Snowbird paced restlessly. It was almost ironic, he had been alert for physical delays and didn't think about one of the cats taking ill. Now he had to decide, have Heartpool nurse Starpelt back to health or to have a warrior try to find the herbs needed to restore the medicine cat apprentice? He stopped pacing to viciously berate a flea behind his ear our of frustration. Why must leadership come with so many dilemmas?
((Should we just let Heartpool do her thing? We'd be nearly up to speed if we skipped a day. >: ))

Starpelt laid on her side on the ground. She was furious with herself. How could she not notice that the prey was rotten. She hoped that Larksparrow wouldn't find out or she'd be in big trouble.
((I think Heartpool should help. That way it we don't have to try a warrior.))

(I agree, let Heartpool take care of it, no use in risking our warriors over it when we have a medicine cat... and it would help us catch up. Twi said we wouldn't have to skip a physical day of RP so I don't see the harm in it :3)
Nightdevil returned some time later with a couple field mice and a small rabbit dangling from his jaws Dropping the catch before his clanmates, the tom prodded the rabbit thoughtfully. "I surprised it," He began, switching his tail, "it was running from something else, so it practically lept into my claws. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had a chance." He laid down a little way away from the freshkill and peered at the kittypet-turned medicine cat curiously. "Do you think you can heal her, Heartpool?" He asked, not entirely unkind, but concerned all the same.

Moonstar had been thankful that no swimming would be involved- her wound still had a dull pain to it. But now, Starpelt was sick. Maybe she had been wrong...? "Heartpool, will you heal her?" she asked, after Nightdevil- the cat was a full medicine cat, she would have to know how to deal with sickness like this.

"Very nice Nightdevil. Surprised or not, they have some nasty claws on their back feet, good job." Snowbird praised the warrior, walking over and choosing a field mouse with a sigh.
"I think that you tending to her would be in out best interests." the white tom said to Heartpool. "It would be better for all of us to rest anyway, Moonstar is still sore from her wound and we all could use a break. Better to wait now then to possibly end up in trouble because we pressed on."
((Then we'll be skipping a day to let Starpelt recover, so end day?))

At the end of Monday, February 11th, The patrol decides to let Heartpool heal Starpelt.
Tuesday, February 12th, was spent resting.

Starpelt yawned. They had taken a small break for her and Moonstar mostly. She nodded her thanks to Heartpool as she padded beside the she-cat. Thanks to her she felt much better even though her stomach felt a little quisy.

Nightdevil yawned and stretched as the cats prepared to get going again. He felt a few bones pop into place comfortably as he straightened again and padded over to join the rest of the patrol near Snowbird. "How are you feeling this morning, Starpelt? Any better?" He asked, padding up beside her and Heartpool. The dark tom then turned his attention to the patrol leader and flicked his tail with suppressed excitement, "So, what do you think, Snowbird? Is the patrol ready to cross the river yet and continue our search?" Inside, the warrior prayed to starclan that no more misfortune descended upon their patrol; they were just trying to find the lost clan after all.

"Thanks, I feel a lot better thanks to Heartpool." Starpelt purred. She hoped no more misfortune would fall upon their small patrol. It would all delay them from finding WindClan.

She almost shivered at the thought. Swimming was for fish and RiverClan- no other cats. Her wound had healed, and she flet much better. She padded up beside Nightdevil.

Snowbird padded up to the patrol with a mouthful of fresh kill. He placed the few field mice and voles he had caught on the earth before them.
"I'm glad every one seems well rested and ready to start moving. I think we should all eat something and then we'll head in the direction of that bridge you mentioned earlier, Nightdevil." The white tom nodded to his black clanmate and chose a vole to satisfy his hunger before they continued.
As current patrol leader, I declare that we shall explore... East

19.) A Starclan cat visits the leader of your group in a dream, saying that she can call back a cat who has already headed home!
If you have cats in the Fourtrees medicine cat den, and less than 5 cats currently on your patrol, the patrol leader may choose one to return instantly to the patrol.
Shadowclan is missing no cats, therefore the day is over.

sorry guys caffe got sick right when you needed me...
Heartpool sighed and rest her head on her paws. she smiled at starpelt. now atleast the cats on her patrol knew she could heal. she stood and paced aound. "I think thats a wise idea..." She breathed and walked over to the group. "I say lets get this over with..."She smiled warmly. "I would kill for my nest back in the medicine cat den"
