Raistlin tilted his head lightly, a light bemused smile creeping across his maw. Then, after a few moments of contemplation nodded lightly. "Depending on how you progress, i will teach what i see fit" He said with a light non-commital shrug.
His ears flicked. And his attention turned to where Tia and Davey were. He had a nagging hunch others were going to join him. His golden ears flicked ever so slightly. How did the reclusive male feel about that? He was unsure. Should Brisote and Nenda strike out....again, he chuckled at the thought. He still had to determine if he respected Davey, more then he thirsted for power, for godhood. He would need to think about that, and for the time being, he still had only Brisote to teach.
Again, he turned his attention to the kit before, eager to learn. "In the beginning i only agree'd to be guardian to your sister. I'd never anticipated ending up with more then one of Davey's children under my tutelage." he mused, more aloud then to Brisote. He was, in his own way, testing the kit. Mentioning his sister. Nenda.
Nenda, tilted her head to the side lightly. As Shiva got excited about learning with Raistlin. She searched her sisters face, then nodded softly. "Aye Shiva." she too was glad to see her seemingly shy sister, break out of her shell. "Raistlin can teach ye. Would be good for ye i believe" she said with a light nod. Then, she turned to her parents, eyeing Davey for a moment, before nodding lightly at Tia. She knew her parents concerns, mostly Davey's. She knew of Raistlin's strive for power. Everyone in the household knew of the mages yearnings. Shifting her gaze back to her father, she nodded again. "Aye will go wit 'er fatha. I will keep an eye on dem both for ye" She said with a firm nod. She padded lightly over to her father, and gave him a nuzzle, then went over to Tia, and repeated the action. It was her way of showing her parents, not to worry. This being the same Nenda, that showed wisdom, beyond her age, and insight, perhaps even further.
The small female, watched her other sister, the one who'd said even less then Shiva. Another sister to watch over? She shrugged lightly. Only time would tell if this sister needed her as well. She brought her attention back to her father, as he set out for the Flying Dutchman. Before she followed, she whispered something to Besit, the small nightmare imp that Raistlin had left to be the messenger, and then returned to her fathers side.
Edited, shady had a brain fart and missed some posts ;_; woe is me. xD

Bristote had been excited when Rastlin said he would teach Brisote based in Brisote's progress, Brisote had no doubt that he would excel, but when Raistlin mentioned having only agreed to guard his sister it threw Brisote's hopes into doubt and he bristled in irritation at his sister, but he said nothing, trying to stay on Raistlin's good side. He knew Raistlin could do away with him (Brisote) right now, Raistlin had years of experience and practice over Brisote so it would be best to behave if e wanted to get anything out of Raistlin.
"At's mah girl'ah" he smiled at Nenda when she offered to watch over her siblings "yeh need tah watch out fer yer crew when yuh are captain, they look tuu yah, so yeh must be brave'ah and even if yeh doubt yeh judgment yeh can't show eet in the least'ah! And'ah if yeh plan on bein captain one day'ah yeh have to start at the bottom'ah and work your way up'ah, else yer crew wont be respectin yah" Davey stepped into a dingy that was waiting to take them to the Flying Dutchmen "Shall I show yeh the workings oh mah ship?"

Raistlin observed Brisote. He watched the subtle changes the kit unknowingly gave away. The mention of Nenda did get a reaction, if not a small one. He logged the information away, in the special storage of all things that would eventually be useful. He glanced behind Brisote, and a smirk grew along his maw, and a light chuckle came from him. "My thoughts strayed towards home, and now, home is here" he shook his head lightly. Seems his magical forest, had found him. Not that it was all that surprising. The forest moved of its own accord. But here in this place...it seemed to follow Raistlin. In all truth, the mage didnt mind too much. Was handy if he ever left anything at home.
Nenda nodded softly, smiling at her father. She liked his praise, it let her know she was on the right track. Not that doubt had ever been a problem for her. More re-assurance never hurt anyone though. She did tilt her head though. "Aye do nae doubt me judgement though. Should aye be dou'tin it?" she asked softly.

Brisote followed Raists line of site to behind him and saw how the woods had changed, they seemed far less inviting, and by no means could he travel through in his large form, not that he was entirely sure he wanted to travel in there in the first place, but if it was Raistlin's woods then he would be safe and there wasn't really much to worry about so he just looked at them with curriosity and interest. "Couldn't pick something more cheerful hu?" it wasn't mean to be rude, it wasn't really even directed at Raistlin, it was more of an off handed comment. Brisote turned his attention back to Raist, "can I have a woods too" why not be the master of land as well as sea?
Davey looked at Nenda a bit more seriously, it was not a harsh look, but a concerned one which said 'i love you but this is important so pay attention'. "Yeh need tah doubt yerself on ocsioin, no good being full of yourself and cocky, yeh get yuh and yer crew in danger that way'ah, ah little doubt is healthy, keeps yeah in check, now come on in the dingy, lets get aboard'ah the Flying Duchman'ah"

Raistlin tilted his head softly. And then realized Brisote had no knowledge of the trials of Krynn. " The Shoikan Grove, is the guardian woods of the Tower of High Sorcery. A bonus to being the Master of Past and Present" he said with a light smirk.
He eyed Brisote with a quirked brow. "I doubt that" Altho, in truth he did not know what this world held, perhaps he could. But he knew for a fact, Shoikan groves, were not common. Since there was only one Shoikan grove. And it was his. And since he wasnt ready to give it up, he'd remain the master of past and present.
Nenda tilted her head again. Watching Davey, listening to his words, and storing them away. So..it was ok to doubt yourself? She wondered if her mother doubted anything. She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She stepped onto the dingy. Sitting patiently by her fathers side, her eyes going to the sea's, and the sky.

"Oh" was all brisote had to say on the matter, no matter anyway, the sea was larger than some creepy forest and it was much prettier, not that looks were important, but its much easier to relax if the place is easy on the eyes. He looked to Raistlin quietly, he hoped for more lessons and didn't want to interrupt. To be the master of past and present he must be very powerful and know an awful lot, so there but be quite a bit brisote can be taught
((gonna wait on davey responce to see if others follow))

Raistlin nodded his head lightly. His hourglass orbs shifting towards the ocean. A few minutes later, the purple swirled nightmare imp, came scurrying over the hill. A small bundle of energy, and power. It tilted its head, watching Brisote, before hurrying to Raistlin's side. It chirped and clicked, telling the mage things, only the mage could understand. Raistlin nodded, and turned his attention back to Brisote. "I've decided, you will be treated as an apprentice." he said with a note of finality. "You will do menial tasks. But as rewards, you will gain information. It is the same treatment your sisters will get"' he paused lightly, a smirk behind his cowl. "Well, almost" he added.

"almost?" brisote wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing, was he getting treated better than her or worse? It made him uneasy, as a boy he should clearly be treated with more respect and privlage than his sister, they were the weaker sex after all, but things hadn't been going that way and he didn't like it. Perhaps they were trying to make her feel better about being a female by giving her things that they knew as a man he could easily attain? Yes that must be it, his poor weak sister.

Shiva watched all this and wondered what Raistlin meant. It didn't sound like he had been asked yet so she could only assume that he was speaking about the sister that happened to have arrived with him, rather than herself.
Tia may have been the goddess off the sea, but she stayed on dry land for a reason. It was stable. Though she hadn't been out to sea for ages and the idea appealed to her especially now that they had young to show the ways of their worlds. "Come along kids. To the ship." she called, striding onto the small boat with Davey.
Shiva didn't want to be left behind, so she followed her parents hoping that all the others would follow.

Raistlin, tilted his head to the side, watching Brisote for a moment, before turning his attention past the kit, to the Shoikan woods. It was a good thing for the kit, that Raistlin was not tuned in to the kits thoughts. In his experiance, women could be quiet powerful. Takhisis, was a women, and more powerful then the mage liked to admit, or remember. He stood, his red robes rustling. "Come, i must fetch something from my tower" he said, as he headed towards the dark and gloomy woods. The nightmare imp, Besit, followed obediently at his side, cackling every now and again, at something only the imp could hear.
Nenda, tilted her head to the side, listening to her parents. Her attention turned to Shiva, the sister she saught to protect. Her tails swayed, side to side, and the waves behind her, rolled in time with the swaying.

"That all of us-ah then? ... didn't we have-ah four children Calipso? Where is the oth-ah?" Davey did not like tardyness, a good ship was a tight ship, things had to run smoothly, they had no time to wait for stragglers "Well if she can't keep up she'll be left behind-ah" He rowed the dingy out to the Dutchman and help the others on board before getting on deck himself. "Cap'n on deck-ah!" The crew had been playing cards, drinking, joking around, or otherwise not doing their jobs but as soon as Davey made the call they all stood up and awaited their orders. "don jest be standing there your scabbery dogs!! Yeh know your jobs-ah geet tah work!!" aye aye captain they all called and scurried around to tend to the ship. Davey then went to his place by the wheel and began to point thing out to his family. "if yeh are tah run or work on ah ship yah need ta know her parts. Lengthwise direction on a ship is fore and aft. Crosswise is athwartships. The front of the ship is the bow, the rearmost is the stern, To move forward toward the bow is to go forward, and to move toward the stern is to go aft." He paused for a moment letting the kits take it in and try to remember then he continued. "A ship is divided lengthwise in half by the centerline. When you face forward everything to your right is starboard and everything to your left is port. Yeh never go downstairs in a ship, yeh go below. To go up is to go topside. But if yeh climb the mast, stacks, rigging or any other area above the highest solid structure, you are going aloft." He paused again to let them get their bearings straight. "The hull is the supporting body of a ship, the outer walls, the keel is the backbone of the ship. Everything is connected either directly or indirectly to the keel." He looked to his children to be sure they understood or see if they had questions

Narwhal remained quiet as she sat in the background to observe. She hopped onboard the dingy when instructed, not wanting to be left behind either. She sat on her haunches, seeming curious as her father rowed the boat out to the larger one.
"So big..." She said timidly as they approached the Dutchman. Once on board, she began to sniff curiously, although stayed close to her siblings as she didn't want to get in trouble. She felt a sense of calm on the water. Part of her instincts told her that this was right, and correct. Like she was meant to be here...
When her father spoke, she nodded silently, pointed ears high and attentive. He seemed to know so much... she would be sure to pay extra attention and learn. She grinned once he had stopped talking, and raised a paw as if to ask a question.
"Will we be able to get ships of our own?" She grinned. "I think I'd like to be a pirate..." She said, tails wagging. "Arrrr!"

Davey looked down at Narwhal who had been quite quiet for a while, he smiled. "Aye if yeh work hard and learn all yeh can, yeh can be cap'n an have yeh own ship. But if ah pirate be all yeh looking for, even a scabberous dog like this one" he points to a sailor who was scrubbing the deck "can call 'imself a pirate-ah, tah be a Captain yeh have ta be one o the best-ah!" Davey pulls himself up to his full height proud of his station

Shiva watched her father and listened as he went over all the directions. She was certain she would never recall all that he was stating but she would at least try to. Her main goal wasn't to be a captain, she wanted to be at least learned in the ways of the family, but she would much rather work the potions that mother spoke of.
Tia sat and watched everyone scurry about and smiled. It was nice to see Davey in his true element; being a leader. She did however wonder if Bristole would be able to make it to the ship or if he was more interested in learning from Raistlin...

Davey paces in front of the kits eying them all up and down "Aye a good captain can take control in any situation an lead 'is men through like it we nuttin but a beautiful day out. It takes courage, strength, confidence, and a sense o presence! Now yeh youngins have the sea in yer blood from yer mother and meh an its a start but it wont be guarenteein you as pirates let alone Captain-ah! It stakes a strong back, strong will, courageous heart, and a sharp mind tah survive on the seas, she can me a cruel mistress and has claimed many unprepaired lives. Now-ah do yeh think yeh have what it takes tah sail on da high seas or are yeh gonna be a land lubber?!" the instant Davey finished the ship dove below the surface and sailed beneath the surface, surrounded by all sorts of sea life. "Aye aint she a beauty" Davey said of the sea, though he looked directly at Tia with a sort of look only she could provoke from him... a look of love and kindness. "The sea has much to offer yeh before yeh choose land over her, just be knowing what yeh be missing if yeh choose not ta sail-ah." He brought his attention back to the kits to see what their reactions would be.
