Pepsi So, what do you name your characters? I always name them different things every time I play, they're usually silly... I've never played and kept their actual names. It's so boring that way. They usually have themes (Types of food, filthy words, insults matching their personality, a word describing what they look like, etc...) but this time around there really isn't a theme at all... The game I've recently started I named: Cloud = Gomez, Barret = Boobies (tee hee), Tifa = Zsa Zsa (such a silly name), Aeris = Ovaries, Red XIII = Mildred. I plan on naming Yuffie = A male body part that I dare not mention, Vincent = Gor Gor (Yeah GWAR!), Cid = Bubbe, Cait Sith = Dogbert... And that's about it. when my dad played the game, he named his characters these names: Cloud: JERKWAD Barret: BUTTHEAD Tifa: TRUEDY Aeris: USELESS Nanaki: CRAZY CAT Yuffie: (can't remember) Cait Sith: FAT CAT Cid: OLD FART Vincent: VAVA VOOM here are some of my names when I first played FF7: Cloud: Hercules Tifa: Alys (From Phantasy Star IV) Cait Sith: Chessy (my old cat) Nanaki: TheRipper Yuffie: Mandy (it was my dad's idea)

I usually keep the default names, but I named Red XIII Nanaki once, since that's his real name anyway.

Aeris: Arielis
Tifa: Angel (dont know why)
Red XIII: Draco(My old dogs name), or same.
The rest i use their original names.

I name them based on how I feel at the time. One time I named every character bob. Another time I named them after people I knew at the time. Usually I just keep the default names because I cant think of anything at the moment sweatdrop

I like to keep the original because thats their name, but it is fun to make up names for them like duh, you, me, duphis, etc. it makes the game interesting.

I always keep their original names. And have you guys EVER noticed that in the past few FF games there has always been somebody that has a name related to the weather? For example:
VII - Cloud
VIII - Squall
IX - (didn't play sweatdrop )
X - Tidus (like tidal as in tidal wave...?)
Anybody else see that? Probably not.... sweatdrop
