"Geeze Spence, no need to flatter me." Demy snapped back, folding his arms and giving a rather irritated huff in the other's direction. "I'm fine...or I was until I tried to get some damn food..."

"Pfft....it was your stupid fault...." Spence grunted, getting back up to rummage through the fridge for food.

"Stop calling me stupid damnit!" The boy snarled, curling up on the couch so Spence would have less of a chance to comment on his appearance. He knew he looked bad, but damnit he -couldn't- stop. So whatever, everyone else could just screw off and deal with it.

The waiter ignored him, walking over the fridge and rustling around inside. "You like chinese?" he grunted from behind the door.

"Yeah..." Mmmm, he hadn't had Chinese in a while... He could stop snarling at the other long enough to get some food.

Spence returned, tossing him a small box and a beer. Maybe if the little rocker loosened up a bit, he could get some a** out of the deal for old times sake.

Demy took the box and beer, quickly digging in. Apparently the little guy was very hungry. As he ate the boy's tail wagged a bit.

Spence watched him a moment, smirking a bit wickedly. "...So where do you do gigs now?"

The tail wagging quickly stopped at that. The boy stared into his box a moment, trying not to look over at the other. "None of your business..."

"..But what if I wanna come see you play?" the elder prodded.

"...you'd want to come see me play?" Demy lifted his head, giving the other a confused look. Spence knew how he played...why on earth would he want to come watch?

"Maybe?" the waiter grinned innocently. In truth, he just wanted to see what kind of back alley place the kid was playing at these days.

Demy was silent a long moment, merely staring back at the grinning Spence. Eventually the boy dropped his gaze back to the food before him, ears flattening sadly. "Don't bother, I'm not worth it..." Demy grumbled, still quite sore over his failed attempt at putting on his own show. He hated admitting it, but he needed his band to back him up during a gig. "But I've got a place to live, and someone who still treats me like a star..." On the days he was being a good boy, at least. "So..." He shrugged, leaving it at that.

"Pft! I knew you were bullshitting me!....just think...if your dumb a** hadn't broken up the band...we might've still been something!" Spence snorted, sipping at his beer.

The boy let his head hang, too weary from earlier beatings to fend off the waiter's verbal assault. If one looked closely they might see the start of tears in the former star's eyes.
