^^^ Favre video, made before retirement.^^^

In chronological order.

Saints sign CB Randall Gay (Patriots) on a contract worth $17.8 million and $6.9 million in gauranteed money. The first two years of the deal could pay Gay as much as $9 million.

Titans sign TE Alge Crumpler (Falcons) on a two year contract (money not disclosed). Crumpler was one of the Falcons most respected players and a leader in the locker room. He twice led the Falcons in receptions and had a streak of four consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2003-06.

Falcons agree to terms with RB Michael Turner (Chargers) on a six year contract worth $34.5 million and $15 million in gauranteed money.Turner, 5-10, 237 pounds, was a fifth round selection by the San Diego Chargers in the 2004 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the Chargers, he totaled 228 carries for 1,257 yards and six touchdowns while adding 71 receiving yards as he played behind perennial Pro Bowler and 2005 NFL MVP running back LaDainian Tomlinson. Turner has also accounted for three of San Diego's longest 11 rushes in team history (83, 74 and 73 yards) while boasting a 5.5 yards per carry career average.

Warrick Dunn was released by the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, one day after the club signed free agent Michael Turner. Dunn, who ran for 720 yards and four touchdowns this past season, spent six years with the Falcons. The 11-year NFL veteran became expendable after the signing of Turner, who was the backup to San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinsion.
A few teams have an eye on Dunn including the Inianapolis Colts.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who never seem to have enough quarterbacks, traded an undisclosed draft pick to the Chicago Bears for quarterback Brian Griese, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Griese joins a cluttered quarterback situation in Tampa Bay, where Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Bruce Gradkowski and Chris Simms are already on the roster. The Bucs also own the rights to retired quarterback Jake Plummer.

The contract is worth $102 million on paper, though Roethlisberger probably will never see much of that money, and is easily the largest given a player in the Steelers' 76-season history. Previously, safety Troy Polamalu's $30.19 million, four-year contract -- negotiated last summer and worth $15,375,000 in guaranteed money -- was the Steelers' gold standard.
The contract equals $12.8 million a year.

The Patriots and free agent wide receiver Randy Moss agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract on Monday, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

T.J. Duckett is heading to play for the Seattle Seahawks with a 5-year contract, the free agent running back told The Associated Press on Tuesday night.

After flirting with retirement for years, Brett Favre means it this time. The Green Bay Packers quarterback ended a 17-season career in which he dazzled fans with his grit, heart and rocket of an arm.
"I know I can still play, but it's like I told my wife, I'm just tired mentally. I'm just tired," Favre told ESPN's Chris Mortensen in a voice mail message.

The Oakland Raiders reached agreement with free-agent wide receiver Javon Walker on a stunning six-year, $55 million deal that includes $27 million in the first three years, including $16 million guaranteed, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

Patriots fans can finally let out that breath they've been holding on over the Moss situation. However I think the bads of this off season in the free agency market has damaged the Patriots more than helped. They still have Moss, but in return they lost Dante Stallworth, Randall Gay, and Asante Samuel. True last year most people raive about Brady and Moss, and their passing game will still be strong since they're keeping Wes Welker in the line up as well. But overall they need to do good in the draft and hope they can find good CB's or else the Bills, who experts are saying are improving phenominally this off season, might surpass them in the East next year.

Lol.
Sure.
But Antonio Cromartie's cousin is coming up and is said to be as good if not better than him.

This is really over-hyped...

...I mean...nobody knew about Antonio Cromartie. Those who did though he would become unsuccessful. He's had great success so far, and is one of the best defensive backs in the league.

...Cromartie's cousin is over-hyped, and that may hurt them in the end.

I agree, we really can't say if he is THAT good until we see him in action.

But his whole college career he had 14 picks.
And like 1 or 2 last season..
Idk about him.

...Super Bowl XLII Champions NY Giants had a few hard losses on defense during FA.

LB Kawika Mitchell to the Bills.

LB Reggie Torbor to the Dolphins.

FS Gbril Wilson to the Raiders.

...All starters and key defensive players for the Giants. The Giants just signed veteran safety Sammy Knight to a three year deal to fill the void for Wilson. Knight will most likely move to strong safety, with Butler moving to free safety. Mathias Kiwanuka should be back and ready to retain his position at linebacker, and Wilkinson is young and proven that he can compete. As of now, it seems that the giants need cornerbacks, maybe another safety, one more receiver, a linebacker or two, and youth at offensive line.

The Niners need a safety, a linebacker, receivers, and offensive linemen. I still have faith in Alex Smith. Lol. I still say we should have kept Mariucci.

I don't(Alex Smith is a horrid QB he seems to have like one year he is good and the year after that he has a bad year, replace him with Shaun Hill)

And on top of that, Michael Strahan is still contemplating retirement. The Giants may be without next season as well.

Yes, I was a big fan of Steve Mariucci. And wouldn't you know it, the 49ers haven't had a winning season since his departure. And I think the Detroit Lions treated him badly. He was rebuilding that team, showing improvements every season he was with them, but they wanted results immediately, and kicked him out the door with a big sign around his neck saying, "Scape Goat"

Only person to blame in Detroit is Matt Mullen.

Definately..
Speaking of Detriot, does anyone think Calvin Johnson will hit it off in the NFL?

Josh Johnson from San Diego. Last three years he has 113 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. I don't care what system you are in or what competition you play against that is impressive.

On the subject of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, he definitely has potential. At 6'1'' with a high jump of 38.5 inches and a 40 time of 4.3 he can stay with any fast or tall receiver in the league. He might have trouble against bigger, stronger receivers

Well, he's had what...? 3 different offensive coordinators. Hostler didn't do anything to help Smith at all. I mean, rate Norv Turner and Hostler, Norv is a 10. Hostler is a 1. Not gonna help the QB at all. I mean, Smith has shown improvement with the right coordinator and style. Martz should help Smith improve vastly. Especially with the spread offense he likes to run. Smith should feel right at home. Still we'll need receivers if we hope to run such an offense. Getting Bruce should help. If Jackson can play like he did in Seattle and we draft a good receiver, we should be good to go. Lol.

So... I'll believe in Smith for one more year.
