It's the time it takes up that annoys me. I'm in 2 orchestras and 4 bands and it is so tiring. I don't get a single day to myself. Even my holidays I have to go to camp and that is tiring through practice and the other stuff... I also agree with FrenchBananaHorn in that people look at your case and call it the wrong instrument. Just yesterday I had some drunk guys on the bus wanting me to "Toot my Tuba" even though I had a French Horn!

FrenchBananaHorn People who don't practice, and the whole band does bad when they don't, we also get yelled at for them not practicing.... I also hate it when people say OMFG look at that tuba or Look at that Tuba...I hate it when people say that about French Horn cases or baritone cases...expecially when they are in BAND! That flat out annoys me because they know it isn't a freakin tuba, but they call it that anyways.. talk2hand Ugh... people not practicing doesn't annoy as much as people who not only don't practice, but also can't play their music. I could care less if you practice if you know your stuff. Look at my sig for the second one. I have a pic of me holding my horn. People on Gaia call it a tuba, so I put the disclaimer in below the link. So annoying when people can't even get two completely different instruments straight. mad

my teacher had the bad habit of choosing favorites and if you weren't his favorite you weren't paid any attention to. I never got passed Concert Band because the teacher didn't like me at all so he never really tried to help me get better.

When people play the c instead of C# or F# when it is F

In my band, we've got no egotistical trumpets.
...Trumpets were made to have ego..
Ours are terrible! D':

1. the drumline. they never shut up even when the bd's talking 2. the idiots in my band who screw their lives up by getting caught drinking by the cops and get their licenses revoked (and they think it's soo cool) 3. another who is inferior to me by grade (which is freshman and middle schoolers) doesn't listen to me when you ask them to do one tiny simple thing 4. late night marching band practice

I mainly hate my section because it's got NOTHING but stuck up prissy upperclassmen. Though what irks me the most is when the tuba's and trombones are cleaning out there spit valves and they 'accidently' shake spit all over the place. In my band period though-most of us are freshman-I hate it when the trumpets won't shut up and do what they're told. Half the period it's out band director yelling at them for not getting their horns up on time because they're too busy talking to one another. One word: Drum major

My director kinda hates me because all class me and the other boner just sit and laugh at her. The next thing is going to a game and not playing tequilla (i spelled it wrong on purpose) because "too many people dont have their music" okay, my second year playing, not that hard of a song AND it was the last football game of the year. Another thing i hate is when underclassmen get blamed even though it was the seniors idea(i've had MY mouthpeice taken away. . .) And the last thing i hate and everyone else hates is Band camp. Good times. . . but fundamentals can suck my balls
~EDIT~~ I lied, i hate the clarinets because they DONT PRACTICE. I hate 3rd and 4th trumpets because a monkey could play better than them and I HATE being told that we waist our own time when the director gives us 15 minute lectures about us not playing 1 little measure right while sight reading, out of a 40 minute class period.

Band Director.
she wont let us have sousaphones... (we had one then she got rid of it cause "Tubas have a more richer sound" BULLS@#t!!!
Answer me this, would you rather have a beat up old chevy =my Tuba thats a beat up,lost the hood-cap or would you rather have a smokin' hot racecar with da flames on da sides?! =Sousaphone
So now me and the other tuba have to raise 3 thousand and 100 dollars each for new ones sad
