Our cheerleaders hate us because we can cheer louder than they can because there are more of us...and our football team hates us because we are better than them and win more stuff than they do (they really suck) but other than that they love us. (Not all of our cheerleaders hate us, one of our drum majors is a cheerleader...and a bunch of football players are in band...god our school is so small!! sad )

Our cheeleaders hate us because...we're simply better than them. Whenever we play our fight song...they dance to it and act all peppy ::shudders:: But, when we the band, are tired of playing it at a normal tempo...we simply speed it up.
And then they try and dance to it...which they can't and they constantly complain about us playing it too fast.
Our BD says that we don't mean to....but secretly we love watching them screw up and sweat in thier skimpy little outfits. That and the fact, we can drown them out with just one trumpet or trombone.
Whenever the clarinets play a high C in the song "All Right Now", they plug their ears and start wincing. We try and play that song as much as possible....that and "Ghostbusters"

The cheerleaders at my school hate us because we always screw up their little dances when we play pep band music at the football games. I must admit it's fun though xd

I don't think our cheerleaders hate the band, to be honest. Maybe some of them do... but most of them don't. There's a flute player who's a cheerleader, too. And last year a violin player who was really close to our BD (our BD teaches orchestra too) was a cheerleader. They actually like us because we ACTUALLY cheer and they know if no one else does, the band will. And they know they can keep us happy by doing the burrito cheer a few times a game. (The burrito cheer has become the band cheer, and they know it.) We still make fun of them sometimes though, because who doesn't? Our BD made fun of the cheerleaders in front of the flute cheerleader once because she forgot the girl was there. Then she apologized like three seconds later. It was pretty funny. XD

Our band tortures the cheerleaders... literally. When we play Go-Fight-Win they have a little dance that they do, so we screw with them by either playing really slow or really fast. It's funny, half the time they have no clue what we're doing.

For us we have a great relation ship with the cheer leaders, they memorize our stand music and do little things and we do cheers. We just enjoy screaming biggrin

They're only jealous of us because they are ignored when the band is playing. The football players hate us because we play while they are trying to hear the play. The only way the people pay attention to the cheerleaders is when they do their silly dances to our songs and half the time they don't have a dance so they try to cheer over us... but they can't. Cheerleaders are obsolete and I think they kind of know it at our school...the crowd never interacts with them but they'll chant "Go Fight Win" and "Charge!" when we play the music for it!

Our band is supposed to cheer with our cheerleaders. (it was in the itinerary for our first game sweatdrop "remember to cheer with our cheerleaders") It's actually kinda hard to cheer with them though, because we can't really hear what they're saying and we don't know their cheers. We do the little "hey cheerleaders/drumline/band/Kimi (our drum major), how do you feel?" thing too. It's cute, but after a game my throat burns like an ant under a magnifying glass. 3nodding

Before the game, the band always marches around the track and the opposing team cheerleaders were like, "can you guys move? this is our spot!" It's too bad that that game was at OUR highschool. rolleyes
Then later, the opposite team started yelling stuff at us, and one of the guys started yelling back, "GO GET LAID!! GO GET LAID!!!" it was funny.
