Minnesota Viking's Pro Bowl center Matt Birk, skipped work-outs.
He declined to state the reason, but his agent said it was'nt because of contract issues.

That's weird, because it looks like it might be to me. He is a great center, but underpaid compared to others of his class.

Yea very true.

Yep. I'm going to this game. I saw the teams they are playing...I've seen them play the Redskins before, but I was hoping that I could see them host the Seahawks or Steelers, who they play this upcoming season as well.

The Raiders' all time leader in kick returns and kick return yards. Would be bad for them to let him go, although they are pretty deep at cornerback.

Former NFL player, and All-Pro defensive back, Herb Rich has died. He was 79, and played for the Colts, Rams, and Giants. He won the NFL title game in 1956 with the New York Giants. He also returned kicks as well.

The NFL owners' meeting is tomorrow.

...Many topics will be voted on, and it should get interesting. Topics include banning long hair from covering the names and numbers on player jerseys, re-seeding the playoffs, video review for field goals, and video review for force outs on catches out-of-bounds.
