"Its in Highfolk, just a short ways from the Town Council building," he said. He stared at Legion a moment. "Are you wanting to see Kish? We could see if Heldeng's about."

"That would be wonderful. I expected Katiana to be busy anyways. No need to disturb her." Indeed. That was probably his initial plan since he went to Highfolk and the area under the assumption she was off on another diplomatic or dare devil adventure with her trusted friends.

Sarvanick asked around and eventually found Kish and Heldeng in a garden area with Kish waddling around. "Heldeng! Hail and well met!" Sarvanick said.
"Ah, Sarvanick, good evening. I see you brought a friend. Oh! Its Legion," he said, coming over to shake hands. "Been a while."
Kish started to waddle over to the group, new people! Who were they?

Legion shook Heldeng's hand as it was offered. "It has. How have you been? Kish being good?" He noted the tyke heading towards them and gave her a small wave. He didn't quite have the guts to pick her up if she ever did get close enough, but he cautiously tried to pat her head if he had the chance.
"Thank you again Sarvanick for the guidance. I would have probably gotten horribly lost without you." Well he probably would have found Highfolk, but get lost at about there. It was better off this way. He had someone who could show him around.

"Well, I'm a tracker, its what I do," Sarvanick said.
"I've been good. She's gotten so big hasn't she? Katiana said I should spend some time with her, and she's already walking around!" Heldeng said.
Kish did walk up to them, and as he pat her head, she smiled and giggled, before tugging on her daddy's clothes to be picked up. Heldeng did, and she clung to him, looking over to wave at Legion with a wide slightly fanged smile on her face. "She knows you I see. Heh."
"I still can't believe Katiana had a kid," Sarvanick said. "I don't think I'll ever get over it." He hadn't gotten along very well with Heldeng that day, but now he had to get along with him, least for Katiana's sake.

Legion smiled, "That's a surprise... I don't really interact with her much." Still it was nice to know she knew him. "But you're right. She has grown up quite a bit." He would be mindful from now on, of Kish's growing. He would hate to not be watching and have her turn into an adult before he knew it.
"That was a shocker for sure." Legion would have to add to Sarvanick's comment. "Though I should have seen it coming eventually." He was, for a moment with his fingers, counting the number of occasions someone he thought that wouldn't have kids did. "It was a trend a long time ago. After the fifth time, you'd think I'd have gotten used to it." Of course, this one was a bit more personal in nature. He did wonder how all those children turned out though. Many of them took a time jump ahead.

Kish giggled, reaching for Legion's ears a little. Either to be held or to just play with her ears. Kish had started walking back in the hotel, but she still was growing up.
"I don't know if that's possible, well, if you'll excuse me, I need to go back on patrol," Sarvanick said, and exited the gardens.
"So... did something happen to Katiana on Gaia?" Heldeng asked, turning more to face Legion. "Her return was a bit odd... she took on a few odd jobs, a trip to the Goliaths, some Iuz missions, and has been keeping herself rather busy..."

Legion once again thanked Sarvanick, wishing him a safe round. He waited until Sarvanick made some distance before turning to Heldeng.
"Well I'm not too sure actually. I returned from my own excursions a few days ago... I've heard rumors mostly." He stated, bending over to let Kish touch his ears... either pair. "Of course, if they are true, I probably shouldn't be here anyways..."

Kish started stroking his fox ears with a giggle.

Legion let Kish play, his ears twitching in happiness of being played with. They didn't get much attention. After a while though, Legion pulled away to continue the conversation. "I've heard that wavering hearts led to a heartbreaking decision." He would not go into the depth of details, since he didn't know all that much conclusively himself. "And that choosing is masked by work. In either case, I'll stick to 'as long as she's happy' and await to escort her back."
... "... Though I feel more like I should head back and make you all say I was never here to begin with as time progresses."

"Huh... I see," Heldeng said. "She doesn't like making personal life choices, and I'm not going to be one to tell her otherwise. She knows I'm one who'll chase the tails of many an elf and human female alike."
Kish pouted when the ears got taken away and went back to hiding in her daddy's clothes. Suddenly being shy.
"I'm pretty sure she'd be happy having you here, I don't know why she wouldn't," Heldeng said. "But if that's what you want, can't really stop you. Why not stay for a while though... Kish probably would like that. Katiana said she might see you as a second father before long." That probably was going to make him run away though wasn't it? "Err...nevermind."

Legion chuckled at the thought, "I won't have much of a choice if it does happen anyways. At least until she grows up and comes to a decision herself." Rather than just accepting it as fact. He wouldn't run, but he wasn't father material. At least he believed so.
"I planned to stay a while anyways, if you'll let me. I've cleared up my job list so I don't have anything to do." He'd rather wait for Katiana and explore a little than to be stuck at his own place. He'd leave eventually if nothing got settled though. The continuous nag of his own conscious would make him regret coming.

"True enough," Heldeng agreed.
"Yeah, I don't have a problem with you staying here. We have guest rooms for visitors," he said. Kish giggled and hugged Heldeng tight. He smiled and patted her back. "Why don't we get you set up in a room then?"

"If we could, please. Thank you." Legion could do without the room, but he'd need some sort of sleeping bag at least. He wasn't that tough. Not any more.
He'd watch Kish when he had a moment between watching where he was walking and conversing with Heldeng once they started. She was adorable. He wasn't sure though... maybe just Legion would have been fine. Part of Legion wanted to hear her call him father though, in the cutest voice possible.

"Just this way," Heldeng led the way.
Kish chewed on a small piece of her daddy's shirt. She had teeth now, and small fangs could be seen. She'd start talking soon enough. And it would be killer cute.
Heldeng led Legion to the guest rooms and showed him into one. There was a bed, a washbin, and the basic essentials. "Here we are, unless you'd want something else?"
