the figures move out away from you suddenly as you pass through the storm and into a pocket.

in front of you is just one of them, and he is staring strait at you. on his face is a mask, one side is white with a demonic smile, the other is just an angry eye revealing his mouth which is a stern flat line.

you see six of the figures form around behind him.

((he's about 15 feet away))
he laughs, "why, silly mortal, i am Cedric Strom, Lord of Shadow and soon to be lord of all creation."

he looks around then nodds,"this is nessesary, let me assure you. you respect nature much like i do, but in this, there cannot be any respect to anything... not while the pentagraphs are still floating around." he moves his arm out of his cloak that appears to be made of the same material as the shadows. he points stait behind you,"just think, if our enemy gets those pentagraphs, one of which is in that kingdom behind you, then it will kill all of us."
((the ground is barren where you know there was once plants))

he looks at you crossly, "you mean you didn't even find out what it was that the enemy wanted that they would kill everything to get it? maybe modern heroes aren't as smart as they used to be. but let me indulge you as much as someone in my possition will reveal to a possible enemy. the pentagryphs are 5 tiles, each enscribed with a pentagram, each also infused with over 10,000,000 magic runes, though good luch counting them all yourself. the pentagryphs by themselves are... basically useless alone, but they have unimaginable power. with them you could throw the whole multi-verse into chaos.... potentally irreversable chaos. i on the other hand, am planning on keeping them in the only place that the enemy cannot travel safely, which i am not free to indulge upon you the location of."

he moves his hand back under his cloak and turns his body so that only the right side of his mask, the part with the white evil clown, and he says,"now is there any other order of business that you wish to discuss, if not i am needed elsewhere."

he nods,"that would be what they are talking about. the humans know little of the true power that is in their hands. as for the next, it isn't that it should be destroyed, its that it must be destroyed. and as for the last, i would kill every living thing on this planet to stop them. what i do kills the animals and plants, but the soil is just fine. it will all grow back."

he turns back around to face you,"well, again you were not properly informed. the true enemy here is a thing called Hourne, and he is being led by a creature more feared than the gods, the Eraser Beast, Hioron'sempra."

his expression darkens,"i AM their enemy."

he turns back around, "because after what the ilithids did to me... humans refused to accept me as one of their own. Because the crumbling world these humans cling to is WRONG! in the end even if i leave those you serve will chase me. it is the life us Elans sometimes choose to lead."
