~Liza Strathmore~
Liza nodded hesitantly and let go of Raven's hand. Not sure what else to say, she headed to the front steps where the door was being examined.

~Sukari Endshaw~
Seeing that the other girl hadn't taken the paper, she reads, "Knock before entering." loud enough for everyone to hear her, making sure that she wasn't right in Skai's ear.

~Skai Lustbader~
Skai's attention was momentarily distracted by Liza's approach, so it took her a moment to catch on to what Suki had said.
"What?" she repeated, dumbly, blinking in surprise, "'Knock before entering'?" She looked at the door in disbelief, frowning in annoyance.
"You have got to be kidding me," she muttered, shaking her head, and after a quick glance at Christian to see if she was seeing the same things, she rapped three times quickly on the door.

~Christian Lustbader~
Christian cocks an eyebrow at the announcement. She chalks it up to the owners wanting to spread this place's fame as a haunted house. Scare off the girls and let 'em spread the word about, but as spooky ghost letters go, that was weak. It'll take more than that to make this place a tourist trap. Ah, well. More fun to just roll with it.
"You mean it didn't occur to you to knock first? What's wrong with you, Skai? Just because they're ghosts is no excuse for being so rude."
Her delivery is very natural, making it a bit tough for those who don't know her to tell if the sarcasm dripping from her mouth is really sincere or not.

~Sukari Endshaw~ Suki just shrugs in response to Skai. She turns her attention to the girl who had greeted Raven, trying to get a sense of the girl's energy. She'd donw the same with Skai and got a wierd feeling, like something wasn't right(not the same type of feeling as if there had been a ghost, just like the girl had a secret or there was something she kept hidden about herself.. which many people tend to do, conciously or not, hers seemed to be conciously. Either way, Suki wasn't curious about the feeling enough to bug the girl about it.)

There is a brief period of inactivity following Skai's knocking at the door. However, the next sound after the rapping is a short series of clicks from behind the door handle.

~Skai Lustbader~
Skai was so perplexed by the note and the idea of knocking that she snapped reflexively at Christian - something she would normally not have done with others around. "I used a Ouija board last night and called ahead," she deadpanned, and then examined the door again. Had it just unlocked? She tried the handle again, trying to open the doors.

On Skai's second attempt, both the knobs and the doors themselves swing freely. By all accounts, the door is unlocked.

~Sukari Endshaw~ Suki watches the doors open, surprised more with the ease with which the doors opened than anything else. She looks at the other girl to see if she was going to enter right away or not.

~Sukari Endshaw~ Suki shrugs inwardly and walks in, feeling the air in the entrance for any telling signs of an otherworldly prescence. She places her bags down off to the side of the entrance. She looks around to check the condition of this building she'd be staying in for a minimum of two nights.
