Hey...no. No. Just no.
Ok, children. It's time to calm down a bit.
People have different opinions about this. So I'm going to choose three general groups, and respond to each of them individually.
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BREAK THE VEIL: Go for it. But don't come crying to the guild (ie: the other two groups) if you get yourself hurt and/or in trouble and need a way out. Just be aware that there are some people who believe it's very powerful and just attempting could injure you and other people. Don't be stupid about it, but be logical.
PEOPLE WHO ARE SCARED AS ******** AND DON'T WANT TO BREAK IT: C'mon, guys. What are you flipping out over? If you think it's do goddamn powerful and dangerous, are a couple of teenagers going to be able to crowd into a small room filled with incense and candles and break it? Do you really think so? And even if they could, you get to be the one who does the "I told you so" dance when they ******** up the world. So stop arguing with them. You're not going to scare them into not doing it.
PEOPLE WHO DON'T GIVE A ********>: Continue being awesome, sit back, and laugh at the people who are going to have an aneurism. Apathy, FTW.
Oh, and Fluffy, that was probably a quote you read from one of my posts, because I use it all the damn time. But it's originally from Fight Club which is an amazing book (and even more amazing movie).

I think you need to add a fourth group because I'm not 'scared' since it might not even exist. I just think that if it does breaking it is not within their rights to do.

KilledbyKarma I think you need to add a fourth group because I'm not 'scared' since it might not even exist. I just think that if it does breaking it is not within their rights to do. You may not be "scared" for your own life, but you're scared for the lives of the people around you. And, what's more, you're scared of someone taking away your ability to make your own decisions. Being worried about someone making a decision that could affect everyone IS being scared of taking away free will. No fourth group needed. Plus, if you can generalize, so can I.

Before I begin: 1. I agree with Obscurus' theory on the veil. 2. I agree with just about everything that Mitsh said in this thread. KilledbyKarma Yes but it still isn't ethical to try to make such a decision for an entire plan of existence. Who gives two flying ******** about ethics? o.0... KilledbyKarma And yes I TOTALLY condone ripping apart something no one understands possibly causing damage to the lives of billions to 'make it more exciting'. The morals of bored people astound me. Maybe wreaking complete chaos and destruction or chaos and creation (depending on how you look at it) is part of the plan? Sounds fun to me. fluffysteel2 EDIT: yes, they are curse words. if anyone finds them offense, ill take them out. No you will NOT! If people offended by words they can get the ******** out of the internet, and if thats not good enough they can shoot themselves so they can't hear the curse words raping their poor virgin ears.....Or...they can use Gaia's built-in filter system. So ******** ******** ******** ******** ********. =D

Double post? Aside from the bracket part at the end of the second one...
Ok, my magical guess at what is one fluffys dresser, a green genie bottle, and inside is the genie of flatulant wishes. Any wish he grants is the result of his magical...gas.
Like the Family Guy version of how the big bang was god lighting one onfire. This seems a bit lewd for what I consider conversation.

I use psi not magick. I can't scry. Plus I'm pretty sure I'd need some extra stuff to scry in the first place.
And I never said I was 'super special awesome'. I just apparently think clearer than people who think they can make decisions they have no right to make.

I just apparently think clearer than people who think they can make decisions they have no right to make. People make decisions they have no right to make every day. One of the many plagues of being human is that you have to deal with people doing stupid s**t. I doubt you're going to convince anyone that they shouldn't do it. You're just antagonizing people with your "I just apparently think clearer than..." That, along with many things you've said, is something you have no right to say. And don't pull that first amendment s**t on me. Because if you're going to compare what they're doing to what Hitler does, I'm going to compare your use of the first amendment to something like what NAMBLA uses the first amendment for. Or those Neo-Nazi groups. Then you're not better than some Nazi skinhead. And you don't want to be reduced to that, now do you?

KilledbyKarma And I never said I was 'super special awesome'. I just apparently think clearer than people who think they can make decisions they have no right to make. Yet, that only based on someone own value. One might think it is right to do something while others might not.. So thinking clearer doesn't have much to do with it. From my point of vue, I have all the right in the world to play with the Veil as it belong to no one, as long as it isn't for going against other people's rights.

Ignoring predispositions to certain values from a given society one lives in, I have this to say on that matter.
"We do what we must because we can."

For the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead. But there's no sense crying over every mistake - you just keep on trying until you run out of cake. I must say how scary it is that Portal quotes pop up so much here. It's hard to /not/ think of MPRILC as a weird Aperture Science offshoot or something. Aperture Magick, I guess.
