sick and tired of people, sitting on their fat asses watching the show, despising Kagome cause of her personailty and other terms and not comparing Rumiko's ideas to life, so most of us gotta think, before we despise, whoever made this topic just raged a little war over here...and seemed to get too hasty over it, one question, why are you anti-kagome, Indifference?
