"Well, see, I was born pretty far south of here...all the lions down there are dark colors. My father was a black lion....and so when he had me, a white lion, they thought it was a bad omen and rejected me." He sighed, tail patting gently. "But I don't mind. I travel alone, but....." Kojo's thoughts were riddled with curiosity. He wondered what it would be like to be part of a family...a pride. "You're going to start a pride...? That's cool!" The idea that a normal lion could begin a pride was absolutely absurd to him, but very interesting nonetheless. From his memory, all the pride leaders were big, elderly, experienced males. But having a strong female leader-especially one such as Nadine-seemed just as good. "I've kinda always wanted to be part of a pack, but I...I just, don't really fit in...."

Nadine looked around at all the other lions. "I don't see how any of us really 'fit in' if you're hung up on that. We're all quite different from each other."
Then, quite suddenly, she turned back to Kojo. Staring at him for a moment, and flicking her tail, she looked to Ashoka and grinned. "We're going to do it. We'll make our own pride. " Back at Kojo she stared for a moment. "Would you like to join us?"

Ashoka's ears perked up and he smiled at Nadine. "I'm behind ya all the way babe." He said as he laughed and winked at her. He was happy things were finally coming together. He looked back at Kojo and smiled while nodding. "Yes, of course. You're very welcome to join us if you'd like to."

Sachmet was lieing in the water just enough to cover her shoulders. She couldn't help hear that the lions on the side of the watering hole were making a pride. She recognized the male over there next to the female but the white male was unfamiliar to her. He was fairly attractive though. She turned away though. It wasn't her business. She closed her eyes and took in the light and cool water. She yawned and then just closed her eyes and rested waiting for her self to cool down enough to venture back to her grassy area.

Ash saw the lion, that was in the water, looking in their direction. He recognized her from their earlier meeting and wondered what she was up to. He told Kojo and Nadine that he'd be right back and headed over toward her. "Hello." He said as he reached the water's edge. "Nice to see you again. I'm pretty sure we didn't introduce ourselves earlier, either that or my memory is failing me." He smiled faintly and looked back at Nadine. "My name's Ashoka or Ash for short." He said as he looked back at the lioness. "That lioness over there is Nadine and the white lion's Kojo." He smiled more warmly now.

Anya's ears pricked. A pride? Hmm...she didn't mean to eavesdrop, but it just seemed to interesting to pass up.
Slowly, she stepped forward. "Do I hear the formation of a pride going on?" She asked slowly, her eyes holding slight curiosity. "I don't mean to butt in, but I've never really been in one since I came onto these lands..." Her tail flicked gently in slight thought giving a slight chuff of interest.
Van looked over at the other lions looking at him so strangely. It was slightly...weird. What? Never seen a lion with clothing before? He didn't have much of a mane either...
Taking up a little bit more water, he walked over to Anya standing close to her. The two shared a silent greeting of a nod before he listened to what they were saying.
Cipher kept low, warily looking over at the other lions. She tried to act nonchalant, slipping to the water's edge. She began to lap up the water slowly, taking it in her body to refresh herself.
The talk of a pride reached her ears. Cipher wasn't sure if she should go into the conversation. There was no way she could ever reach her pride, but what if there was no way to find them? Maybe she should take this chance...?

Kojo was taken aback at first-his impulse told him to insist against it, as did his logical mind. But his lonely heart refused to listen. "Ah-sure. Yeah. I'd love to join you guys." He grinned, tail whisking as he sat up, nodding Ashoka off and turning to Nadine. "But isn't there a pride here already, or...?" He turned to look at the new pair. The male was smaller than Kojo and dressed in strange clothes-the femme rather pretty, but not as striking as he thought the one at the river. "Yeah. They...we...are gonna start a pride." The words seemed so foreign to him-after so many moons of traveling alone, to be talking to other lions was odd enough-but to be joining their family? Absurd.

Anya flicked her ears. "Oh? That sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind looking into this forming pride...if I'm able?" The ligress tilted her head a little, looking over at the two lions and lioness.
"A pride?" Van gave a slight huff. "Isn't that like...a large group or something?" He slightly slouched, a look of confusion on his face. He wasn't exactly following anything the white lion was saying, but he was beginning to slightly irritate him. Van didn't know why, but the feeling around this male was...one of annoyance.
Cipher went forward slowly from the water. Her body was slightly damp from being in the cooling liquid, but she was thankful. She wasn't as parched or tired. Tail waving slowly, she slipped over to the other two lions that were asking about the forming pride. She kept low and tried to keep out of sight, yet within hearing distance.

Seeing the many lions with ears perked up for the first time, Nadine had an idea at last. Turning toward everyone, she looked up in the sky to realize that it was past noon time, and getting on toward sunset. Smiling, she spoke loud enough for everyone to hear.
" Yes. We're forming a pride. Ashoka and myself, Nadine, will lead it. For all interested, please meet by that tree..." she nodded toward the tree that Ash and Nadine had played in the day before, " at sunset. We'll discuss things there. I can't imagine making it too big, but then i can't see Ash having the heart to turn anyone away either."
Her speach over, she turned and walked up to Ash. "Come, we should go hunt for some dinner before light is up. We have much discussing to do." And with that, started off toward the open area to find her meal.
