(( Switching post colors >w
Jaeden eased out of her clothing carefully and placed them neatly on the banks of the springs, she then unwrapped the saturated cloth around her wound. "Ugh...." Her entire side was a vivid violet from the bruise around the deep gash in her side. She could just barely decipher traces of pink deep inside the wound which Jaeden guessed were her own muscle tissue. "Atleast it doesn't hurt as much." She grumbled as she vigilantly placed herself into the hot waters below. On contact with her cut, the water tinged pink with blood around her side," Oooh that feels good." She sighed as she reclined in the steaming water, resting her head on a mossy rock. Jaeden closed her eyes and she felt the remaining pain in her side melt at away. "At this rate i'll be better in no time." She added as a grin curled upon her lips.
Within moments Jaeden drifted off to sleep only to be awoken an hour later. Jeaden's head was slowly slipping off the rock she had been resting on and then finally with a gurgle she slipped beneath the water and awoke choking and sputtering. "Ah! D-damnit!" She swore between coughs as she stood up. Her long mass of hair clinging to her shoulders and backside like a waterfall of silver. Jaeden glanced over at her pile of clothing sitting tidily on the waters edge. Her clothing was repulsive; Torn to scantly bloodstained shambles. "I've got to get some new clothes." She sighed as she scopped up the solid clothes," The least I can do is wash them for now." Jaeden murmurred as she dipped her outfit into the water and began to vigorously scrub at the bloodstains. All the while Jaeden was oblivious that the pain in her side had totally relinquished.

((YAAAAY! *Hugs* And guess what! I updated Mikaril's journal; the link for ths RP is there, and some of his family actually have names now. XD))
Mikaril finished his soaking quickly and climbed out, where he carefully peeled off his shirt and sat there naked to the waist, his fingers moving over his body's small muscles, feeling the tender spots where the hook horror's hard shell was sure to leave a few nice bruises. He let the cloak and hood drip-dry; he had done it hundreds of times before, and he figured the cloak would stand up to hundreds of drip-dries if it was an elf cloak; after all they had 'rains' all the time, where water fell from nowhere. He shivered at the thought and gathered his armor pieces up, then he walked over to where he had seen Jaeden resting. Once he saw her, he stopped at a respectable distance so that he wouldn't see anything that wasn't any of his business, and waited for her to finish. His thoughts wandered as he waited. They had sure done a bang-up job (literally) of taking care of themselves and he hadn't even found a trace of his brother or the group. Just a pissed off hook horror. And by now his mother probably knew that he was too long overdue for a simple thieving mission and he would no doubt face some 'family time' with his sadistic sister when he returned home. This sure hadn't been his day. He heard Jaeden suddenly sputter and he peered through the steam anxiously. When he saw that she was alright, and upon hearing her grumbling about her clothes, he actually laughed out loud. "Well we DID just have a battle. If you want your clothes to be intact, either get armor or get some indestructible clothes." XD

(( I just read your signature! Are you really engaged? ;w; Aww how sweet <333 And i'll check out his journal too :3 ))
Jaeden blinked momentarily as she ceased washing her clothes," Well, ya' know what? It's the only outfit I have and normally I don't expect to walk into a damn Hook Horror and-" She paused for a moment, turned, and peered from behind a boulder at Mikaril who was just a few feet away," What are you doing over here? Perv." She half laughed half shouted. Though she really didn't mind if anyone say her naked because there wasn't much to look at. Her figure was so petite; her breasts were what you would call average, and her hips weren't very wide, but she did take pride in her flat stomach but that was all.
Jaeden fell silent and then snatched up her clothes that was leisurely floating on the surface of the water and began to scrub again," Hmmm, what do you think?" She said as she swung her outfit around and slapped it against a boulder," Can you still see the bloodstains?" She glanced from Mikaril, catching his crimson gaze for just a brief moment, then to her sodden clothes. "I can barely see the stains but I want your opinion. But I Guess it doesn't really matter though since I plan to take my outfit to a tailor in the next town." Jaeden giggled," I also need to get some new underwear...my other pair has a rip in the b-...Uh! You don't need to know where." She quickly caught herself as she began to wring out the water in her hair. "Oh! And my wound has started to close up nicely thanks to the springs." The injury at her side had a thin layer of new skin over the wound."Though it still hurts just a bit, i'll just have to be extra careful not to rip it open." She added as she pulled herself up out of the water and sat on bank while paddling her feet playfully. Clearly visable, another scar just opposite of her newly acquired cut twisted like a long fish hook around her her waist, reaching towards her lower back.

((Yush I am! 8D))
Mikaril smiled wider and held his arms out disarmingly. "Hey, I didn't expect it either. Contingencies, you know." He nearly fell over at Jaeden's laughing shout and was caught off guard enough to actually poke his tongue out at her and retort. "Making sure YOU don't fall asleep and drown, you female." He grimaced and promptly bit his tongue, wishing he could take it back. His train of thought jumped onto the same track Jaeden's was on, and he glanced critically down at his skinny frame, lacking the muscle of his brothers. He never cared for muscle, but he couldn't help but notice how dramatic the difference was. Happy to bring his thoughts back down to the ground, he peered closer at Jaeden's soaked clothes. "Just a little, but that's to be expected; bloodstains are harder to get out than most other stains." He supressed a grin and pretended he hadn't heard Jaeden go on about her underclothes, but as he looked over at Jaeden's wound, he did a double-take and tried hard not to stare. He finally tore his eyes away and fussed with a clasp on part of his armor. How in Lolth did that grow new skin this fast? Is she some kind of advanced being? Is she even a drow? That would definitely explain why she acts so different from other females.....but she could also have drunk a healing potion or put something in the hot spring water. And how she had waved off his ears like they were no big deal....There was just no way to know for sure. He made a frustrated face and began to put his armor back on.

(( Awww how sweet ;w; Are you planning your wedding yet? <3 ))
Jaeden flashed a seductive little smile and laughed airily," This female is a bit of a dip-s**t when she's tired." She glanced over her shoulder at Mikaril and made a circular motion with her pointer finger in mid-air, commanding him to turn around while she dressed. "Ya' know," Jaeden began as she slipped the unstained undershirt of her outfit on," I think this spring has some special healing abilities." She next shimmied into the other half of her outfit; The stained half which lncluded the stomacher, skirt, and sleeves.
"I mean, my wound is almost completely healed over. It's crazy! What about your wounds? I know you got banged up pretty badly. How do you feel now?" Jaeden asked as she began to comb through her long shimmering waterfall of silver hair with her fingers then, twisted her hair and secured it into a bun with a piece of ripped cloth she had used as a bandage earlier. " It may sound crazy but i'm going to store a bit of this water for later." She reached over and snatched up her rucksack by the strap that lay on the ground and began to fish through it until she wretched out an empty glass vile the size of her palm. "It's not much but if this water does have healing powers then atleast we'll have something to use." Jaeden knelt before the burbling spring and scooped some water into the vile then corked it. She stood up and beamed brightly at Mikaril," Well, let's get going! We'll never find your brother at this rate."
(( I just made her injury heal quickly because I didn't want her to be wounded for a long time <_<;; Annnnnnd another plot twist would be nice -nods- =3 ))

((I figured with her specific mixed blood she would have the means to heal faster than usual. Maybe I should have asked for clarification. *Smacks self* XD Still, Mikaril doesn't know about Jaeden's heritage, so he has to come up with his own explanation for the super-heal. =3 We're planning, but with the price of gas eating any money we might be saving for the wedding, it could be a while. ;_; *Mock-pouts* Fine, but next time it's your turn to twist the plot. >=D))
Jaeden's flirty smile made Mikaril fidget uncomfortably and when he discovered that he had been trying to fasten a leg guard on one of his arms, he was grateful for the distraction of unfastening it and setting it right. He looked up at Jaeden's next words and shrugged. "I don't really feel any different. If there ARE healing minerals in that water, maybe it only works on open wounds. Still, I guess taking some wouldn't hurt." He kept his suspicions to himself and finished putting the rest of his armor on, happy at least that there didn't seem to be any damage from the hook horror. He straightened up and faced Jaeden. "Okay, let's head on out. At least there's one less hook horror out there to bother us." He gestured in front of him. "Ladies first. Besides, you know where we're going and I don't."

Jaeden’s brows knit together as she noticed Mikaril struggle with his leg guard, she shook her head and laughed. “Ya’ know. You’re the first real friend I’ve had in awhile, I’m glad we met each other.” She smiled as she took her place in front of Mikaril. The path was long and winding, it seemed to go on forever but Jaeden was use to long journey’s. Though one thing was new, and that was a travel companion. She always made her trips alone and it didn’t bother her for the majority of the time but, it did make her feel quite lonely. As they made their way southward in complete silence, Jaeden’s mind began to swim with thoughts. She had almost forgotten why she had came to Eryndlyn in the first place! She shoved her right hand into the depths of the leather sack that hung at her side and withdrew a mound of linen. She unraveled the cloth and marveled at it’s prize that it held within; A small rounded gold coin with a skull etched into the center. She had stumbled upon this trinket back in Undrek Thoz, a street vender was selling it for a decent prize. She took it to appraisers in Undrek but none of them could discern what treasure it was part of or where it had even came from. Well not everyone in Undrek was useless, she had to give credit to one of the civilians; A blind shaman. Just by touching the coin he told her about an elderly appraiser in Eryndlyn. Once she had located the man there, he told her many centuries ago that a band of Shebali wandered into the Above World. While there, they encountered a fortress that was impregnable during the day but during the night the guard was extremely low. That night they snuck into the fortress, killed all the inhabitants, and ransacked the place. At the very core of the fort they found a wooden trunk filled to the brim with gold. So they took the trunk and began their journey back to the Under Dark with their winnings but, once they arrived home many issues arose. They fought over the winnings, who would take what or how much of the gold. In the end, greed got the best of them and the leader of the group killed all but one other member, the one who escaped with the treasure and ultimately hid it in the Southern region. The appraiser had also informed her that the treasure was rumored to be in a cave. That was what Jaeden was after.
Crashing back into reality Jaeden glanced over her shoulder at Mikaril, “Maybe he could help me?” She asked herself mentally as she clutched the coin tightly in her hand. Yes, that was a good idea. She could use him helping her find the treasure as leverage for her helping him find his brother. “Hey, Mikaril,” She spoke with a grin,” Would you like to help me with something?”

((LOL! It's a good thing she isn't thinking out loud; Mikaril's from Undrek Thoz. rofl By the way, in case you're the least bit curious about the hood thing, it's now in his journal in the form of a memory. ^^ *Begs for feedback* 83))
Mikaril found himself growing weary fairly quickly, which surprised him. Usually he could go for at least a day without worrying about an extensive rest. But then again, he didn't usually encounter hook horrors and bang himself up either. He turned to Jaeden as she asked her question, trying not to show that he was getting winded. "Sure, but let's wait until we hit the Glimmersea, huh? That way we can talk and still get someplace." It seemed like no time before he heard the quiet lapping of the water on the shores of the Glimmersea. Almost immediately he spotted his boat, half hidden beside a stalagmite, and with practiced ease he lifted it slightly and pushed it into the water. "It isn't much, but it should hold us both, and we can take turns rowing." When the shore was harder to see, Mikaril set the oars aside, intertwined his fingers and rested his chin on them. "Now then, can I ask you a question before you as me for a favor? I hope since you consider me a friend that this won't seem offensive to you or anything, but....you know you're far from the typical drow female. You don't boss me around or threaten me; hell, the only other person who's treated me as nice as you is my brother. Sooo......how come you're so different?"
((Sharin' time! >=D As though you haven't secretly wanted it. =3))

(( Four more days of school :,D Hoorah! But it's finals week D,: Boo ))
Jaeden just smiled earnestly as she glanced off the side of the boat, looking at her reflection for a brief moment. “I’m not offended at all. And I have had millions of people ask me why I act so strange and I guess….” Jaeden didn’t really know why she was so much different than other females. Maybe it was because her mother was of a different species? Or maybe it had to do with how much time she spent on the Surface World? She really had no clue why she acted this way. “…I guess it’s because of my time spent on the surface and because my mother was not a drow. That’s really the only logical explanations I have.” Jaeden grinned feebly, ”And, I really don’t like treating others horribly if it can be helped. I like to treat others equally.” Jaeden’s gazed drifted toward the water again.
She stretched her right hand out towards the water and allowed her fingertips to skim the surface for a moment before turning back to Mikaril. “It must be different huh? Being around a woman who doesn’t boss you around.”

((Boo for finals! DX))
Mikaril's eyes wandered to the vast ceiling of the Glimmersea, almost embarassed to look Jaeden in the eye. "I guess you take after your Dad in looks then, because you sure look like a full-blooded drow to me. And yes, it is different. I've never heard of a female treating any male like an equal, be they brother or serf or total stranger. It's something I'll probably be a while getting used to, to be honest."He wrinkled his nose in distaste as he recalled Jaeden's mentioning the surface. "I don't think I could ever go to the surface. I've heard the most awful things about it. The way there's no ceiling above you and how it's so bright and full of......faeries." He tore his gaze away from the ceiling and looked rather earnestly at Jaeden. "You're mother wasn't......one, by any chance, was she? A faerie I mean."
